1 Te tlamte vaanrhoek khaw, diklai khaw, amih kah caempuei boeih khaw a coeng.
And the heavens and the earth and all their host were finished.
2 Pathen loh amah kah a bi saii te hnin rhih neha coeng tiha hnin rhih vaengah a bibi saii boeih tea duem tak.
And God had finished on the seventh day his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 Te phoeiah Pathenloh a rhih khohnin te yoethen a paek tih te tea ciim. Te vaengah Pathen tah saii hama suen a bibi boeih lamloh duem.
And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it, because that on it he rested from all his work which God had created in making it.
4 He tah BOEIPA Pathen loh diklai neh vaana saii tue aha suen vaan neh diklai kah a rhuirhong ni.
These are the histories of the heavens and the earth, when they were created, in the day that Jehovah Elohim made earth and heavens,
5 Te vaengah BOEIPA Pathen loh diklai la kho a tlan sak hlan dongah kohong kah tangpuem boeih khaw diklai ah poe hlan. Te dongah lohma kah baelhing boeih daih hlan tih lo tawn ham hlang ana om pawh.
and every shrub of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew; for Jehovah Elohim had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground.
6 Tedae diklai lamkah tuihu ha thoeng tih diklai hman boeiha suep.
But a mist went up from the earth, and moistened the whole surface of the ground.
7 Te phoeiah BOEIPA Pathen loh diklai lamkah laipi te hlanglaa hlinsai. Te phoeiah hingnah hiilte a hnarhong aha ueng pah tih aka hing tongpa hinglu la coeng.
And Jehovah Elohim formed Man, dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul.
8 Te dongah BOEIPA Pathen loh khothoeng kah Eden ah duma hlo tiha hlang saii tea khueh.
And Jehovah Elohim planted a garden in Eden eastward, and there put Man whom he had formed.
9 BOEIPA Pathen loh diklai lamkah thing mueimae then neh caak then boeih tea poe sak tih dum kah laklung ah hingnah thing neha thaea then mingnah thing om.
And out of the ground Jehovah Elohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; and the tree of life, in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 Te vaengah dum aka suep ham Eden lamkah tuiva long tih te lamkaha phih uh vaengah tuisae pali la coeng.
And a river went out of Eden, to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became four main streams.
11 Lamhma kaha ming tah Pishon tih sui aka om Havilah khohmuen tomlaa ken.
The name of the one is Pison: that is it which surrounds the whole land of Havilah, where the gold is.
12 Te khohmuen kah sui tah then tih thingpi neh oitha lungto khaw pahoi om.
And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and the onyx stone are there.
13 Te phoeiah tuiva pabae kah a ming tah Khusah khohmuen boeih aka hil Gihon ni.
And the name of the second river is Gihon: that is it which surrounds the whole land of Cush.
14 Te phoeiah tuivaa pathum kah ming tah khothoeng Assyria la aka long Khiddekel ni. Tuivaa pali nah tetah Perath ni.
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which flows forward toward Asshur. And the fourth river, that is Euphrates.
15 Te phoeiah BOEIPA Pathen loh hlang tea loh tih Eden dum ah thotat ham neh dum aka hung hama khueh.
And Jehovah Elohim took Man, and put him into the garden of Eden, to till it and to guard it.
16 Te dongah BOEIPA Pathen loh hlang taengaha uen tih, “Dum kah thingkung boeih te caak la ca.
And Jehovah Elohim commanded Man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou shalt freely eat;
17 Tedaea then neha thae mingnah thingkung lamkahte ca boeh. Te te na caak hnin vaeng lamlohna duek rhoe na duek ni,” a ti nah.
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest of it thou shalt certainly die.
18 Te vaengah BOEIPA Pathen loh, “Hlang he amah bueng tah om ham then pawh anih ham amah neh a naii uh la bomkung ka saii ni,” a ti.
And Jehovah Elohim said, It is not good that Man should be alone; I will make him a helpmate, his like.
19 Te dongah BOEIPA Pathen loh diklai lamkah, a hlin a sai kohong mulhing boeih neh vaan kah vaa boeih soah metlaa khuete hmuh ham khaw, hlang loh a khue boeih te tah mulhing hinglu ming la om sak ham khaw, hlang taenglaa khuen.
And out of the ground Jehovah Elohim had formed every animal of the field and all fowl of the heavens, and brought [them] to Man, to see what he would call them; and whatever Man called each living soul, that was its name.
20 Te dongah hlang loh rhamsa boeih khaw, vaan kah vaa te khaw, kohong kah mulhing khaw, minga paek dae Adam neh aka tiing la bomkung hmu pawh.
And Man gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; but as for Adam, he found no helpmate, his like.
21 Te dongah BOEIPA Pathen loh tongpa te muelha ih sak. A ih vaengah a vaerhuh pakhat te a loh pah phoeiaha pumsa kah a hma te tloep a saibawn sak.
And Jehovah Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall upon Man; and he slept. And he took one of his ribs and closed up flesh in its stead.
22 Te phoeiah BOEIPA Pathen loh tongpa lamkaha loh vaerhuh te huta laa saii tih tongpa taenglaa khuen.
And Jehovah Elohim built the rib that he had taken from Man into a woman; and brought her to Man.
23 Te vaengah tongpa loh, “Tahae kah he ka rhuh lamkah ka rhuh, ka saa lamkah ka saa ni. Anih he tongpa lamkaha loh dongah huta tila ka khue ni,” a ti
And Man said, This time it is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: this shall be called Woman, because this was taken out of a man.
24 Te dongah tongpa loh a napa neh a manu te a toeng ni. Te phoeiah a yuu taengla khoem uh vetih pumsa pakhat la om rhoi ni.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
25 Te vaengah tongpa neh a yuu tah pumtling la om rhoi dae yak rhoi pawh.
And they were both naked, Man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
