< Isaiah 44 >

1 Ka sal Jakob neh ka coelh Israel loh hnatun laeh.
“And now, hear, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have fixed on—
2 Hekah nang aka saii Yahovah long ni a thui. Te dongah bungko khuiah nang aka hlinsai loh nang m'bom ni. Ka sal Jakob nang rhih boeh, Jeshurun amah te khaw ka coelh coeng.
Thus said YHWH, your Maker, and your Former, From the womb He helps you: Do not fear, My servant Jacob, And Yeshurun, whom I have fixed on.
3 Tuihalh te tui neh, laiphuei te tuisih neh ka suep ni. Na tiingan te ka Mueihla neh, na cadil te ka yoethennah neh ka lun thil ni.
For I pour waters on a thirsty one, And floods on a dry land, I pour My Spirit on your seed, And My blessing on your offspring.
4 Te vaengah rhahlawn tui taengkah tuirhi bangla sulrham lakli ah daih ni.
And they have sprung up as among grass, As willows by conduits of water.
5 He long khaw, 'Kai tah BOEIPA ham ni, ' a ti vetih, ke long khaw Jakob ming neh a khue ni. He kah loh a kut neh BOEIPA kawng a daek vetih Israel ming neh a mingkhaep ni.
This [one] says, For I [am] YHWH’s, And this calls [himself] by the name of Jacob, And this [one] writes [with] his hand, For YHWH, And surnames himself by the name of Israel.”
6 Israel manghai Yahovah neh anih aka tlan caempuei BOEIPA loh, “Lamhma khaw kamah, lamhnuk khaw kamah coeng tih kai pawt atah Pathen tloe a om moenih.
Thus said YHWH, King of Israel, And his Redeemer, YHWH of Hosts: “I [am] the first, and I [am] the last, And besides Me there is no God.
7 Te dongah kamah bangla aka om te unim? Khue saeh lamtah doek lah saeh. Khosuen kah pilnam ka khueh parhi te ka hmaiah tael lah saeh. Aka thoeng tih aka thoeng ham te khaw a taengah puen uh.
And who [is] as I, call and declare it, And arrange it for Me, Since My placing the people of antiquity, And things that are coming, And those that come, they declare to them.
8 Rhih boeh, tangyah khueh boeh. Nang kan yaak sak tih ka puen dangrhae moenih a? Nangmih tah kamah kah laipai rhoek ni. Kai pawt atah Pathen tloe om a? Lungpang khaw a om moenih, ka ming khaw ka ming moenih.
Do not fear, nor be afraid, Have I not caused you to hear from that time, and declared? And you [are] My witnesses, Is there a God besides Me? Indeed, there is none, I have not known another Rock.”
9 Amih mueithuk aka hlinsai khaw boeih hinghong. A sanaep nen khaw a hoeikhang uh moenih. Amih loh amamih kah laipai rhoek khaw hmu uh pawt tih a ming uh pawt dongah yah a pohuh.
Framers of a carved image, all of them [are] emptiness, And their desirable things do not profit, And they [are] their own witnesses, They do not see, nor know, that they may be ashamed.
10 Unim pathen aka picai tih a hoeikhang pawt ham mueithuk aka hloe?
Who has formed a god, And poured out a molten image—not profitable?
11 Anih hui rhoek tah boeih yak uh pawn ni ke. Amih kah kutthai rhoek te hlang boeiloeih ni. Amih te boeih coi uh thae saeh lamtah pai uh saeh. A rhih uh vetih rhenten yak uh ni.
Behold, all his companions are ashamed, As for artisans—they [are] of men, All of them gather together, they stand up, They fear, they are ashamed together.
12 Kutthai loh thi tubael te hmaisa-aek neh a saii. Thilung neh a hlinsai tih a thadueng ban neh a saii. A lamlum vaengah thadueng bawt tih tui a ok pawt dongah tawnba.
He has worked iron [with] an axe, And has worked with coals, And forms it with hammers, And works it by his powerful arm, Indeed, he is hungry, and there is no power, He does not drink water, and he is wearied.
13 Kutthai loh thing te a rhi a nueh tih thisum neh a rhuen. Suet neh a yael tih cumkai neh a hiil. Te phoeiah im ah hol hamla hlang kah a muei la, hlang kah a boeimang la a saii.
He has worked [with] wood, He has stretched out a rule, He marks it out with a line, He makes it with carving tools, And he marks it out with a compass, And makes it according to the form of a man, According to the beauty of a man, To remain in the house.
14 Te ham te lamphai khaw a saii tih yongmai neh thingnu khaw a loh. Te ham te duup kah thing caang neh rhumrhet thing khaw a phung tih khonal neh a rhoeng sak.
Cutting down cedars for himself, He also takes a cypress, and an oak, And he strengthens [it] for himself Among the trees of a forest, He has planted an ash, and the shower nourishes [it].
15 Hlang kah a toih ham khaw a om pah. Amah te a loh bal tih pahoi a om. A cum bal tih buh a thong nah. Pathen la nunan a saii tih a saii mueithuk te a bawk tih a buluk thil.
And it has been for man to burn, And he takes of them, and becomes warm, Indeed, he kindles [it], and has baked bread, Indeed, he makes a god, and bows himself, He has made it a carved image, And he falls down to it.
16 A ngancawn te hmai dongah a hoeh, a ngancawn dongah maeh a hai tih a caak. Maehkaeh te a hah vaengah kaeng uh tih, “Ahuei, hmaipuei ka hmuh tih ka om,” a ti.
Half of it he has burned in the fire, By [this] half of it he eats flesh, He roasts a roasting and is satisfied, Indeed, he is warm and says: “Aha, I have become warm, I have enjoyed the light.”
17 A meet te pathen la, a mueithuk la a saii. Te te a buluk, a buluk thil tih a bawk. A taengah thangthui tih, “Kai kah pathen namah loh kai n'huul lah,” a ti nah.
And he has made its remnant for a god—For his carved image, He falls down to it, and worships, And prays to it, and he says, “Deliver me, for you [are] my god.”
18 A mik loh a hmuh tih a lungbuei loh a cangbam ham khaw malh a bol coeng dongah ming uh pawt tih yakming pawh.
They have not known, nor do they understand, For He has coated their eyes from seeing, Their heart from acting wisely.
19 A lungbuei khaw a taengla mael pah pawh. Mingnah khueh pawt tih a lungcuei khaw om pawh. “A ngancawn te hmai dongah ka hoeh tih a alh dongah buh ka thong. Maeh ka hai tih ka caak. A coih te khaw tueilaehkoi la ka saii saeh lamtah thingkung thinglong taengah ka buluk eh?,” a ti.
And none turn [it] back to his heart, Nor has knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire, Indeed, I have also baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And I make its remnant for an abomination, I fall down to the stock of a tree.”
20 Hmaiphu kah aka luem rhoek loh a lungbuei omsaa tih amah a phaelh sak. A hinglu te a huul thai pawt dongah, “Ka bantang ah aka om he a honghi moenih a?” a ti tloel.
Feeding on ashes, the heart is deceived, It has turned him aside, And he does not deliver his soul, nor says: “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
21 He rhoek he Jakob neh Israel loh thoelh saeh. Nang tah kai kah sal ni. Nang te kamah taengah sal la ka hlinsai coeng. Nang Israel loh kai nan hnilh voel mahpawh.
“Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, For you [are] My servant, I formed you, you [are] a servant to Me, O Israel, you do not forget Me.
22 Na boekoek te khomai bangla, na tholh cingmai bangla ka huih sak. Nang te kan tlan coeng dongah kamah taengla ha mael laeh.
I have blotted out, as [by] a thick cloud, Your transgressions, And as [by] a cloud, your sins, Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
23 BOEIPA loh a saii coeng dongah vaan rhoek te tamhoe laeh. Diklai laedil rhoek khaw yuhui uh laeh. Tlang rhoek loh duup puei tamlung neh a khuikah thing rhoek boeih te rhong puei saeh. BOEIPA loh Jakob a tlan tih Israel soah khaw kohang coeng.
Sing, O heavens, for YHWH has worked, Shout, O lower parts of earth, Break forth, O mountains, with singing, Forest, and every tree in it, For YHWH has redeemed Jacob, And He beautifies Himself in Israel.
24 Nang aka tlan tih bungko khuiah nang aka hlinsai BOEIPA loh, “Kai Yahovah tah vaan aka aih uh ke boeih ka saii. Kamah bueng loh diklai tui ka nulh vaengah kai taengah aka om te unim.
Thus said YHWH, your Redeemer, And your Framer from the womb: “I [am] YHWH, doing all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, Spreading out the earth—who [is] with Me?
25 Olsai kah miknoek te aka phae tih, aka hma kah a yan te a balkhong sak. Aka cueih rhoek te a namnah dongah, amamih kah mingnah loh a pavai sak.
Making void the tokens of devisers, And makes diviners mad, Turning the wise backward, And makes their knowledge foolish.
26 A sal kah ol a thoh tih a puencawn kah cilsuep te a thuung. Jerusalem kah aka thui te kho a sak sak saeh lamtah Judah khopuei rhoek te khoeng uh saeh. Te vaengah a imrhong te ka thoh bitni.
Confirming the word of His servant, He perfects the counsel of His messengers, Who is saying of Jerusalem, She is inhabited, And of cities of Judah, They will be built, and her ruins I raise up,
27 Tuidung te, “Kak laeh,” aka ti loh tuiva nang khaw kang haang sak ni.
Who is saying to the deep, Be dry, and your rivers I cause to dry up,
28 Cyrus te kamah kah boiva aka dawn ni ka ti. Ka hue ngaih boeih khaw han thuung ni. Jerusalem te khoeng saeh lamtah bawkim khaw suen saeh ka ti.
Who is saying of Cyrus, My shepherd, And he perfects all My delight, So as to say of Jerusalem, You are built, And of the temple, You are founded.”
