1 Te phoeiah dungtlungimte hlampai lingdik, daidi neh a thim neh a tah hnitang himbaiyan yung rha neh saii. Bibite moeh lamtah cherubim te saii.
“[Tell the people to] make the Sacred Tent using ten long strips of fine linen. They must take blue, purple, and red thread (OR, weave the strips from blue, purple, and red thread), and [a skilled craftsman] must embroider these strips with [designs that represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
2 Himbaiyan pakhat a yunte dong kul dong rhet saeh lamtah a daang dong li saeh. Himbaiyan boeih ham himbaiyan pakhat kah cungnueh pakhat dongah om saeh.
Each strip is to be (14 yards/twelve meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
3 Himbaiyan pangate khat neh khat cong uh saeh lamtah, himbaiyan panga bal khat neh khat cong uh saeh.
[Tell them to] sew five strips together to make one set, and sew the other five strips together to make another set.
4 Himbaiyan pakhat kah buenyang a bawt hil te a hmoi ah rhuikawl a thim la vaeh pah. A pabae rhui at dongkah himbaiyan a hmoi dongah khaw a bawt hil te tlam te saii bal.
For each set, [they must] make loops of blue [cloth] and fasten them along the outer edge of the strip, at the end of each set.
5 Himbaiyan pakhat dongah rhuikawl sawmnga saii lamtah a pabae rhui at dongkah himbaiyan hmoi ah pumpi sawmnga khaw saii pah. Rhuikawl te khat loh khat te doe saeh.
[They must] put 50 loops on the edge of the first set, and 50 loops on the edge of the second set.
6 Te phoeiah sui rhuithu sawmnga saii lamtah himbaiyan pakhatte pakhat dongla rhuithu neh phaai sak. Te dongah dungtlungimte pakhat la om saeh.
[Tell them to] make 50 gold clasps/fasteners, to fasten both of the sets together. As a result, the inside of the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
7 Dungtlungim sokah tamkui hamte maae mul himbaiyan saii. Himbaiyan te hlai khatah saii.
Also, [tell them to] make a cover for the Sacred Tent from eleven pieces of cloth made from goats’ hair.
8 Himbaiyan pakhat te a yun dong sawmthum neh a daangte dong li lo ni. Himbaiyan hlai khat hamte himbaiyan pakhat kah cungnueh pakhat dongah om saeh.
Each piece of cloth is to be (15 yards/13.5 meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
9 Himbaiyan panga te amah ah cong lamtah himbaiyan parhuk te amah ah cong bal. Te phoeiah a parhuk kah himbaiyan te dap hmai kah imdan ah rhaep pah.
[Tell them to] sew five of these pieces of cloth together to make one set, and sew the other six pieces of cloth together to make another set. [They] must fold the sixth piece [of cloth] in half to make it double over the front of the Sacred Tent.
10 Himbaiyan pakhat kah a hmoi ah buenyang a bawt hil rhuikawl sawmnga saii lamtah a pabae kah himbaiyan a hmoi ah buenyangte rhuikawl sawmnga khueh pah.
[Tell them to] make 100 loops [of blue cloth], and to fasten 50 of them to the outer edge of the one set and fasten 50 to the outer edge of the other set.
11 Te phoeiah rhohum rhuithu sawmnga saii lamtah rhuithu te rhuikawl neh ban pah. Dap te phaai uh saeh lamtah pakhat la om saeh.
[Tell them to] make fifty bronze clasps/fasteners and put them in the cloth loops to join the two sets together. As a result, the cover for the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
12 Dap kah himbaiyan lamloh a hoei saa la aka hoei himbaiyan ngancawnte dungtlungim kah imthael ah dingkoei saeh.
[Let] the extra part of the cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth], hang over the back of the Sacred Tent.
13 Te vaengah dap kah himbaiyan a yun aka hoei te he ben ah dong khat neh ke ben ah dong khat tah dungtlungim kah a vae ah a hup om saeh lamtah khat ben ah khaw khat ben ah khaw khuk saeh.
The extra half yard/meter of each cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth] on each side, must hang over the two sides of the Sacred Tent, to protect the sides.
14 Te phoeiah dap kah imphute tutal pho thimyum neh a so kah imphu la saham phote saii thil.
[Tell them to] make two more covers for the Sacred Tent. One is to be made from rams’ skins that have been (tanned/dyed red), and the top cover is to be made from goatskin leather.”
15 Dungtlungim kah a longlaeng la rhining thing aka pai te saii.
“[Tell them to] make frames from acacia wood, frames that will be set up [from which to hang the Sacred Tent covers].
16 A yun kah a longlaengte dong rha neh a daang kah a longlaeng pakhat he dong khat tintan lo saeh.
Each frame is to be (five yards/four meters) long and (27 in./66 cm.) wide.
17 A longlaeng dongkah dangkam rhoi khaw pakhatte a pakhat dongah kiba uh saeh. Dungtlungim a longlaeng boeih ham khaw te tlam te saii tangloeng.
[They] must make two projections at the bottom of each frame. These will be to fasten the frames to the bases underneath them. They must make these projections at the bottom of each frame.
18 Dungtlungim ham a longlaeng te tuithim ben la tuithim kah a ngong ham tah a longlaeng pakul saii.
Make 20 frames for the south side of the Sacred Tent.
19 A longlaeng pakul dangah cak buenhol sawmli saii pah. A longlaeng pakhat ka a lo panit ham a dangah buenhol panit om vetih a longlaeng pakhat a lo rhoi ham a dangah buenhol panit om ni.
[Tell them to] make 40 silver bases to go underneath them. Two bases will go under each frame. The projections [at the bottom] of each frame are [to be made] to fit into the bases.
20 Dungtlungim kah impalai ham khaw a pabae la tlangpuei saa ah a longlaeng pakul om saeh.
[Similarly], [tell them to] make twenty frames for the north side of the Sacred Tent.
21 A buenhol sawmli te khaw cakla om saeh. A longlaeng pakhat dangah buenhol panit, a longlaeng pakhat dang van ah khaw buenhol panit om van saeh.
[They] must make 40 silver bases for them also, with two bases to be put under each frame.
22 Dungtlungim kah a bawtnah ham te tuipuei ben ah a longlaeng parhuk caeh sak.
For the rear of the Sacred Tent, on the west side, [tell them to] make six frames.
23 Imthael ben ah dungtlungim kah a hmuidong ham a longlaeng panit khueh pah.
Also, [tell them to] make two extra frames, one for each corner of the rear of the Sacred Tent, [to provide extra support].
24 Te vaengah a dang lamloh tungbok la om saeh. Tedae a soi ah hmabuet la rhen om saeh lamtah kutcaeng pakhat khuila kun saeh. Te rhoi kah a om bangla imki rhoi dongah khaw om saeh.
The two corner frames must be joined from the bottom to the top (OR, joined at both the bottom and the top). At the top of each of the two corner frames there must be a gold ring for holding the crossbar.
25 Te dongah a longlaeng parhet neh a buenholte cak buenhol la hlai rhuk lo ni. A tlonglaeng pakhat kah dongah buenhol panit, a longlaeng pakhat van donngah khaw buenhol panit tlip om ni.
In that way, [for the rear of the Sacred Tent] there will be eight frames, and there will be 16 bases, two under each frame.
26 Dungtlungim kah impalai pakhat dongkah a longlaeng ham thohkalh la rhining thing panga khueh pah.
[Tell them to] make 15 crossbars from acacia wood.
27 Dungtlungim pabae ben impalai kah a longlaeng ham thohkalh panga, khotlak imthael ah khaw dungtlungim kaep a longlaeng ham khaw thohkalh panga lo saeh.
Five of them will be for the frames on the north side of the Sacred Tent, five will be for the south side, and five for the frames at the rear of the Sacred Tent, the west side.
28 A longlaeng laklung kah thohkalh tah a hmoi khat lamloh a hmoi hil a bangli ah rholh saeh.
Tell them to fasten the crossbars on the north, south, and west sides of the Sacred Tent to the middle of the frames. The two long ones must extend from one end of the Sacred Tent to the other, and the crossbar on the west side must extend from one side of the Sacred Tent to the other.
29 A longlaeng te khaw sui ben thil. Thohkalh rholhnah a kutcaeng te khaw sui neh saii. Te phoeiah thohkalh rhoek te sui ben thil.
[Tell them to] cover the frames with gold, and make gold rings to fasten the crossbars to the frames. The crossbars must [also] be covered with gold.
30 Tlang ah a rhimong n'tueng bangla dungtlungim te thoh pah.
Erect the Sacred Tent in the way that I have shown you [here] on [this] mountain.”
31 Hniyan khaw hlampai a thim, daidi neh a lingdik neh loeih pah. Hnitangna tah khaw bibite moeh lamtah cherubim te saii pah.
“[Tell them to] make a curtain from fine linen. A skilled craftsman must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread, making [designs to represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
32 Te te ngun buenhol pali sokah sui a ben thil rhining tung pali dongkah sui voei dongah pae.
[Tell them to] suspend/hang the curtain from four posts made from acacia wood and covered with gold. Set [each] post in a silver base.
33 Hniyan te rhuithu dangah na ban phoeiah tah hniyan khui ah olphong thingkawng te pahoi kun puei. Te vaengah hniyan loh nangmih ham te hmuencim laklo neh hmuencim kah hmuencim koek laklo te phih saeh.
[They] must suspend/hang the [top of the] curtain by hooks that are fastened to the roof of the Sacred Tent. Behind the curtain, in the [room called the] Very Holy Place, [they] must put the chest containing the [two stone slabs on which I have written my] commandments. That curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Very Holy Place.
34 A tlaeng te khaw hmuencim lakah hmuencim kah olphong thingkawng soah khueh pah.
On top of the chest in the Very Holy Place [they] must put the lid which will be the place where [blood will be sprinkled to] forgive people’s sins.
35 Hniyan kah kawtpoeng ah caboei te hol pah. Dungtlungim kaep tuithim kah caboei danah hmaitung om saeh lamtah tlangpuei ben ah caboeite khueh bal.
[In the room that is] outside of the Very Holy Place, [they] must put the table [for the sacred] bread on the north side, and put the lampstand on the south side.
36 Dap Thohka ham himbaiyan khaw hlampai a thim, daidi, a lingdik neh tak lamtah hnitangna tah khaw na kutci neh en thil.
[Tell them to] make a curtain to [cover] the entrance of the Sacred Tent. They must make it from fine linen, and a skilled weaver must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread.
37 Himbaiyan ham rhining tung pangaah saii lamtah te te sui ben thil. Te sui voei ham khaw rhohum buenhol panga hlawn pah.
To hold up this curtain, [they] must make five posts from acacia wood. [They] must cover them with gold, and fasten gold clasps/fasteners to them. Also [they] must make a bronze base for each of these posts.”
