< Isaiah 46 >

1 Bel te koisu tih Nebo khun coeng. Amih kah muei te mulhing neh rhamsa dongah om. Na hnohoei pataeng buhmueh rhathih ham tah hnorhih la a tloeng.
Bel has fallen, Nabo is broken to pieces, their graven images are gone to the wild beasts and the cattle: you take them packed up as a burden to the weary, exhausted, hungry, and [at the same time] helpless man;
2 A khun neh rhenten a koisu uh dongah hnorhih poenghal uh thai pawh. Te dongah amih kah hinglu tah tamna la cet.
who will not be able to save themselves from war, but they themselves are led [away] captive.
3 Jakob imkhui neh bungko lamloh ka yom tih ka bung dong lamkah ka poeh Israel imkhui kah a meet boeih loh kamah taengkah he ya uh saeh.
Hear me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of Israel, who are borne [by me] from the womb, and taught [by me] from infancy, [even] to old age:
4 Patong duela kai tah amah thim la ka om tih, sampok duela ka laetaep ni. Kamah loh ka saii dongah kamah long ni ka phueih eh. Ka laetaep vetih ka poenghal sak ni.
I am [he]; and until you shall have grown old, I am [he]: I bear you, I have made, and I will relieve, I will take up and save you.
5 U taengah nim kai nan lutlat sak uh vetih nan tluk sak uh eh, kai aka puet ham kamah bangla na om venim?
To whom have you compared me? see, consider, you that go astray.
6 Sungsa dong lamloh sui aka buk tih capu kong neh tangka aka thuek. Aka cilpoe te a paang uh tih pathen a saii pah te a buluk thil uh tih a bawk uh.
They that furnish gold out of a purse, and silver by weight, will weigh it in a scale, and they hire a goldsmith and make idols, and bow down, and worship them.
7 A laengpang dongah a koh uh tih a laetaep uh. Tedae amah hmuen la a tloeng akhaw a pai hmuen lamloh nong pawh. Anih te a doek akhaw a citcai lamloh doo pawt tih amah te khang bal pawh.
They bear it upon the shoulder, and go; and if they put it upon its place, it remains, it can’t move: and whoever shall cry to it, it can’t hear; it can’t save him from trouble.
8 He poek uh lamtah sap uh lah. Boekoek rhoek loh na lungbuei te mael takuh.
Remember you these things, and groan: repent, you that have gone astray, return in your heart;
9 Khosuen kah te lamhma la poek uh. Pathen kamah phoeiah Pathen tloe om pawt tih kai bang khaw om pawh.
and remember the former things [that were] of old: for I am God, and there is none other beside me,

telling beforehand the latter events before they come to pass, and they are accomplished together: and I said, all my counsel shall stand, and I will do all things that I have planned:
11 Khocuk lamkah vatlung neh khohla bangsang khohmuen lamkah a cilsuep hlang te ka cilsuep la ka khue. Ka thui tangtae te ni ka thoeng sak bal vetih, ka taeng tangtae te ka saii bal eh.
calling a bird from the east, and from a land afar off, for the things which I have planned: I have spoken, and brought [him]; I have created and made [him]; I have brought him, and prospered his way.
12 Kamah taengah hnatun uh lah, lungbuei aka lueng rhoek he duengnah lamkah neh daengrhae daengkhoi.
Listen to me, you senseless ones, that are far from righteousness:
13 Ka duengnah kang khuen he hlavak pawt tih kamah lamkah loeihnah he uelh mahpawh. Te dongah loeihnah he Zion taengah, ka boeimang te Israel taengah ka paek ni.
I have brought near my righteousness, and I will not be slow with the salvation that is from me: I have given salvation in Sion to Israel for glory.
