< Isaiah 26 >

1 Tekah khohnin ah tah Judah kho ah hekah laa he a sak ni. “Mamih ham sarhi la aka tak khopuei, khangnah vongtung neh rhalmahvong khaw a khueh.
In that day, shall be sung this song, in the land of Judah, —A strong city, have we! Salvation, will he set for walls and rampart,
2 Vongka rhoek ong uh lamtah oltak aka ngaithuen namtu loh a dueng la kun van saeh.
Open ye the gates, —That there may enter in—a righteous nation preserving fidelity.
3 Benbonah aka talong tih namah dongah aka pangtung kah rhoepnah ngaimongnah tah na kueinah ni.
A purpose sustained, thou wilt guard, [saying], Prosper! Prosper! Because in thee, hath he been led to trust.
4 BOEIPA dongah a yoeyah la pangtung lah. BOEIPA Yahweh tah kumhal lungpang la om.
Trust ye in Yahweh, unto futurity, —For, in Yah, Yahweh, is a rock of ages.
5 Hmuensang khorha kah khosa khaw a ngam sak. Aka pomdoep uh te khaw diklai ah a kunyun, a kunyun sak tih, laipi khuila a bol.
For he hath brought down the inhabitants of the height the city exalted, —He layeth it low, Layeth it low even to the ground, Levelleth it, even to the dust:
6 Te vaengah mangdaeng kah a kho, a kho ah tattloel kah khokan loh a taelh.
The foot trampleth it, —The feet of the lowly, The steps of the weak,
7 Aka dueng kah caehlong tah vanat tih aka thuem kah namtlak te a dueng la na saelh pah.
The path of a righteous man, is, even, —O Upright One! the track of a righteous man, thou makest level.
8 BOEIPA namah kah caehlong tah tiktam pai, na ming ham nang kan lamtawn uh tih, ka hinglu ngaihlihnah tah namah poekkoepnah ham om saeh.
Surely in the path of thy regulations, O Yahweh, we waited for thee, —Unto thy Name and unto thy Memorial, was there a longing of soul:
9 Ka hinglu neh khoyin ah nang kan ngaidam. Ka khui kah ka mueihla long khaw nang kan toem. Diklai hman kah na laitloeknah vanbangla lunglai dongkah khosa rhoek loh duengnah a cang uh.
With my soul, longed I for thee in the night, Yea with my spirit within me, I kept on searching for thee, —For, when thy regulations [extend] to the earth, The inhabitants of the world will have learned, righteousness.
10 Halang te rhen mai cakhaw khohmuen kah duengnah khaw a cang moenih. Oldueng a phayoe sak tih BOEIPA kah rhimomnah te hmu pawh.
Let favour be shewed to the lawless, he hath not learned righteousness, In a land of honest dealings, he acteth perversely, —And seeth not the splendour of Yahweh.
11 BOEIPA nang kah kut thueng te hmu uh pawh. Pilnam kah thatlainah loh hmu saeh lamtah yahpok kolo saeh. Na rhal rhoek kah hmai long khaw amih te hlawp nawn saeh.
O Yahweh though thy hand be lifted up, —yet do they not see, Would they might see—and turn pale at a people’s zeal, —Surely, the fire of thine enemies, must consume them!
12 BOEIPA aw, kaimih ham rhoepnah nan tloeng tih kamamih kah bitat boeih khaw kaimih yueng la na saii.
O Yahweh, thou wilt ensure prosperity for us, —For even all our works, hast thou wrought for us,
13 Kaimih kah Pathen BOEIPA nang voelkah boei rhoek loh kaimih n'rhukom thil. Na ming neh namah bueng ni kam poek uh.
O Yahweh, our God! Lords other than thee, have owned us, —By thyself alone, will we call upon thy Name.
14 Aka duek rhoek te hing uh pawt tih sairhai he khaw thoo uh noek pawh. Te dongah amih te na hip tih na milh sak. Te vaengah amih poekkoepnah khaw boeih na paltham sak.
The dead, come not to life again, The shades, do not arise, —Therefore, thou hast visited and destroyed them, And caused to perish every memorial of them.
15 Namtom te na thap coeng. BOEIPA namah loh na thap namtom loh namah n'thangpom coeng tih diklai khobawt khaw boeih na lakhla sak.
Thou hast increased the nation, O Yahweh, Thou hast increased the nation thou hast gotten thyself glory, Thou hast extended far, all the ends of the land.
16 Rhal lakli ah khaw BOEIPA namah te ng'hip uh tih amih te na thuituennah neh na calthai loh a kilh.
O Yahweh! in distress, they sought thee, —They poured out a whispered prayer, when thy chastening was upon them.
17 Aka vawn loh camoe om ham a tawn uh bangla, aka vawn loh a tharui khui kah a tloh neh a pang bangla, BOEIPA nang kah mikhmuh ah ka om uh tangkhuet.
Like as a woman with child—Draweth near to giving birth, Is in pain, Crieth out in her pangs So, were we before thee, O Yahweh; —
18 Ka vawn uh tih pumrih uh dae khohli ni ka cun uh. Diklai ah khangnah khaw n'saii uh pawt tih lunglai kah khosa khaw cungku uh hae pawh.
We were with child—We were in pain, As it were we brought forth wind, —Salvation, we could not accomplish for the earth, Neither were born the inhabitants of the world.
19 Namah ah aka duek rhoek tah hing uh ni. Ka rhok he khaw thoo ni. Laipi dongkah khosa rhoek khaw haenghang vetih tamhoe ni. Namah kah buemtui khosae buemtui bangla diklai long he sairhai rhoek te a cungku sak ni.
Thy dead, shall come to life again, My dead body, they shall arise, —Awake and shout for joy, ye that dwell in the dust For, a dew of light, is thy dew, And, earth, to the shades shall give birth.
20 Ka pilnam aw cet lamtah namah imkhui la kun laeh. Na thohkhaih te khai laeh. Kosi a poeng la a poeng hil tah mikhaptok ca khaw na hnuk longah bet thuh dae.
Come my people, enter into thy chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, —Hide thee as it were a little moment Till the indignation pass over.
21 Diklai khosa rhoek kathaesainah te cawh hamla amah hmuen lamloh BOEIPA ha pawk coeng ke. Te vaengah a sokah thii te diklai loh a phoe vetih a pum dongkah a ngawn uh te khaw phah voel mahpawh.
For lo! Yahweh, is coming forth out of his place, To visit the iniquity of earth’s inhabitant upon him, —Therefore shall the earth unveil her shed-blood, And throw a covering, no longer over her slain.
