1 Nang taengah tonghma neh mang aka man te ha poe tih miknoek neh kopoekrhai khaw nang taengah m'paek mai ni.
And if there arise within you a prophet, or one who dreams a dream, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,
2 Tedae miknoek neh kopoekrhai te hang khuentih nang hama thui vaengah, “Na ming noek pawh pathen tloe hnukah vai uhsih lamtah amih taengah thothueng uh sih,” a ti ni.
and the sign or the wonder come to pass which he spoke to you, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you know not;
3 Tonghma te khaw, mangaka man khaw a ol hnatun pah boeh. Na minguh ham tah nangmih loh BOEIPA na Pathenaka noemcai rhung la na om uh ve. BOEIPA na Pathen te na thinko boeih na hinglu boeih neh lungnah lah.
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or the dreamer of that dream, because the Lord your God tries you, to know whether you love your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 BOEIPA na Pathen hnukte vai lamtah amah te rhih lah. A olpaek te ngaithuen lamtah a ol te hnatun lah. Amah taengah thothueng lamtah amah dongah hangdang lah.
You shall follow the Lord your God, and fear him, and you shall hear his voice, and attach yourselves to him.
5 A khuiah pongpa ham na Pathen BOEIPAloh nang n'uen longpuei lamloh nangmih heh hamla, Egypt khohmuen lamloh nangmihaka khuen, sal imkhui lamloh nangaka lat, nangmih kah Pathen BOEIPA taengah koeknahaka thui tah, tonghma khaw, mangaka man khaw, duek saeh. Te dongah boethaete na khui lamloh khoe.
And that prophet or that dreamer of a dream, shall die; for he has spoken to make you err from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, who redeemed you from bondage, to thrust you out of the way which the Lord your God commanded you to walk in: so shall you abolish the evil from among you.
6 Na nu pakhat kah a ca na manuca long khaw, na capa long khaw, na canu long khaw, na rhang dongkah na yuu long khaw, namah hinglu bangla na lungnah na hui mai long khaw yinhnuk ah nang m'vueh tih, “Cet uhsih lamtah namah neh na pa rhoek loh a ming mueha tloe pathen,
And if your brother by your father or mother, or your son, or daughter, or your wife in your bosom, or friend who is equal to your own soul, entreat you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known,
7 na kaepvai kah pilnam rhoek neh khohla khoyoei, kho bawt lamkah kho bawt patoeng loh a bawk pathen te thothueng uh sih,” a ti mai ni.
of the gods of the nations that are round about you, who are near you or at a distance from you, from one end of the earth to the other;
8 Anih taengla bung boel lamtah a ol te hnatun pah boeh. Na mik long khaw anih te rhen boel saeh. Te dongah lungma ti boel lamtah anih te dah boeh.
you shall not consent to him, neither shall you listen to him; and your eye shall not spare him, you shall feel no regret for him, neither shall you at all protect him:
9 Anih te na ngawn rhoe na ngawn ni. Na kutte anih ngawn ham lamhma kah bangla anih soah om saeh. Hmailong ah pilnam boeihkaha kut khaw om saeh.
you shall surely report concerning him, and your hands shall be upon him among the first to kill him, and the hands of all the people at the last.
10 Egypt kho neh sal imkhui lamkah nangaka khuen BOEIPA na Pathen taeng lamloh heh hamla nangaka mae te lungto neh dae lamtah duek saeh.
And they shall stone him with stones, and he shall die, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not again do according to this evil thing among you.

Evil men have gone out from you, and have caused all the inhabitants of their land to fall away, saying, Let us go and worship other gods, whom you knew not,
14 Na cae vetihna khe ni. Tuektuekna dawt tih na khui ah tueilaehkoi hnoa saii te oltaklaa om atah,
then you shall enquire and ask, and search diligently, and behold, [if] the thing is clearly true, and this abomination has taken place among you,
15 Khopuei kah khosa boeih te na ngawn rhoe na ngawn ni. Te te cunghang ha neh thup lamtah a khuikah boeih neh a rhamsa khaw cunghang ha neh thup pah.
you shall utterly destroy all the dwellers in that land with the edge of the sword; you shall solemnly curse it, and all things in it.
16 A kutbuem boeih te a toltung khui la coi pah lamtah hmai neh hoehpah. Khopuei neh a kutbuem boeih na BOEIPA Pathen ham boeih saeh. Te vaengah a khopuei te kumhal due imrhong la om saeh lamtah thoh voel boel saeh.
And all its spoils you shall gather into its public ways, and you shall burn the city with fire, and all its spoils publicly before the Lord your God; and it shall be uninhabited for ever, it shall not be built again.
17 Yaehtaboeih la aka om boeih tah na kut dongah kap boel saeh. Te daengahni BOEIPAloh thintoek thinsakhui lamkah mael vetih nang taengah haidamnaha khueh eh. Te vaengah nang n'haidam vetih na parhoek taengkaha toemngam vanbangla na ping van ni.
And there shall nothing of the cursed thing cleave to your hand, that the Lord may turn from his fierce anger, and show you mercy, and pity you, and multiply you, as he sware to your fathers;
18 BOEIPA na Pathen kah ol tena ngai atah tihninah kailoh nang kang uen olpaek boeih ngaithuen. BOEIPA na Pathen kah mikhmuh aha thuemni saii ham a om.
if you will hear the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments, all that I charge you this day, to do that which is good and pleasing before the Lord your God.
