Olrhaepnah 23

1 A boengha dongah aka hi khaw, yang ngun khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengah kun boel saeh.

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 Halhca khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengah kun boel saeh. A khong parha due khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengah anih te kun boel saeh.

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

3 Ammoni neh Moab khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengah kun boel saeh. Amih tea khong parha due khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengaha kum a hal kun boel saeh.

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

4 Egypt lamkah na lo vaengkah longpueng ah tui neh buh neh nang n'doeuh pawt dongah ol te ana om coeng. Te vaengah nang thaephoei thil ham Aramnaharaim Pethor lamkah Beor capa Balaam tea paangcoeng.

Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Tedae Balaam ol hnatun hamte BOEIPA na Pathenloh a huem moenih. BOEIPA na Pathenloh nang n'lungnah dongah BOEIPA na Pathenloh rhunkhuennah te nang ham yoethennah laa maelh.

Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

6 Amih kah ngaimongnah neh a hnothente na hing tue khuiah kumhal duelana tlap mahpawh.

Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

7 Edom he tuei boeh, anih tah na manuca ni. A kho ah yinlai la na om coeng dae Egypt loh nang n'tuei moenih.

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he [is] thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

8 Anih kah caa sak te a khong thum due khaw BOEIPA kah hlangping taengah kun uh van saeh.

The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 Na thunkha taengah lambong la na khoong mai cakhawa thae hno boeih te tah tuem.

When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

10 Khoyin kah tamtah lamloh cuemcaih la aka om pawh hlangni na khuiaha om atah rhaehhmuen vongvoel la cet saeh lamtah lambong lakli la kun boel saeh.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

11 Tedae ana om saeh lamtah hlaema pha vaengah tui neh sil saeh. Khomika tlak vaengah rhaehhmuen khui la kun saeh.

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash [himself] with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp [again].

12 Rhaehhmuen vongvoel ah namah hama hmuen pakhat om saeh lamtah tekah vongvoel hmuen lam ni yunpham na thak eh.

Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13 Te vaengah hlingcongte namah ham na kutpom la om saeh. Poeng la na ngol van vaengah te nente too lamtahna mael vaengah na natcaeh te vuei.

And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

14 Nangaka huul ham neh na thunkharhoekkhaw na mikhmuh ahaka tloeng ham BOEIPA na Pathenloh na lambong lakli laa pongpa oeh dongah na rhaehhmuen khaw a cimcaih la om saeh lamtah yah hno he na khuiah hmu boel saeh. Nang taeng lamloh vik mangthong ve.

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 A boei taeng lamloh nang taenglaaka huuluh sal te a boei taengla koep pae boeh.

Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

16 Na khui kah hmuen pakhat la namah taengah khosa saeh. Tete na vongka pakhat aha coelhcoeng. Anih tea then la khueh lamtah amah khaw vuelvaek boeh.

He shall dwell with thee, [even] among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

17 Israel iola rhoek khui lamloh hlanghalh om boel saeh lamtah Israel cakhui lamkah long khaw hlanghalh om boel saeh.

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 Olcaeng khat khat dongah pumyoih paang neh ui phu he BOEIPA na Pathen im la khuen boeh. Te rhoite BOEIPA na Pathenkaha tueilaehkoi ni.

Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.

19 Hno cungkuem dongah a casaina bawn vaengah tangkakaha casai khaw, caakkaha casai khaw na manuca taengah tah bawn boeh.

Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

20 Kholong taengahna bawn mai cakhaw na manuca taengah tah bawn boeh. Te daengahni BOEIPA na Pathenloh pang hamla na kun thil khohmuen ah na kut thuengnah boeih dongah nangte yoethen m'paek eh.

Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

21 BOEIPA na Pathen taengah olcaeng neh na caeng coeng atahna paek hamte uelh boeh. Namah te BOEIPA na Pathen loh n'cae n'cae vetih namah soah tholhnah la om ve.

When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

22 Tedae caeng ham tena rhael atah na soah tholhnah khaw om van mahpawh.

But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 Na hmuilai lamkah aka thoengte ngaithuen lamtah na ka neh kothoh la na thuitih BOEIPA na Pathen taengahna caeng bangla saii.

That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; [even] a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

24 Na hui kah misurdum lana kun mai ni. Te vaengah misurte na hah hil na hingluloh ca mai saeh. Tedae na hnopai khuila sang boeh.

When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put [any] in thy vessel.

25 Na hui kah canghli lana caeh vaengah na kut neh cangvueina yun mai cakhaw na hui kah canghli ah vin thueng boeh.

When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.
