Puis Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait un firmament entre les eaux, et qu'il sépare les eaux les unes des autres.

Et Dieu fit le firmament, et sépara les eaux qui sont au-dessous du firmament, des eaux qui sont au-dessus du firmament. Et ainsi fut. Et Dieu nomma le firmament cieux.

Et il y eut soir, et il y eut matin: second jour.
9 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Vaan hmui kah tui rhoek te hmuen pakhat la tingtun uh saeh lamtah laiphuei tueng saeh,” a ti. Te dongah om tangloeng.
Puis Dieu dit: Que les eaux se rassemblent sous les cieux en un lieu unique, et que le sec apparaisse. Et ainsi fut.

Et Dieu nomma le sec terre, et nomma l'amas des eaux mer. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
11 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Diklai loh toian, baelhing, a muu aka om ham a thaih te amah hui la a thaih aka saii thing te poe sak saeh, diklai ah a tii te om saeh,” a ti. Te dongah om tangloeng coeng.
Puis Dieu dit: Que la terre fasse germer la verdure, la plante portant graine, l'arbre fruitier donnant selon son espèce un fruit qui ait en lui sa graine, au-dessus de la terre. Et ainsi fut.
12 Te dongah amah hui la a tii a muu aka om toian, baelhing khaw, amah hui vanbangla amah ah a muu a thaih aka saii thing khaw diklai loh a poe sak. Te dongah Pathen loh then tila a hmuh.
Et la terre produisit verdure, plante portant graine selon son espèce, et arbre donnant du fruit ayant en lui sa graine selon son espèce. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
13 Te vaengah hlaem neh mincang om tih a thum khohnin la om.
Et il y eut soir, et il y eut matin: troisième jour.
14 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Khothaih neh khoyin te a laklo ah phih ham neh khoning ham khaw, khohnin ham khaw, kum tue ham khaw miknoek la om sak ham vaan bangyai ah vangnah om saeh.
Puis Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait des luminaires au firmament des cieux pour séparer le jour et la nuit,
15 Vaan bangyai ah khaw, diklai hman aka tue ham khaw, vangnah om saeh,” a ti. Te dongah om tangloeng coeng.
et qu'ils servent pour signes, et époques, et jours et années, et soient pour luminaires au firmament des cieux pour luire sur la terre.
16 Te phoeiah Pathen loh vangnah a len panit te, khothaih kah khohung la vangnah a len pakhat neh khoyin kah khohung la vangnah a yit neh aisi rhoek te khaw a saii.
Et ainsi fut. Et Dieu fit les deux grands luminaires, le grand luminaire pour présider au jour et le petit luminaire pour présider à la nuit, et les étoiles.
17 Te phoeiah Pathen loh khothaih neh khoyin aka taemrhai khaw, vangnah neh a hmuep te aka phih ham khaw,
Et Dieu les plaça au firmament des cieux pour luire sur la terre
18 Diklai hman aka tue ham khaw, vaan bangyai ah amih te a khueh vaengah Pathen loh then tila a hmuh.
et présider au jour et à la nuit et pour séparer la lumière et les ténèbres. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
19 Te vaengah hlaem neh mincang om tih a li khohnin la om.
Et il y eut soir, et il y eut matin: quatrième jour.
20 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Rhulcai mulhing hinglu te tui loh luem puei saeh lamtah diklai hman boeih vaan bangyai hmai ah vaa ding saeh,” a ti.
Puis Dieu dit: Que les eaux fourmillent d'une multitude d'animaux vivants, et que les volatiles volent au-dessus de la terre au firmament des cieux.
21 Te dongah Pathen loh, tuihnam a len rhoek neh aka colh aka tat mulhing, hinglu boeih khaw, a suen. Te te amah hui la tui loh a luem sak tih phae aka khueh vaa cungkuem khaw amah hui la om. Te dongah Pathen loh then tila a hmuh.
Et Dieu créa les grands poissons de mer et tous les animaux vivants qui se meuvent, dont les eaux fourmillent, selon leurs espèces, et tous les volatiles à ailes selon leurs espèces. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
22 Amih khaw Pathen loh yoethen a paek tih, “Pungtai uh lamtah ping uh. Tuitunli kah tui dongah khaw baetawt uh. Vaa long khaw diklai ah pungtai saeh,” a ti.
Et Dieu les bénit en disant: Soyez féconds, et vous multipliez, et remplissez les eaux dans les mers et que les volatiles multiplient sur la terre.
23 Te vaengah hlaem neh mincang aka om te a nga khohnin la om.
Et il y eut soir et il y eut matin: cinquième jour.
24 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Diklai loh mulhing hinglu te amah hui la, rhamsa khaw, rhulcai khaw, diklai mulhing khaw amah hui la thoeng sak saeh,” a ti. Te dongah thoeng tangloeng.
Puis Dieu dit: Que la terre produise des animaux vivants selon leurs espèces, des bestiaux et des reptiles, et des bêtes terrestres selon leurs espèces. Et ainsi fut.
25 Te dongah Pathen loh diklai mulhing te amah hui la, rhamsa te khaw amah hui la, diklai rhulcai boeih khaw amah hui la a saii. Te te Pathen loh a then la a hmuh.
Et Dieu fit les animaux terrestres selon leurs espèces et les bestiaux selon leurs espèces et tous les reptiles du sol selon leurs espèces. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
26 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Mamih mueiloh la mamih muei neh hlang saii uh sih lamtah tuitunli kah nga soah khaw, vaan kah vaa soah khaw, rhamsa soah khaw, diklai kah a cungkuem soah khaw, diklai ah aka colh rhulcai cungkuem soah khaw, taemrhai uh saeh,” a ti.
Puis Dieu dit: Faisons l'homme à notre image, à notre ressemblance, et qu'ils dominent sur les poissons de la mer et sur les oiseaux des cieux et sur les bestiaux et sur toute la terre et sur tous les reptiles qui se meuvent sur la terre.
27 Te dongah Pathen loh, amah muei la hlang a suen. Pathen kah muei la tongpa khaw a suen tih huta khaw a suen.
Et Dieu créa l'homme à son image: à l'image de Dieu Il le créa! Il les créa mâle et femelle.
28 Te phoeiah Pathen loh amih rhoi te yoethen a paek tih Pathen loh amih rhoi taengah, “Pungtai uh lamtah ping uh. Diklai khaw khulae uh lamtah tuitunli kah nga khaw, vaan kah vaa khaw, diklai kah aka yuel mulhing boeih khaw, khoem rhoi,” a ti nah.

29 Te phoeiah Pathen loh, “Diklai hman boeih kah a tii aka om baelhing boeih neh a thaih ah a muu aka om thing neh, thing boeih khaw nangmih ham ka khueh coeng ne, nangmih ham cakok la om ni,” a ti nah.
Et Dieu dit: Voici, je vous donne toute plante portant graine, qui se trouve à la surface de toute la terre, et tout arbre ayant un fruit qui porte graine: ils vous serviront d'aliment;
30 Te phoeiah, “Diklai kah mulhing boeih khaw, vaan kah vaa boeih khaw, diklai ah aka tat tih amah dongah hingnah hinglu aka khueh boeih khaw, baelhing hingsuep boeih te cakok la om saeh,” a ti nah. Te dongah om tangloeng coeng.
et à tous les animaux de la terre, et à tous les oiseaux des cieux, et à tout ce qui se meut sur la terre ayant âme vivante, [je donne] toute la verdure des plantes pour aliment. Et ainsi fut.
31 Pathen loh a saii boeih te a sawt vaengah bahoeng then coeng ne. Te vaengah hlaem neh mincang om tih a rhuk hnin la om.
Et Dieu vit tout ce qu'il avait fait; et voici, cela était très bon. Et il y eut soir et il y eut matin: sixième jour.
