< Olrhaepnah 11 >

1 Te dongah BOEIPA na Pathen te lungnah lamtah a kueknah khaw, a khosing neh a laitloeknah khaw, a olpaek khaw hnin takuem ah ngaithuen.
Thou shalt therefore love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, all the days.
2 Na ca rhoek loh a ming pawt te khaw tihnin ah ming laeh. BOEIPA na Pathen kah thuituennah, a boeilennah tlungluen kut neh a ban a phuel te khaw,
And ye shall know this day, that [I speak] not with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his strong hand, and his outstretched arm;
3 Egypt khui kah Egypt manghai Pharaoh neh kho tom ah a saii miknoek neh a bibi khaw,
And his signs, and his acts, which he displayed in the midst of Egypt, unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
4 Egypt caem khaw, a marhang neh a leng a saii pah te khaw, nangmih hnuk han hloem vaengah carhaek li kah tui loh a mikhmuh ah a et tih BOEIPA loh tihnin duela a milh sak he khaw,
And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto its horses, and to its chariots; over whom he caused the water of the Red Sea to flow, as they pursued after you, and whom the Lord destroyed unto this day;
5 Khosoek lamkah he hmuen na pha duela nangmih ham a saii te khaw,
And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came unto this place;
6 Reuben koca khuikah Eliab ca rhoi Dathan neh Abiram ham a saii vaengah diklai loh a ka a ang tih amah rhoi neh a imkhui, a dap neh Israel kotak boeih lamkah a kho dongah mulhing boeih a dolh te khaw amih loh hmu uh pawt tih a ming uh pai moenih.
And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the living substance that followed them, in the midst of all Israel;
7 Tedae BOEIPA kah bibi a len la a saii boeih te na mik neh naka hmu nang tah,
But it is your own eyes which have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he hath done.
8 tihnin ah kai loh nang kang uen olpaek boeih he ngaithuen.
Ye shall therefore keep all the commandment which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and take possession of the land, whither ye go over to possess it;
9 Te daengah ni BOEIPA loh na pa rhoek neh amih kah tiingan taengah paek ham a caeng tangtae khohmuen, suktui neh khoitui aka long khohmuen ah na hinglung a vang eh.
And in order that ye may live many days in the land, which the Lord hath sworn unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.
For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt, from where ye came out, where thou sowest thy seed, and waterest it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;
11 Tedae na paan phai tih na pang ham khohmuen long tah tlang neh kolbawn khohmuen la om tih vaan kah khotlan tui ni a. ok.
But the land, whither ye go over to possess it, is a land of mountains and valleys, from the rain of heaven doth it drink water.
12 Tekah khohmuen tah BOEIPA na Pathen loh a khut tih kum a tong lamloh khohmai kum duela BOEIPA na Pathen mik loh a dan taitu.
A land which the Lord thy God careth for; always are the eyes of the Lord thy God upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
And it shall come to pass, if ye will hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
That I will send rain for your land in its due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil.
15 Na rhamsa ham khaw na khohmuen kah baelhing kam paek vaengah na caak vetih na hah bal bitni.
And I will give grass in thy field for thy cattle; and thou shalt eat and be satisfied,
16 Namamih mah ngaithuen uh.
Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17 BOEIPA kah thintoek loh nang taengah ha sai vetih vaan ke hang khaih ni. Khotlan om pawt tih diklai loh a cangthaih m'pae pawt vaengah ngawn tah BOEIPA loh nang m'paek khohmuen then lamloh pahoi na milh uh ni.
[For] then the Lord's wrath will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens that there be no rain, and the land will not yield her products; and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth unto you.
Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
And ye shall teach them to your children, to speak of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 Na im kah rhungsut neh na vongka dongah khaw daek lah.
And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.
21 Te daengah ni na pa rhoek taengah paek hamla BOEIPA loh a caeng khohmuen ah khaw namah kah hinglung neh na ca rhoek kah a hinglung loh a vang vetih vaan hinglung bangla diklai ah khaw a om eh.
In order that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord swore unto your fathers to give unto them, as the days of the heavens over the earth.
22 BOEIPA na Pathen na lungnah ham neh a longpuei cungkuem dongah na pongpa tih amah taengah na hangdang ham atah kai loh kang uen olpaek he boeih na vai thai hamla na ngaithuen rhoe na ngaithuen ham om.
For if ye will diligently keep all this commandment which I command you, in order to do it, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him:
23 Te daengah ni namtom rhoek boeih te BOEIPA loh na mikhmuh lamkah a haek vetih nangmih lakah aka len tih aka tlung namtom te na huul uh eh.
Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall supplant nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
24 Na khopha loh a cawt hmuen boeih tah khosoek lamloh Lebanon duela nangmih ham om vetih, na khorhi loh tuiva lamkah Perath tuiva neh tuitun khaepdan due om ni.
Every place whereon the sole of your foot may tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and the Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the Western Sea shall be your boundary.
25 Hlang pakhat khaw nangmih hmai ah pai thai mahpawh. Nangmih taengah a thui vanbangla diklai hman boeih ah mela na pawk uh cakhaw nangmih kah birhihnah neh nangmih kah mueipuelnah ni BOEIPA na Pathen loh hang khueh eh.
There shall no man be able to stand up before you; the dread of you and the fear of you will the Lord your God lay upon all the land which ye may tread upon, as he hath spoken unto you.
26 So lah, tihnin kah yoethennah neh rhunkhuennah he nangmih mikhmuh ah kai loh kan tloeng coeng.
Behold, I lay before you this day a blessing and a curse:
27 Tihnin ah kai loh nangmih kang uen bangla BOEIPA na Pathen kah olpaek te na ngai atah yoethennah la om ni.
The blessing, if ye will hearken unto the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day;
And the curse, if ye will not hearken unto the commandments of the Lord your God, and ye turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye know not.
And it shall come to pass, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizzim, and the curse upon mount 'Ebal.
30 Te rhoi tah Gilgal imdan kolken kah Moreh thingnu kaepah kho aka sa Kanaan khohmuen, Kho tlak longpuei kah Jordan rhalvangan kah moenih a?
Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, far away in the direction of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the plain, opposite Gilgal, near the grove of Moreh.
31 BOEIPA na Pathen loh nangmih ham a khueh khohmuen te kun thil tih pang hamla Jordan aka kat nangmih long tah khohmuen te huul uh lamtah khosak thil uh ngawn.
For ye are about to pass over the Jordan to go in to take possession of the land which the Lord your God giveth you; and ye will possess it, and dwell therein.
32 Tedae tihnin ah nangmih mikhmuh kah ka tloeng oltlueh neh laitloeknah he boeih vai ham mah ngaithuen uh.
And ye shall then observe to do all the statutes and ordinances which I set before you this day.
