Ezekiel 23
1 BOEIPA ol te kai taengla ha pawk tih,
The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2 “Hlang capa aw, manu pakhat kah a canu huta panit om.
“Son of man, there were two women, daughters of the same mother.
3 Tedae a camoe lamloh pahoi cukhalh rhoi tih Egypt ah cukhalh rhoi. A rhangsuk te a duep rhoi tih a cuemnah sukbam te hnap a saii.
They acted as prostitutes in Egypt in the time of their youth. They acted as prostitutes there. Their breasts were squeezed and their virgin nipples were fondled there.
4 A ming ah a ham te Oholah tih a mana te Oholibah ni. Ka taengah a om rhoi hatah canu capa a sak rhoi tih a ming ah Samaria Oholah neh Jerusalem Oholibah la om.
Their names were Oholah—the older sister—and Oholibah—her younger sister. Then they became mine and bore sons and daughters. Their names mean this: Oholah means Samaria, and Oholibah means Jerusalem.
5 Oholah he kai hmanah cukhalh tih a lungnah khoyoei Assyria taengah pumben coeng.
But Oholah acted as a prostitute even when she was mine; she lusted for her lovers, for the Assyrians who were dominant,

So she gave herself as a prostitute to them, to all the best of Assyria's men, and she made herself unclean with everyone she lusted for—and with all their idols.
8 Egypt lamkah a cukhalhnah te toeng pawt tih a camoe pueng ah anih te a ih puei uh. Amih taengah ah a cuemnah sukbam te a saii tih a cukhalhnah te amah soah a hawk uh.
For she had not left her prostitute behavior behind in Egypt, when they had slept with her when she had been a young girl, when they first began to fondle her virgin breasts, when they first began to pour out their promiscuous behavior on her.

Her sister Oholibah saw this, but she lusted even more passionately and acted like a prostitute even more than her sister.
12 Assyria hlang rhoek neh pueinak aka soep ukkung hmaiben, amih boeih tongpang naidoeh, marhang dongah aka ngol marhang caem kah rhalboei te a pumben.
She lusted for the Assyrians, the governors and the dominating officials who dressed impressively, who were men riding horses. All of them were strong, handsome men.
13 Te dongah longpuei pakhat ah a boktlap la a poeih uh te ka hmuh.
I saw that she had made herself unclean. It was the same for both sisters.
14 Tedae a cukhalhnah te a koei tih hlang a hmuh te pangbueng dongah a vuel. Khalden, Khalden kah mueihlip tah pangcik neh a tarhit pah.
Then she increased her prostitution even more. She saw men carved on walls, figures of Chaldeans painted in red,
15 A cinghen ah hailaem phaivaep neh a lu kah lupong khaw cawklawih. Amih boeilu boeih kah a mueimae he a pacaboeina khohmuen kah Khalden Babylon ca phek ni.
wearing belts around their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads. All of them had the appearance of officers of chariot troops, the likeness of sons of Babylonia, whose native land is Chaldea.

As soon as her eyes saw them, she lusted for them, so she sent out messengers to them in Chaldea.

When she displayed her acts of prostitution and uncovered her nakedness, I turned away from her, just as I had turned away in disgust from her sister.

Then she increased her prostitution as she remembered the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in the land of Egypt.
20 A taengcaeh rhoek hnukah pumben. Amih saa tah laak saa tih amih yangtui tah marhang yangtui pawn ni.
So she lusted for her lovers, whose private parts were like those of donkeys, and whose reproductive emissions were like those of horses.
21 Na camoe kah khonuen rhamtat te na hue vaengah na camoe kah rhangsuk neh na sukbam Egypt ah na duep.
This is how you committed shameful acts of your youth, when the Egyptians fondled your nipples and squeezed your young breasts.
22 Te dongah Oholibah aw, ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Kai loh nang taengkah na lungnah te ka haeng coeng ne. Na hinglu lohamih te a moeng dae amih te a kaepvai lamloh nang taengla kang khuen ni.
Therefore, Oholibah, the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Behold! I will turn your lovers against you. Those from whom you turned away, I will bring them against you from every side:
23 Babylon ca rhoek neh Pekod Khalden boeih khaw, Shoa neh Koa, amih taengkah Assyria koca boeih, rhalboei naidoeh tongpang neh amih boeilu ukkung boeih khaw marhang dongah aka ngol la boeih a khue uh.
the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, strong, handsome men, governors and commanders, all of them are officers and men of reputation, all of them riding on horses.
24 Nang taengah leng neh humhae cungpoel khaw, pilnam hlangping te photlinglen neh photlingca neh lumuek neh ha pawk uh vetih na kaepvai ah a khueh uh ni. Amih mikhmuh ah laitloeknah kang khueh vetih amih kah laitloeknah neh nang lai kan tloek ni.
They will come against you with weapons, and with chariots and wagons, and with a great crowd of people. They will set large shields, small shields, and helmets against you all around. I will give them the opportunity to punish you, and they will punish you with their actions.
25 Ka thatlainah he nang taengah kam paek vetih nang te kosi neh n'saii uh ni. Na hnarhong neh na hna te han hlap uh vetih na hmailong ah cunghang loh a cungku sak ni. Na capa neh na canu a khuen uh vetih na hmailong ah hmai loh a hlawp uh ni.
For I will set my jealous anger on you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will cut off your noses and your ears, and your survivors will fall by the sword. They will take away your sons and your daughters, and your survivors will be devoured by fire.

They will strip you of your clothes and take away all of your jewelry.
27 Te vaengah nang lamkah na khonuen rhamtat neh Egypt khohmuen lamkah na thurha te ka kangkuen sak ni. Te daengah ni amih soah mik na huel pawt vetih Egypt khaw koep na poek pawt eh.
So I will remove your shameful behavior from you and your acts of prostitution from the land of Egypt. You will not lift up your eyes toward them with longing, and you will think of Egypt no longer.'
28 Te dongah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Kai loh nang te rhoek kut ah kan tloeng coeng ne. Te rhoek kut te na hmuhuet tih na hinglu loh amih te a moeng dae ta.
For the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Behold! I will give you into the hand of the ones you hate, back into the hand of the ones from whom you had turned away.
29 Hmuhuetnah neh nang te n'saii uh vetih na thaphu boeih han loh uh ni. Nang te pumtling neh yangyal la n'hnoo uh vetih na yah neh pumyoihnah, na khonuen rhamtat neh na cukhalhnah a hliphen ni.
They will deal with you hatefully; they will take all your possessions and abandon you naked and bare, and your nakedness will be uncovered just as when you engaged in promiscuity and prostitutions.
30 Namtom hnukah na cukhalh tih amih kah mueirhol neh na poeih uh dongah ni te rhoek te nang soah a saii.
These things will be done to you in your acting like a prostitute, lusting after nations by which you became unclean with their idols.
31 Na maya kah longpuei ah na pongpa dongah a boengloeng te nang kut ah kam paek ni.
You have walked in the way of your sister, so I will put her cup of punishment into your hand.'
32 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Na maya boengloeng te ki na ok vaengah nueihcil la om mungkung vetih tamdaengnah te muep eal ni.
The Lord Yahweh says this, 'You will drink your sister's cup that is deep and large. You will become a laughingstock and a subject for derision—this cup contains a great amount.
33 Rhuihahnah neh kothae, na maya Samaria kah imsuep boengloeng neh khopong boengloeng na hah bitni.
You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, the cup of horror and devastation; the cup of your sister Samaria.
34 Te te na ok tih na caep phoeiah a paikaek te na cilh vetih na rhangsuk na phuet ni. Ka Boeipa Yahovah kamah loh olphong ka thui coeng.
You will drink it and drain it empty; then you will shatter it and tear your breasts with the pieces. For I have declared it—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.'
35 Te dongah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Kai nan hnilh tih na nam la kai nan rhoe dongah namah loh namah kah khonuen rhamtat neh na cukhalhnah te khaw phuei laeh,” a ti.
Therefore, the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Because you have forgotten me and thrown me away behind your back, so also you will bear the consequences of your shameful behavior and acts of sexual immorality.'”
36 Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh kai taengah, “Hlang capa aw, Oholah neh Oholibah te lai na tloek tih amih rhoi kah tueilaehkoi te amih rhoi taengah na thui aya?
Yahweh said to me, “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? So present to them their disgusting actions,
37 Samphaih uh tih a kut ah thii kap. A mueirhol neh samphaih uh tih kai ham a sak a ca rhoek pataeng amih taengah toihthing bangla a cum uh.
since they have committed adultery, and since there is blood on their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols, and they have even caused their sons to pass through the fire, as food for their idols.
38 Kai taengah a saii rhoi he khaw te khohnin ah ka rhokso ni a. poeih rhoi tih ka Sabbath ni a. poeih rhoi.
Then they continue to do this to me: They make my sanctuary unclean, and on the same day they defile my Sabbaths.
39 Te vaengah a ca rhoek te a mueirhol ham a ngawn uh tih te khohnin ah ka rhokso te poeih ham a kun thil uh. Te dongah ka im khui ah a saii uh tangkhuet he.
For when they had slaughtered their children for their idols, then they came to my sanctuary on the same day to defile it! So behold! This is what they have done in the middle of my house.
40 Amih taengah puencawn la a tueih tih khohla bangsang lamloh aka pawk hlang ham pataeng khaw a tueih thiluh. Ha pawk uh vaengah tuihlu lamtah na mik duum ne. Te phoeiah cangen te oi ne.
You sent out for men who came from far away, to whom messengers had been sent—now behold. They indeed came, those for whom you bathed, painted your eyes, and adorned yourself with jewelry.
41 Khuehtawn thingkong dongah na ngol tih a mikhmuh ah caboei a phaih. Kai kah bo-ul neh ka situi tah amah dongah na khueh van.
There you sat on a beautiful bed and at a table arranged before it where you placed my incense and my oil.
42 A kaepvai hlangping kah thayoeituipan ol neh bitun tongpa khuikah hlang khaw, khosoek lamkah yumii, yumii khaw hang khuen. Te vaengah a kut dongkah khungpak neh a lu dongah boeimang rhuisam a khuem uh.
So the sound of a noisy crowd was around her; including all kinds of men, even Sabeans were brought in from the wilderness, and they put bracelets on their hands and beautiful crowns on their heads.

They went in to her and slept with her as men go in to be with a prostitute. In this way they slept with Oholah and Oholibah, who were immoral women.
45 Tedae amih hlang dueng loh amih te samphaih laitloeknah neh thii hawk kah laitloeknah dongah lai a tloek uh ni. Amih te samphaih uh tih a kut ah thii kap.
But righteous men will pass judgment and punish them as adulteresses, and they will punish them with the sentence for those who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.
46 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Amih te hlangping paan sak lamtah amih te ngaihuetnah neh maeh la pae.
So the Lord Yahweh says this: I will raise up a company against them and give them up to be terrorized and plundered.
47 Amih te hlangping loh lungto neh dae saeh lamtah amih te a cunghang neh hum saeh. A ca tongpa rhoek neh a ca huta rhoek te a ngawn pah vetih a im te hmai neh a hoeh uh ni.
Then that company will stone them with stones and cut them down with their swords. They will kill their sons and daughters and burn down their houses.
48 Tedae khohmuen kah na khonuen rhamtat te ka paa sak daengah ni huta boeih te thuituen uh vetih nangmih kah khonuen rhamtat bangla a saii uh pawt eh.
For I will remove shameful behavior from the land and discipline all the women so they will no longer act like prostitutes.
49 Nangmih kah khonuen rhamtat te namamih soah han tloeng vetih na mueirhol tholhnah khaw na phueih ni. Te vaengah ka Boeipa Yahovah kamah he nan ming uh bitni.
So they will set your shameful behavior against you. You will bear the guilt of your sins with your idols, and in this way you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”
