And we answered my lorde that the lad coude not goo from his father for if he shulde leaue his father he were but a deed man.
23 Tedae na salrhoek la, 'Na manaa poeih te nan suntlak puei pawt atah kai maelhmai hmuh ham khoep uh boeh,’ na ti.
Than saydest thou vnto thy servauntes: excepte youre yongest brother come with you loke that ye se my face no moare.
24 Te dongah na sal rhoek he a pa taengla ka pawk uh vanneh ka boeipa kah olka te anih taengla ka puen uh.
And when we came vnto thy servaunt oure father we shewed him what my lorde had sayde.
25 Te dongah a pa loh, 'Mah ham khaw caak bet vawn uh bal dae,’ a ti nah.
And when oure father sayde vnto vs goo agayne and bye vs a litle fode:
26 Te vaengah, “Kaimih taengah ka manaa poeih om pawt koinih hlang maelhmai hmuh hama coeng pawt dongah, 'Ka manaa poeih loh kaimih taengaha om pawt mai ah ka caeh uh ham coeng pawh tedae halo atah ka cet uh ni,’ ka ti uh.
we sayd yt we coude not goo. Neverthelesse if oure youngeste brother go with vs then will we goo for we maye not see the mannes face excepte oure yongest brother be with vs.
27 Te vaengah na sal rhoek he a pa loh, 'Ka yuu loh kai ham panit han sak te nangmih long khaw na ming uh.
Then sayde thy servaunt oure father vnto vs. Ye knowe that my wyfe bare me. ij. sonnes.
28 Tedae pakhat he kai taeng lamloh cet coeng. Te dongah, 'A ngaeh ngawn a ngaeh tang coeng,’ ka ti. Te dongah ni tahae due anih te ka hmu pawh.
And the one went out from me and it is sayde of a suertie that he is torne in peaces of wyld beastes and I sawe him not sence.
29 Anih he khaw ka mikhmuh lamkahna khuen uh tih anih loh yoethae puei bal koinih kai sampok he saelkhui aha thae la nan hla uh ve,’ a ti. (Sheol )
Yf ye shall take this also awaye fro me and some mysfortune happen apon him then shall ye brynge my gray heed with sorow vnto the grave. (Sheol )
30 Te dongah na sal kai loh a pa taeng ka pha tih kaimih taengah camoe amah te om pawt koinih a hinglu neh a hinglu te a hlaengtang uh rhoi dongah,
Now therfore whe I come to thy servaunt my father yf the lad be not with me: seinge that his lyfe hageth by the laddes lyfe
31 camoe te hah a sawt vaengah duek koinih na sal rhoek loh a pa sampok na sal te saelkhui ah kothae la ka hlak uh la vik poeh ni. (Sheol )
then as soone as he seeth that the lad is not come he will dye. So shall we thy servautes brynge the gray hedde of thy servaunt oure father with sorow vnto the grave. (Sheol )
32 Na salpa loh camoe te a pa taengah rhi ka khang tih, 'Anih he nang taengla kam pawk puei pawt atah a pa taengah hnin takuem ka tholh ka phueih bitni,’ ka ti nah.
For I thy servaunt became suertie for the lad vnto my father and sayde: yf I bringe him not vnto the agayne. I will bere the blame all my life loge.
33 Te dongah na salpa he camoe yuengah ka boeipa kah sal la ka om mai saeh lamtah camoe te a mayarhoek neh bal sak mai.
Now therfore let me thy servaunt byde here for ye lad and be my lordes bondman: and let the lad goo home with his brethern.
34 Camoe kamah nen pawt koinih a pa taengah metlam caeh eh? A pa taengah yoethaea hmuh man ka hmuh lah ve,” a ti nah.
For how can I goo vnto my father and the lad not wyth me: lest I shulde see the wretchednes that shall come on my father.
