1 Tihnin kah kai loh nang kang uen a olpaek boeih he vai hamla na ngaithuen tih BOEIPA na Pathen ol te na hnatun la na hnatun atah nang te BOEIPA na Pathen loh diklai namtom rhoek boeih soah a sang la ng'khueh.
And it shall be, if thou wilt, hearken, unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I am commanding thee to-day, then will Yahweh thy God set thee on high, above all the nations of the earth;
2 He yoethennah cungkuem he nang soah ha thoeng vetih nang te n'kae bitni. Na Pathen BOEIPA ol te na hnatun mak atah.
and all these blessings shall come in upon thee, and reach thee, —because thou dost hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God: —
3 Khopuei khuiah na yoethen vetih, kohong ah na yoethen ni.
Blessed shalt, thou be in the city, —and blessed shalt thou be in the field:
4 Na bungko khuikah na thaihtae khaw, na khohmuen cangthaih khaw, na rhamsa ca khaw, na saelhung saelca khaw, suentae boiva a yoethen ni.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground and the fruit of thy cattle, —the young of thy kine, and the ewes of thy flock:
5 Na vaihang neh na vaidambael khaw a yoethen ni.
Blessed, shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough:
6 Na kun na ael vaengah na yoethen vetih koep na thoeng vaengah khaw na yoethen ni.
Blessed, shalt thou be when thou comest in, —and, blessed, shalt thou be when thou goest out:
7 Nang aka tlai thil na thunkha rhoek te BOEIPA loh a voeih vetih na mikhmuh ah yawk sut ni. Longpuei pakhat neh nang taengla ha khoong uh cakhaw na mikhmuh ah longpuei parhih la rhaelrham uh ni.
Yahweh will deliver thine enemies who rise up against thee, to be routed before thee, —one way, shall they come out against thee, and seven ways, shall they flee before thee:
8 Na khai dongkah neh na kut thuengnah boeih dongkah yoethennah te BOEIPA loh nang hamla a uen vetih BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang ham a khueh khohmuen ah yoethen m'paek ni.
Yahweh will command to be with thee the blessing, in thy storehouses and in all whereunto thou settest thy hand, —and will bless thee in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee:
9 BOEIPA na Pathen kah olpaek te na ngaithuen tih a longpuei ah na pongpa atah nang taengkah a toemngam vanbangla BOEIPA loh amah kah pilnam cim la nang n'thoh ni.
Yahweh will confirm thee unto himself for a holy people, as he sware unto thee, —because thou dost keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God, and dost walk in his ways.
10 BOEIPA ming neh nang ng'khue te diklai pilnam rhoek loh boeih a hmuh uh vaengah nang te n'rhih bitni.
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that, the name of Yahweh, hath been called upon thee, —and shall be afraid of thee.
11 Na bungko thaihtae dongah BOEIPA loh hnothen nen khaw, na rhamsa ca nen khaw, nang taengah paek hamla BOEIPA loh na pa rhoek taengah a toemngam tangtae khohmuen kah na lohmuen thaihtae nen khaw nang m'baecoih sak bitni.
And Yahweh will cause thee to abound in that which is good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle and in the fruit of thy soil, —upon the soil which Yahweh sware unto thy fathers, to give unto thee:
12 BOEIPA loh vaan kah a thakvoh then te nang ham hang ong vetih amah tue vaengah na khohmuen ah khotlan han tueih ni. Te vaengah na kut thueng boeih te yoethen m'paek ni. Namtom a yet cangpu na hlah vetih cangpu na rhong la na om mahpawh.
Yahweh will open unto thee his rich storehouse—the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless every work of thy hand, so shalt thou lend unto many nations, but thou, shalt not borrow:
13 BOEIPA na Pathen kah olpaek, tihnin ah kai loh nang kang uen he na hnatun tih vai hamla na ngaithuen atah BOEIPA loh nang te a lu la ng'khueh vetih a mai la na om mahpawh. A soii calik bueng la na om vetih a laedil ah na om mahpawh.
And Yahweh, will give thee, to be the head, and not the tail, and thou shalt be only above, and shalt not be beneath, —because thou dost hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh thy God, which I am commanding thee, to-day, to observe and to do;
14 Tihnin ah kai loh nang kang uen olka he pakhat khaw banvoei bantang la mangthung tak boeh. A taengah thothueng hamla pathen tloe hnukah na cet ve.
and dost not turn side from any of the words which I am commanding you to-day, to the right hand or to the left, —to go after other gods, to serve them,
15 BOEIPA na Pathen ol te na hnatun pawt cakhaw a olpaek neh a khosing boeih he vai ham neh ngaithuen ham tihnin ah kai nang kang uen coeng dongah tahae kah rhunkhuennah rhoek he nang soah boeih thoeng vetih nang te n'kae van bitni.
But it shall be, if thou do not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I am commanding thee to-day, then shall come in upon thee all these curses and shall reach thee: —
16 Khopuei khuiah thaephoei thil la na om vetih khohmuen ah khaw thaephoei thil la na om ni.
Cursed, shalt thou be in the city, —and cursed, shalt thou be in the field:
17 Na vaihang neh na vaidambael te thae a phoei thil coeng.
Cursed, shall be thy basket, and thy kneading-trough:
18 Nang kah bungko thaihtae neh lohmuen cangthaih khaw, saelhung saelca neh suentae boiva khaw thae a phoei thil ni.
Cursed, shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground—the young of thy kine and the ewes of thy flock:
19 Na caeh vaengah thaephoei thil la na om vetih na pawk vaengah khaw thaephoei thil la na om ni.
Cursed, shalt thou be, when thou comest in, —and, cursed, shalt thou be, when thou goest out:
20 Na kut thuengnah boeih dongah BOEIPA loh nang soah tapvoepnah, soekloeknah neh olthae kaling te han tueih ni. Te te kai nan hnoo uh vaengah na khoboe thaenah hmai ah koeloe na mitmoeng hil neh na milh hil ah na saii.
Yahweh will send upon thee cursing, confusion and rebuke, in all whereunto thou settest thy hand that thou mayest do it, —until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 BOEIPA loh nang te duektahaw neh m'ben vetih pang hamla na kun thil na khohmuen lamloh nang ng'khah ni.
Yahweh will cause to cleave unto thee—the pestilence, —until he hath consumed thee from off the soil which thou art entering to possess.
22 BOEIPA loh nang te kositloh, satloh, a phing, takling, cunghang, dung, mawn neh ng'ngawn vetih na milh van hilah nang te n'hloem ni.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with consumption and with fever, and with inflammation and with violent heat and with the sword, and with blight and with mildew, —and they shall pursue thee, until thou perish.
23 Na lu sokah vaan te rhohum la, nang hmuikah diklai ke thicung la poeh ni.
And thy heavens which are over thy head shall become bronze, —and the earth which is under thee iron.
24 Na khohmuen kah khotlan te BOEIPA loh tangdik la a khueh vetih na mit na moeng duela vaan lamkah laipi loh nang ah m'vuei ni.
Yahweh will cause the rain of thy land to be powder and dust, —out of the heavens, shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 Nang te BOEIPA loh n'tulh vetih na thunkha rhoek kah mikhmuh ah na paloe ni. Anih te longpuei pakhat neh na paan cakhaw anih mikhmuh lamkah loh longpuei parhih neh na rhaelrham vetih diklai ram tom taengah ngaihuetnah la na om ni.
Yahweh will give thee up to be routed before thine enemies, one way, shalt thou go out against them, and, seven ways, shalt thou flee before them, —and thou shalt become a terror unto all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 Na rhok khaw vaan kah vaa boeih neh diklai rhamsa kah a caak la om vetih hawt uh mahpawh.
And thy dead body shall become food for every bird of the heavens, and for the beast of the earth, —with none to fright them away.
27 BOEIPA loh nang te Egypt kah buhlut, tungueh, rhilcolh, phai, vinhna neh ng'ngawn vetih na hoeih thai mahpawh.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with the burning sores of Egypt and with the hemorrhoids, and with scab, and with itch, —of which thou canst not be healed.
28 BOEIPA loh nang te pavai neh, mikdael neh, thinko lungmitnah neh ng'ngawn ni.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with madness and with blindness, —and with terror of heart;
29 Khohmuep khuiah mikdael loh a phatuem bangla khothun lung ah khaw aka phatuem la na om vetih na longpuei te thaihtak mahpawh. Na hing tue khui boeih ah hlang kah a hnaemtaek neh a rheth ham koi bueng la na om vetih aka khang om mahpawh.
and thou shalt he groping about in noonday brightness, as the blind man gropeth in thick darkness, and thou shalt not make thy ways prosper, —but shalt be only oppressed and spoiled all the days with none to save.
30 Yuu na bae cakhaw hlang tloe loh a ih a ih puei vetih im na sa cakhaw a khuiah na om hae mahpawh. Misur na phung cakhaw na uem hae mahpawh.
A wife, shalt thou betroth, and, another man shall lie with her. A house, shalt thou build, and shalt not dwell therein, —A vineyard, shalt thou plant, and shalt not throw it open;
31 Na vaito khaw na mikhmuh ah a ngawn suidae na ca mahpawh. Na laak te na mikhmuh ah hang rhawth vetih namah taengla ha bal mahpawh. Na boiva te na thunkha taengla a paek vetih nang aka rhun te om mahpawh.
Thine ox slaughtered before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof, Thine ass stolen from before thee, and shall not be restored to thee, —Thy flock given to thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to save.
32 Na capa rhoek neh na canu rhoek te pilnam tloe taengla a paek te na mik loh a hmuh ni. Te vaengah amih te hnin takuem ngaidam cakhaw na kut loh Pathen taengla pha mahpawh.
Thy sons and thy daughters given to another people, thine eyes looking on, and failing for them all the day, thine own hand being powerless.
33 Pilnam loh na khohmuen cangthaih neh na thaphu boeih han caak te na ming. Hnin takuem hnaemtaek neh neet koi bueng la na om ni.
The fruit of thy soil, and all thy toilsome produce, shall a people whom thou knowest not, eat up, —and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed, all the days;
34 Na mikhmuh kah a hmuethma te na hmuh vaengah pavai la na coeng ni.
so that thou shalt be mad, —for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 Khuklu neh phai dongkah buhlut thae neh BOEIPA loh nang ng'ngawn vetih na kho khopha lamloh na luki duela na hoeih thai mahpawh.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with a grievous boil, upon the knees and upon the legs, of which thou canst not be healed, —from the sole of thy foot even unto the crown of thy head.
36 Namah neh namah soah na ludoeng na manghai te namah neh na pa rhoek a ming mueh namtom taengla BOEIPA loh n'thak koinih lungto thingngo pathen tloe ni tho na thueng hae eh.
Yahweh will bring thee and thy king whom thou wilt set up over thee, unto a nation which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, —and thou shalt serve there other gods of wood and of stone.
37 Tedae BOEIPA loh nang te m'vai vetih pilnam boeih taengah imsuep la, thuidoeknah la, thuinuetnah la na om ni.
Thus shalt thou become a horror, a byword, and a mockery, among all the peoples whither Yahweh thy God will drive thee.
38 Lohma ah cangtii muep na khuen cakhaw kaisih loh a hnom vetih hah na coi ni.
Much seed, shalt thou take out into the field, —and little, shalt thou gather in, for the locust shall consume it.
39 Misur na phung tih na thotat cakhaw, misurtui na o mahpawh. Phol loh a caak vetih na yoep mahpawh.
Vineyards, shalt thou plant, and dress, —but wine, shalt thou not drink, neither shalt thou gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
40 Na khorhi boeih ah nang hamla olive om cakhaw na olive te hul vetih situi khaw na hluk hae mahpawh.
Olive trees, shalt thou have in all thy bounds, —but with oil, shalt thou not anoint thyself, for thine olives, shall drop off.
41 Capa canu na cun cakhaw tamna la cet uh vetih nang taengah om uh mahpawh.
Sons and daughters, shalt thou beget, and they shall not be thine, for they shall go into captivity.
42 Na thingkung boeih neh khohmuen thaihtae te tungrhit loh a thok sak ni.
All thy trees, and the fruit of thy ground, shall the grasshopper, devour.
43 Na taengkah yinlai loh nang soah a so, so la pongpa vetih nang te a dang dang la na suntla ni.
The sojourner who is in thy midst, shall mount up above thee higher and higher, —whereas, thou, shalt come down lower and lower:
44 Nang taengah cangpu han hlah lat vetih nang loh anih cangpu na hlah thai mahpawh. Anih te a lu la om vetih nang te a mai la na om ni.
he, shall lend to thee, but, thou, shalt not lend to him, —he, shall become head, and, thou, shalt become tail.
45 A olpaek neh a khosing ngaithuen ham te nang kang uen lalah BOEIPA na Pathen ol te na ngai pawt atah he rhoek kah rhunkhuennah boeih he nang soah thoeng ni. Na mitmoeng duela nang n'hloem vetih n'tuuk ni.
Moreover, all these curses, shall come in upon thee, and pursue thee and overtake thee, until thou be destroyed, —because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he hath commanded thee;
46 Kumhal ah namah ham neh na tii na ngan ham miknoek neh kopoekrhai la om uh ni.
and they shall be upon thee, for a sign, and for a wonder, and upon thy seed, unto times age-abiding.
47 Cangpai a khawk vaengah kohoenah thinko thennah neh BOEIPA na Pathen taengah tho na thueng pawh.
Because thou servedst not Yahweh thy God, with rejoicing, and with gladness of heart, for abundance of all things,
48 Te dongah BOEIPA loh nang taengla na thunkha han tueih te khokha khui neh tuihalh khui ah, pumtling la, a cungkuem dongah kaktahnah neh na tho na tat ni. Nang te amah la na mitmoeng hil na rhawn dongah thi hnamkun han tloeng ni.
therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies, whom Yahweh will send against thee, with hunger and with thirst and with nakedness, and with want of all things, —and he, will put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he hath destroyed thee.
49 A ol na yakming pawh namtu, diklai khobawt khohla lamkah atha bangla aka ding namtu,
Yahweh will bring against thee a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, as darteth a bird of prey, —a nation whose tongue thou canst not understand;
50 maelhmai aka tlung, patong maelhmai aka dan pawt tih camoe aka rhen pawh namtu, te BOEIPA loh nang taengla hang khuen ni.
a nation of fierce countenance, —who wilt not respect an elder nor to the young, show favour;
51 Na mitmoeng duela na rhamsa ca neh na khohmuen thaihtae te han caak ni. Cangpai misur thai situi khaw nang hamla paih mahpawh. Nang kah saelhung saelca neh suentae boiva te a milh sak ni.
then shall he eat the young of thy cattle and the fruit of thy ground until thou art destroyed, who will not leave for thee corn, new wine or oil, the young of thy kine, or the ewes of thy flock, —until he hath caused thee to perish.
52 Nang kah hmuen sang vongtung neh na khohmuen tom kah na pangtung thil na vong cak loh tim hlan khuiah na vongka khui tom ah nang te n'daengdaeh vetih, BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang m'paek na khohmuen pum kah na vongka khui tom ah nang te n'daengdaeh ni.
And he shall lay siege to thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fortified walls come down wherein thou wast trusting, in all thy land, —yea he will lay siege to thee in all thy gates, in all thy land which Yahweh thy God, hath given, unto thee.
53 Te vaengah na bungko thaihtae lamkah na capa neh na canu saa te na caak ni. Te te na thunkha loh nang soah a caeknah la vongup ah n'kilh dongah ni na Pathen BOEIPA loh nang taengah m'paek.
And thou wilt eat the fruit of thy body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, whom Yahweh thy God hath given unto thee—in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee.
54 Na khuikah tongpa mongkawt hlangcong loh a manuca, a rhang kah a yuu neh a ca hlangrhuel la aka om te mat a mik ee ni.
The man that is tender among you, and exceedingly delicate, his eye will be jealous of his brother and of the wife of his bosom, and of the remnant of his sons, whom be might leave behind;
55 Na vongka pum kah vongup ah na thunkha loh nang te a caeknah la n'kilh vaengah ba pakhat khaw a coih pah mahpawh. Te dongah a ca saa te hnap a caak vetih hlang pae mahpawh.
so that he will not give to any one of them, of the flesh of his sons which he will eat, because he hath nothing at all left him, —in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within all thy gates.
56 Na khuikah mongkawt nu neh a kho khopha te diklai dongah khueh ham aka noem pawh hlangcong khaw, pang a dok neh mueltuetnah lamloh a rhang dongkah a va taengah, a capa taengah, a canu taengah a mik lolh ni.
The tender and delicate woman among you who hath never adventured the sole of her foot to set it upon the ground, through delicateness and through tenderness, her eye shall be jealous of the husband of her bosom, and of her own son, and of her own daughter;
57 Na thunkha loh nang te na vongka khuiah a caeknah la n'kilh vaengah a kho laklo lamloh aka thoeng a casak neh a cun nawn amah ca pataeng vongup khuikah yinhnuk ah thincavat la boeih a caak ni.
both as to her afterbirth that cometh forth from between her feet and as to her children which she shall bear, for she will eat them for want of all things secretly, —in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within thine own gates.
58 A ming thangpom ham neh rhih ham aka om BOEIPA na Pathen rhih ham tahae kah cabu dongah a daek olkhueng ol boeih he vai hamla na ngaithuen pawt atah,
If thou wilt not take heed to do all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll, —to revere this glorious and reverend name, Yahweh thy God,
59 BOEIPA loh na hmasoe khaw, na tiingan kah hmasoe khaw, hmasoe puei neh na muei a puel sak ni. Te vaengah tloh thae na kaem vetih na ngoi ni.
then will Yahweh make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, —plagues great and lasting, and diseases grievous and lasting;
60 Nang taengla ha tlung vaengah na rhih Egypt tloh boeih te nang soah ham phoe sak ni.
and he will bring back on thee all the sickness of Egypt, because of which thou wast afraid, —and they shall cleave unto thee;
61 Na mit na moeng duela olkhueng cabu dongkah a daek mueh tlohtat cungkuem neh hmasoe cungkuem te nang soah BOEIPA loh ham phoe sak ni.
even every disease and, every plague, which are not written in this scroll of the law, will Yahweh bring up against thee, until thou art destroyed,
62 BOEIPA na Pathen ol te na ngai pawt dongah vaan aisi bangla khawk na om uh cakhaw hlang sii la na cul ni.
And ye shall be left men few in number, whereas ye had become as the stars of the heavens for multitude, —because thou hast not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh thy God.
63 BOEIPA loh nangmih khophoengpha sak ham neh ping sak ham a ngaingaih vanbangla nangmih te milh sak ham neh mitmoeng sak ham khaw BOEIPA a ngaingaih dongah pang hamla na kun thil khohmuen lamloh m'phuk ni.
And it shall come to pass that as Yahweh rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so, will Yahweh rejoice over you, to cause you to perish and to destroy you, —and ye shall be torn away, from off the soil, whither thou art going in to possess it;
64 Diklai khobawt lamloh diklai khobawt duela pilnam tom taengah BOEIPA loh nang te n'taekyak bal vetih na pa rhoek neh namah long khaw na ming noek pawh lungto thingngo pathen tloe taengah tho na thueng ni.
and Yahweh will scatter thee among all the peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth, —and thou wilt serve there other gods whom thou hast not known—thou nor thy fathers, —of wood and of stone.
65 Namtom rhoek taengah hoep tlaih pawt vetih na khopha ham pataeng ngolbuel om mahpawh. Te vaengah BOEIPA loh nang te lungbuei lingloeng neh mik khahoeinah, hinglu yunghoepnah m'paek ni.
And among those nations, shalt thou find no ease, neither shall there be a place of rest for the sole of thy foot, —but Yahweh will give unto thee there a trembling heart, and a failing of eyes and faintness of soul.
66 Na hmailong ham khaw na hingnah loh ngaihuet ngaikaek la om vetih khoyin khothaih birhih hut la na hingnah khaw na tangnah tlaih mahpawh.
And thy life will be hung up for thee in front, —and thou wilt be in dread by night and by day, and wilt not trust in thy life.
67 Na mik neh a hmuethma na hmuh vaengah na thinko kah birhihnah neh na birhih ni. Mincang pueng ah kholaeh ka pha venim na ti vetih hlaemhmah vaengah mincang ka pha venim na ti ni.
In the morning, thou wilt say—Oh that it were evening! and in the evening, thou wilt say—Oh that it were morning! because of the dread of thy heart which thou wilt dread, and because of the sight of thine eyes which thou wilt see.
68 Nang taengah ka thui longpuei kah sangpho te hmuh hamla koep khoep boeh. BOEIPA loh nang Egypt la koep m'bal sak ve. Na thunkha rhoek taengah namah te salnu salpa la pahoi na yoi uh cakhaw n'lai uh mahpawh.
And Yahweh will take thee back again to Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt not again any more see it. And ye will offer yourselves there for sale unto thine enemies as servants and as handmaids with no one to buy.
