And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
2 Thoo, Padanaram kah na nu kah a napa Bethuel im la cet lamtah na nupu Laban canute na yuu la lo.
Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take you a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.
3 Pathen Tlungthang loh nang te yoethen m'paek vetih na pungtai uh phoeiah na ping uh vaengah pilnam hlangping lana om bitni.
And God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a multitude of people;
4 Tedae Pathen loh Abraham taengaha paek tangtae Abraham kah yoethennah, na lampahnah kho he nang neh na tiingan loh na pang ham m'pae saeh” a ti nah.
And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with you; that you may inherit the land wherein you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham.
5 Te phoeiah Isaak loh Jakob tea tueih tih Jakob neh Esau kah a manu Rebekah kah nganpa Laban, Paddanaram Arammi Bethuel capa taengla cet.
And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram to Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob’s and Esau’s mother.
6 Tedae Isaak loh Jakob yoethen a paek tih a yuu aka lo ham Paddanaram laa tueih te khaw, Jakob te yoethen a paek vaengah Kanaan nu tena yuu la lo boeha tinah tiha uen te khaw Esauloh a hmuh.
When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from there; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
8 Esau long khaw a napa Isaak kah mik ah Kanaan nute thae tilaa hmuh.
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
9 Te dongah Esau loh Ishmael taengla cet tih a yuurhoek hmanah Abraham capa Ishmael canu Mahalath, Nebaioth ngannu te a yuu laa loh.
Then went Esau to Ishmael, and took to the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
10 Te vaengah Jakob loh Beersheba lamloh cet tih Haran la pawk.
And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

And he lighted on a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: the land where on you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed;
14 Nang kah tiingan tah diklai laipi bangla om vetih khothoeng tuitunli neh tuithim tlangpuei lana pungtai uh phoeiah nang neh nang tiingan rhang neh diklai huiko boeihloh a yoethen uh ni.
And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 Kai he nang taengah ka om tihna caeh nah boeih ah nang kan ngaithuen. Te dongah nangte he khohmuen la kam mael puei bitni. Nang taengah ka thui te ka saii hlan vaengah nang kan hnoo mahpawh,” a ti nah.
And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to you of.

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil on the top of it.
19 Te dongah tekah khopuei mingte lamhma ah Luz la om dae hatah tekah hmuen ming te Bethellaa khue.
And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
20 Te phoeiah Jakob loh olcaeng neh a caeng tih, “Pathen loh kai taengah om tih he longpuei ah ka caeh vanbangla, kai n'dawndah phoeiah caak ham buh neh bai ham himbaite kai m'paek bal tih,
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that you shall give me I will surely give the tenth to you.
