Ezekiel 22
1 BOEIPA ol te kai taengla ha pawk tih,
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 “Nang hlang capa aw, lai na tloek aya? Thii aka long khopuei te lai na tloek aya? Anih te a tueilaehkoi boeih ming sak.
Thou therefore son of man, Wilt thou judge wilt thou judge the city of bloodshed; and cause her to know all her abominations?
3 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh a thui he thui pah. Khopuei loh amah tue pai sak ham a laklung ah thii a long sak tih amah aka poeih ham mueirhol a saii.
Thou shalt say then Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, A city shedding blood in her own midst That her time might come, Therefore hath she been making manufactured gods for herself, to be defiled.
4 Na thii na hawk te na boe tih na mueirhol na saii long te m'poeih. Na khohnin ha tawn uh tih na kum te ha pawk coeng. Te dongah nang te namtom kah kokhahnah neh diklai pum kah soehsalkoi la kang khueh coeng.
Because of the blood which thou hast shed, hast thou become guilty. And with the manufactured gods which thou hast made, hast thou defiled thyself, Thus hast thou brought near thy days, And hast come unto thy years, — For this cause, have I delivered thee As a reproach to the nations, And as a derision to all the lands.
5 Nang lamkah a yoei neh a hla loh nang te n'soehsal uh vetih, rhalawt ming dongah soekloeknah bae ni.
They who are near and they who are far off from thee shall shew themselves derisive over thee, — O thou of impure name, abounding in confusion!
6 Israel khoboei rhoek aih ke, a bantha neh na khuiah thii hawk ham hlang om coeng.
Lo! the princes of Israel, every man for his own arm, have they been in thee, For the sake of shedding blood.
7 Manu napa te a vapsa tak uh tih na khuikah yinlai te hnaemtaeknah neh a saii uh. Na khui kah cadah neh nuhmai te namah khui ah na vuelvaek uh.
Father and mother, have they despised in thee, To the sojourner, have they dealt with oppression in the midst of thee, — The fatherless and the widow, have they maltreated in thee:
8 Kai kah a cim te na hnaep uh tih ka Sabbath te na poeih uh.
My holy things, hast thou despised, - And my sabbaths, hast thou profaned:
9 Thii hawk sak ham te na khuiah caemtuh hlang rhoek om uh. Na khuikah loh tlang ah a caak tih na khui ah khonuen rhamtat a saii uh.
Slanders, have arisen in thee For the sake of shedding blood, - And unto the mountains, have they eaten in thee, Lewdness, have they practised in the midst of thee:
10 Pa kah a yah te na khuiah a poelyoe tih pumom kah a rhalawt neh na khuiah phaep uh.
A father’s shame hath been uncovered in thee, Her that was unclean in her removal, have they humbled in thee;
11 Hlang he a hui yuu taengah tueilaehkoi a saii tih hlang he amah langa khaw khonuen rhamtat la a poeih. Hlang he a napa canu, amah ngannu khaw na khuiah a phaep.
And, one man, with the wife of his neighbour, hath wrought abomination, And another, hath defiled, his daughter-in-law, by shameful deed, — And another, his own sister daughter of his own father, hath humbled in thee:
12 A casai thii long sak ham na khuiah kapbaih a loh uh. A puehkan la na loh tih hnaemtaeknah neh na hui te na mueluem dongah kai he nan hnilh. He tah Ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni.
Bribes, have they accepted in thee, For the sake of shedding blood, -Interest and increase, hast thou accepted And thou hast overreached thy neighbour by oppression, And me, hast thou forgotten, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
13 Te dongah na mueluemnah la na saii tih na khui ah na thii a om te ka kut ka paeng pawn ni he.
Lo! therefore I have smitten my hand, At thine unjust gain which thou hast made— And over thy bloodshed, which they have caused in thy midst.
14 Na lungbuei om cakhaw na kut a moem uh venim? Te khohnin ah kai loh nang te kan saii ni. Kai BOEIPA loh ka thui he ka saii ni.
Can thy heart endure or can thy hands be strong in the days when I am dealing with thee? I. Yahweh have spoken and will perform.
15 Nang te namtom taengah kan taek kan yak vetih diklai ah nang kan haeh ni. Te vaengah nang kah a tihnai te nang lamloh ka boeih sak ni.
Therefore will I disperse thee among the nations, And scatter thee throughout the lands, — And will cause to cease thine impurity out of thee;
16 Nang te namtom mikhmuh ah m'poeih uh vaengah BOEIPA kamah te nan ming bitni,” a ti.
So shalt thou be profaned in thyself, before the eyes of nations, Thus shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh.
17 BOEIPA ol te kai taengla koep ha pawk ol tih,
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
18 “Hlang capa aw, Israel imkhui he a pum la kai taengah aek khuikah aek la poeh uh coeng. Rhohum neh samphae khaw, thicung neh kawnlawk khaw hmai-ulh khui ah cak aek la poeh coeng.
Son of man, The house of Israel hath become to me, dross, — They all are copper and tin and iron and lead in the midst of a furnace, The dross of silver, have they become.
19 Te dongah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a. thui. Nangmih te aek la boeih poeh sak ham ni kai loh nangmih te Jerusalem khui la kan coi tangloeng ne.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye all are become dross, Therefore, behold me! gathering you into the midst of Jerusalem:
20 Cak neh rhohum, thi neh kawnlawk neh samphae te hmai-ulh khui la hmuh tih hmai dongah tlae hamla coinah om. Ka thintoek ah kan coi tih ka kosi neh kan tloeng vaengah na tlae uh bitni.
As they gather silver and copper and iron and lead and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow upon it the fire to melt it, So, will I gather in mine anger and in mine indignation, and will let be and will melt you;
21 Nangmih te kan calui tih ka thinpom hmai neh nang kang ueng thil vaengah a khui ah na tlae bitni.
Yea I will gather you together, and blow upon you, with the fire of my wrath, — And ye shall be melted in the midst thereof:
22 Hmai-ulh khui kah cak tlae bangla a khui ah na tlae van ni. Te vaengah BOEIPA kamah loh nangmih soah ka kosi ka hawk te na ming ni,” a ti.
As silver is melted in he midst of a furnace, So, shall ye be melted in the midst thereof, — Then shall ye know that, I Yahweh, have poured out mine indignation upon you.
23 BOEIPA ol kai taengah ha pawk tih,
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
24 “Hlang capa aw, a taengah thui pah. Khohmuen nang te n'caihcil pawt pai tih kosi khohnin ah khotlan tal.
Son of man, say to her. Thou, art a land, that is not to be rained upon, nor to receive fruitful showers, in the day of indignation.
25 A khui ah a tonghma rhoek kah lairhui khaw maeh aka baeh sathueng kah a kawk bangla om. Hinglu neh khohrhang a yoop tih nuhmai kah umponah aka rheth khaw a khui ah a ping sakuh.
Because her princes in her midst are like a roaring lion rending prey, — Life, have they devoured Wealth and precious things, have they been wont to take, Her widows, have they multiplied in her midst.
26 A khosoih rhoek loh ka olkhueng a poe tih ka hmuencim a poeih uh. Cimcaihnah neh rhongingnah te paekboe uh pawh. Rhalawt khaw, a cuemcaih khaw ming sak uh pawh. Ka Sabbath te a mik a him thil uh tih amih khui ah kai m'poeih.
Her priests have done violence to my law And have profaned my holy things, Between the hallowed and the common, have they put no difference, And between the unclean and clean, have they not taught men to discern, - And from my sabbaths, have they hid their eyes, So that I have been profaned in their midst.
27 A khui kah a mangpa rhoek khaw maeh aka nget uithang bangla thii aka hawk ham neh hinglu aka ngawn ham mueluemnah dongah mueluem uh.
Her rulers within her have been like wolves, rending prey, - In shedding blood In destroying lives, For the sake of getting dishonest gain.
28 A tonghma rhoek loh amamih ham a rhorhap te a bol uh. Amamih ham a poeyoek la a hmuh uh. Hlang aka bi loh BOEIPA loh a thui pawt khaw ka Boeipa Yahovah kah a thui he laithae ni a. ti uh.
And her prophets have coated it for them with whitewash, Seeing visions of falsehood And divining for them lies, Saying, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, when Yahweh, hath not spoken.
29 Khohmuen kah pilnam te hnaemtaeknah neh a hnaemtaek uh tih huencannah neh a reth uh. Mangdaeng neh khodaeng a vuelvaek uh tih yinlai a hnaemtaek uh dongah tiktamnah om pawh.
The people of the land have exacted oppression, and seized plunder, - Even the afflicted and the needy, have they maltreated, And the sojourner have they oppressed without justice.
30 Vongtung biing tih khohmuen phae pawt ham a yueng la ka mikhmuh kah a puut ah aka pai hlang khaw amih lakli ah ka tlap dae ka hmu pawh.
Then sought I from among them, a man Who could build up a wall And stand in the breach before me in behalf of the land So that I might not destroy her, — But I found none.
31 Te dongah ka kosi he amih soah ka hawk vetih ka thinpom hmai neh amih ka khah ni. Amih kah longpuei te amamih lu dongah ka thoeng sak ni. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni,” a ti.
Therefore have I poured out upon them mine indignation, In the fire of mine outburst, have I consumed them, — Their way, upon their own head, have I placed Declareth, My Lord Yahweh.
