And the famine [was] heavy in the land.

And it was just when they finished to eat the grain which they had brought from Egypt and he said to them father their go back buy for us a little of food.
3 Te vaengah Judah loh a napa te, “Hlang loh kaimih taengah, 'Na mana te namah neh na pawk pawt atah kai maelhmai na hmuh uh mahpawh,’ a ti tih n'hih la n'hih.
And he said to him Judah saying certainly he warned us the man saying not you will see face my except brother your [is] with you.
4 Ka mana te nan tueih mai koinih ka cet uh vetih namah ham man caak ka lai uh ve.
If there you [are] sending brother our with us we will go down and we will buy for you food.
5 Nan tueih van pawt atah hlang loh kaimih taengah, 'Na mana te namah neh na pawk pawt atah kai maelhmai hmu uh mahpawh,’ a ti oeh dongah ka cet uh mahpawh, a ti nah.
And if not you [are] sending [him] not we will go down for the man he said to us not you will see face my except brother your [is] with you.

And he saw Joseph with them Benjamin and he said to [the one] who [was] over household his bring the men the house towards and slaughter a slaughter and prepare [it] for with me they will eat the men at noon.

And they were afraid the men that they were brought [the] house of Joseph and they said on [the] matter of the silver which returned in sacks our at the beginning we [are] being brought to roll himself on us and to throw himself on us and to take us to slaves and donkeys our.
19 Te dongah Joseph im kah hlang taengla thoeih uh tih im kah thohka ah a voek uh.
And they approached the man who [was] over [the] household of Joseph and they spoke to him [the] entrance of the house.
20 Te phoeiah, “Ka boeipa aw, a moecuek vaengah ni caak lai ham ka suntlak khaw ka suntlak uh coeng.
And they said pardon us O lord my certainly we came down at the beginning to buy food.

And it was that we came to the lodging place and we opened! sacks our and there! [the] silver of each man [was] in [the] mouth of sack his silver our in weight its and we have brought back it in hand our.
22 Te phoeiah caak lai ham te ka kut dongah tangka a hloeh la kang khuen uh ngawn. Unim kaimih kah sungkoi dongah tangka a khueh dae ka ming uh pawh,” a ti uh.
And silver other we have brought down in hand our to buy food not we know who? did he put silver our in sacks our.
23 Tedae Joseph im om loh, “Nangmih taengah rhoepnah om saeh, rhih uh boeh. Na Pathen neh na pa kah Pathen loh na sungkoi dongah nangmih ham kawn a khueh tih na tangka loh kai taeng ham pha coeng,” a ti nah tih Simeon te amih taengla a mawt pah.
And he said peace [be] to you may not you fear God your and [the] God of father your he gave to you treasure in sacks your silver your it came to me and he brought out to them Simeon.
24 Tekah hlang loh hlang rhoek te Joseph im la a khuen. Tui a paek tih a kho a yuh phoeiah laak ham rhamcak khaw a tloeng pah.
And he brought the man the men [the] house of towards Joseph and he gave water and they washed feet their and he gave fodder to donkeys their.
25 Tedae khothun buh caak pahoi ham Joseph ha pawk ni tila a yaak uh dongah a khosaa te a soepboe uh.
And they prepared the gift until came Joseph at noon for they had heard that there they will eat food.
26 Te dongah im la Joseph halo van neh a kut dongkah khosaa te im khuila a khuen uh tih a hmaiah diklai la bakop uh.
And he came Joseph the house towards and they brought to him the gift which [was] in hand their the house towards and they bowed down to him [the] ground towards.
27 Te phoeiah amih te sading kawng a dawt tih, “Na pa patong na ti uh te sading la hing pueng a?,” a ti nah.
And he asked of them to welfare and he said ¿ health [is] father your old whom you spoke ¿ [is] still he alive.
28 Te vaengah, “Na sal rhoek khaw ka sading uh tih a pa khaw hing pueng,” a ti nah uh phoeiah buluk uh tih a bawk la a bawk uh coeng.
And they said health [belongs] to servant your to father our still he [is] alive and they bowed low (and they bowed down. *Q(K)*)

And he lifted up eyes his and he saw Benjamin brother his [the] son of mother his and he said ¿ [is] this brother your young whom you spoke to me and he said God may he show favor to you O son my.

And he hurried Joseph for they grew warm compassion his to brother his and he sought to weep and he went the inner room towards and he wept there.

And he washed face his and he came out and he restrained himself and he said set food.
