< Olrhaepnah 32 >
1 Vaan nang loh hnatun lamtah ka thui lah eh. Ka ka dongkah ol he diklai nang loh ya lah.
Give ear, O heavens, to my voice; let the earth take note of the words of my mouth:
2 Ka rhingtuknah he khotlan bangla tlan saeh. Toian dongkah dotui neh baelhing dongkah mueitui bangla, ka olthui he buemtui bangla cip saeh.
My teaching is dropping like rain, coming down like dew on the fields; like rain on the young grass and showers on the garden plants:
3 BOEIPA ming te ka khue vetih, mamih Pathen kah boeilennah ka paan ni.
For I will give honour to the name of the Lord: let our God be named great.
4 Uepomnah Pathen kah longpuei tah boeih tiktam tih, a bisai khaw hmabuta lungpangcoeng. Te dongah amah tah dueng tiha thuem dongah, dumlai om pawh.
He is the Rock, complete is his work; for all his ways are righteousness: a God without evil who keeps faith, true and upright is he.
5 Anih te pocicoeng. BOEIPAkaha carhoek moenih. Amihte voeldak neh vawva cadil la om tih a lolhmaih la om.
They have become false, they are not his children, the mark of sin is on them; they are an evil and hard-hearted generation.
6 Pilnam ang neh cueih aka khueh mueh, he tlam a BOEIPAna thuung eh? Anihte nang napa moenih a? Anih long la nang n'laitih nang n'saii phoeiah khaw n'thoh dae.
Is this your answer to the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? Is he not your father who has given you life? He has made you and given you your place.
7 Khosuen tuete poek lamtah, thawnpuei neh cadilcahmakaha kum te khaw yakming lah. Na pate dawt lamtah ha puen bitni. Namaha ham rhoek long khaw nang taengah han thui uh bitni.
Keep in mind the days of the past, give thought to the years of generations gone by: go to your father and he will make it clear to you, to the old men and they will give you the story.
8 Khohniloh namtoma phaeng vaengah, Adam koca a hoep sak tih, Israel ca kah hlangmi bangla pilnam kah rhilunga ling.
When the Most High gave the nations their heritage, separating into groups the children of men, he had the limits of the peoples marked out, keeping in mind the number of the children of Israel.
9 A pilnam he BOEIPA kah khoyo la om tih, Jakob khaw amahkaha rho khoyo la om.
For the Lord's wealth is his people; Jacob is the land of his heritage.
10 Anihte khosoek neh rhungnah neh khopong hinghong kho aha hmuh. A mik dongkah thenhnaih banglaa kueinah dongah, a yakming tih khoep a ku.
He came to him in the waste land, in the unpeopled waste of sand: putting his arms round him and caring for him, he kept him as the light of his eye.
11 A bu dongkah a vacate atha bangla haenghang. A phaea khong tih a phuel phoeiah, a ca tea lohtih a phaemul soaha ludoeng.
As an eagle, teaching her young to make their flight, with her wings outstretched over them, takes them up on her strong feathers:
12 Anihte BOEIPA buengloh a mawt tih anih taengah kholong pathen loh a om puei moenih.
So the Lord only was his guide, no other god was with him.
13 Anihte diklai hmuensang hmuensang aha ngol sak. Khohmuen paiso khawa cah tih, thaelpang khoitui, hmailung lungpang dongkah situi neh a khut.
He put him on the high places of the earth, his food was the increase of the field; honey he gave him out of the rock and oil out of the hard rock;
14 Vaito suknaeng neh boiva kah suktui nen khaw, tuca tha nen khaw, Bashan carhoek tutal nen khaw, kikongkaha kuela pang, cang neh yucang misur thii khaw na ok.
Butter from his cows and milk from his sheep, with fat of lambs and sheep of Bashan, and goats, and the heart of the grain; and for your drink, wine from the blood of the grape.
15 Tedae Jeshurunte tha putsut tih, na tha te na saibawn atah na talaeh. Anihaka saii Pathen te a phap tih khangnah lungpang vik te a hnoo sut.
But Jeshurun became fat and would not be controlled: you have become fat, you are thick and full of food: then he was untrue to the God who made him, giving no honour to the Rock of his salvation.
16 Amahte kholongrhoek nen khaw, tueilaehkoi nen khaw a thatlai uh thil tih, amah te a veetuh.
The honour which was his they gave to strange gods; by their disgusting ways he was moved to wrath.
17 Rhaithaerhoek te Pathen pawt mai ah a nawnuh. A thai la aka phoe paek pathenrhoek te na pa rhoek loh a ming noek moenih. A rhih khaw a rhihuh moenih.
They made offerings to evil spirits which were not God, to gods who were strange to them, which had newly come up, not feared by your fathers.
18 Nangaka sa lungpang te na hmaai tih nangaka poe sak Pathen te na hnilh.
You have no thought for the Rock, your father, you have no memory of the God who gave you birth.
19 BOEIPAloh a hmuh ngawn dae, a capa neh a canukaha konoinah dongah yah a bai.
And the Lord saw with disgust the evil-doing of his sons and daughters.
20 A cadilcahmaloh calaakuh tih, a carhoekkhaw a khuiah oltakaom pawt dongah, ka maelhmai he ka thuh saeh lamtah, amih hmailong khaw ka so dae eh.
And he said, My face will be veiled from them, I will see what their end will be: for they are an uncontrolled generation, children in whom is no faith.
21 Pathen pawt nen khaw amihloh kai n'thatlai thil uh tih a honghi neh kai m'veetuh. Te dongah pilnam pawt nen khaw amihte ka thatlai thil vetih, aka ang namtom neh ka veet ni.
They have given my honour to that which is not God, moving me to wrath with their false worship: I will give their honour to those who are not a people, moving them to wrath by a foolish nation,
22 Ka thintoek te hmai la ka hlae vetih Saelkhui laedil la ung kangna saeh. Diklai neh a cangpai khaw ung saeh lamtah tlang yung khaw hlawp kangna saeh. (Sheol )
For my wrath is a flaming fire, burning to the deep parts of the underworld, burning up the earth with her increase, and firing the deep roots of the mountains. (Sheol )
23 Amih te kamah kah boethae thaltang neh ka khoengvoep sak vetih, amih te ka khah ni.
I will send a rain of troubles on them, my arrows will be showered on them.
24 Khokhaloh a thah vetih rhaekhmailoh a dom ni. Lucik khahing neh rhamsa note amih taengah ka tueih pah vetih, kosi neh laipi dongah kawl uh ni.
They will be wasted from need of food, and overcome by burning heat and bitter destruction; and the teeth of beasts I will send on them, with the poison of the worms of the dust.
25 Kawtpoeng ah cunghang loh n'cakol sak vetih, imkhui ah mueirhihloh tongpang neh oila khaw, cahni neh tongpa sampok khaw a ngawn ni.
Outside they will be cut off by the sword, and in the inner rooms by fear; death will take the young man and the virgin, the baby at the breast and the grey-haired man.
26 Amih te ka phaek saeh lamtah, hlanghing lamkah amih poekkoepnah he ka toeng mai eh ka ticoeng.
I said I would send them wandering far away, I would make all memory of them go from the minds of men:
27 Thunkha kah konoinah dongah ka bakuep sak pawt akhaw a rhal hmat uh lah ve. “Mamih kuta pomsang vetih, BOEIPAloh he he boeih saii mahpawh,” ti uh lah ve.
But for the fear that their haters, uplifted in their pride, might say, Our hand is strong, the Lord has not done all this.
28 Namtom tah a cilsuep moelh tih, a lungcuei neh om pawh.
For they are a nation without wisdom; there is no sense in them.
29 Cueihuh koinih lungming la om uh vetih, a hmailong khawa yakming uh suidae.
If only they were wise, if only this was clear to them, and they would give thought to their future!
30 Pakhatloh thawngkhat metlama hloem vetih, panitloh thawngrhaa rhaelrham sak eh. Amih kah lungpang te yoih pah pawt cakhaw, amihte BOEIPA loh khoep a khaih vancoeng.
How would it be possible for one to overcome a thousand, and two to send ten thousand in flight, if their rock had not let them go, if the Lord had not given them up?
31 Amih kah lungpang te, mamih kah lungpang banglaaom pawt dongah, n'thunkharhoek khaw rhokhan a khueh pah.
For their rock is not like our Rock, even our haters themselves being judges.
32 Amih kah misur tah, Sodom misur neh Gomorrah lohmali lamloh ha thoeng dongah, a misurthaih khaw anrhat misur khahing thaihsu la poeh.
For their vine is the vine of Sodom, from the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are the grapes of evil, and the berries are bitter:
33 A misurtui tah tuihnam sue neh minta sue bangla muen.
Their wine is the poison of dragons, the cruel poison of snakes.
34 Hekah he kamah taengah ka tung pawt tih, ka thakvoh dongah miknoek ka daeng moenih a?
Is not this among my secrets, kept safe in my store-house?
35 Amih kholoh a paloe tue vaengah, he phulohnah neh laisahnah khaw kamah hut ni. Amih kah rhainah khohninloh yoei coeng tih, amih taengah a coekcoe la tawnuh coeng.
Punishment is mine and reward, at the time of the slipping of their feet: for the day of their downfall is near, sudden will be their fate.
36 BOEIPAloh a pilnam kah lai a tloek pah vetih, a sal pum dongkaha kuta khawk dongaha khaih banlak tih, a tlo-oeng tea hmuh vaengah hal bitni.
For the Lord will be judge of his people, he will have pity for his servants; when he sees that their power is gone, there is no one, shut up or free.
37 Te dongah, “Amih kah pathen tah melae, mekah lungpang khuiah lae a ying uh,” a ti bitni.
And he will say, Where are their gods, the rock in which they put their faith?
38 Amih kah hmueih thaaka ca tih, a boeimang misurtuiaka orhoek te thoo uh saeh lamtah, nangmihaka bom neh nangmih ham hlipyingnah la om saeh.
Who took the fat of their offerings, and the wine of their drink offering? Let them now come to your help, let them be your salvation.
39 Kai kamah tah amah moek la ka om tih, kai phoeiah pathen tloe a om pawt he hmuuh lah. Kai loh ka duek sak tih ka hing sak. Ka phop tih kamah loh ka hoeih sak. Te dongah kai kut dong lamlohaka lat thai u pakhat khaw a om moenih.
See now, I myself am he; there is no other god but me: giver of death and life, wounding and making well: and no one has power to make you free from my hand.
40 Ka kut he vaan la ka phuel tih, kamah ka mulhing he kumhal ah ka thui.
For lifting up my hand to heaven I say, By my unending life,
41 Ka cunghangte khopha bangla ka tahcoeng. Ka kut dongkah laitloeknah loh pha koinih, phulohnah khaw ka rhal soah ka thuung sui tih, ka lunguet taengah ka sah sue.
If I make sharp my shining sword, and my hand is outstretched for judging, I will give punishment to those who are against me, and their right reward to my haters.
42 Ka thaltang khaw thii ka rhuihmil sak vaengah, ka cunghangloh hmalaem thii neh, thunkha tawnlo lu lamkah tamna saate hlap pah saeh.
I will make my arrows red with blood, my sword will be feasting on flesh, with the blood of the dead and the prisoners, of the long-haired heads of my haters.
43 A pilnamte namtom rhoek loh tamhoe puei saeh. A salrhoek kah thii phu te loh vaengah, phulohnah neh a rhalrhoek tea thuunh vetih, a pilnam khohmuen te a dawth pah ni.
Be glad, O you his people, over the nations; for he will take payment for the blood of his servants, and will give punishment to his haters, and take away the sin of his land, for his people.
44 Te phoeiah Moseste halo tih, hekah laa lung he a pilnam neh Nun capa Hosea kah hna kaepah boeiha thuipah.
So Moses said all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he and Hoshea, the son of Nun.
45 Mosesloh Israel pum taengah hekah olka cungkuema thui tea khah.
And after saying all this to the people,
46 Te phoeiah amih te, “Tihnin kah nangmih taengah kan rhalrhing sak bangla olka boeih he na thinkoah khuehuh. He olkhueng ol boeih he ngaithuen ham neh vai hamla na carhoek taengah khaw uenuh.
Moses said to them, Let the words which I have said to you today go deep into your hearts, and give orders to your children to do every word of this law.
47 He nangmih hama hong ol pawttih he ni na hingnah. He ol nenni khohmuen ah hinglunga vang eh. Tete pang ham pahoini Jordan te na kat uh,” a tinah.
And this is no small thing for you, but it is your life, and through this you may make your days long in the land which you are going over Jordan to take for your heritage.
48 Tekah khohnin tuung dongah Moses te BOEIPAloh a voek tih,
That same day the Lord said to Moses,
49 Jerikho imdan Moab kho kah Abarim tlang, Nebo tlang la luei lamtah kailoh Israel carhoek taengah khohut la ka paek Kanaan kho te so lah.
Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo in the land of Moab opposite Jericho; there you may see the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel for their heritage:
50 Na maya Aaronloh Hor tlang ah duek tih a pilnam taengaha khoemuh bangla nang khaw tlang lana luei tih na duek vaengah na pilnam taengla khoem uh van laeh.
And let death come to you on the mountain where you are going, and be put to rest with your people; as death came to Aaron, your brother, on Mount Hor, where he was put to rest with his people:
51 Zin khosoek, Meribah Kadesh tui taengkah Israel carhoek lakli ah kai taengla boe na koek. Israel carhoek lakli ah kai nan ciim pawh.
Because of your sin against me before the children of Israel at the waters of Meribath Kadesh in the waste land of Zin; because you did not keep my name holy among the children of Israel.
52 Te dongah khohmuen tea hla lamlohna hmuh vetih Israel carhoek taengah ka paek khohmuen lana kun mahpawh,” a tinah.
So you will see the land before you, but you will not go into the land which I am giving to the children of Israel.
