< 2 Timothy 1 >

1 Jesuh Khrih ah hingnah olkhueh vanbangla Pathen kah kongaih neh Jesuh Khrih kah caeltueih kai Paul loh ka ca thintlo Timothy taengah kan yaak sak.
Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, on account of the promise of life, which is by Christ Jesus;
2 A pa Pathen neh mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah lungvatnah, rhennah, ngaimongnah om saeh.
to Timothy, my beloved son: Favor, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Pathen taengah lungvatnah ka khueh. Amahte manu napa lamloh mingcimnah neh a caih la ka bawk.
I give thanks to God, (whom from my forefathers I serve with a pure conscience, ) that I have unceasing remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;
remembering your tears, I greatly desire to see you, that I may be filled with joy:
5 Na khuikah tangnah taktak te thoelhnah la ka loh. Te tah na numca Lois neh na nu Euniki khuiah ana hing lamhma coeng. Te dongah namah khuikah te ni ka pang van.
calling to remembrance also the unfeigned faith which is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that it dwells in you also.
For which cause I put you in mind to stir up the spiritual gift of God, which is in you through the imposition of my hands.
7 Pathen loh mamih ham rhalyawpnah mueihla m'pae pawt tih thaomnah, lungnah neh kuemsuemnah ni m'paek.
For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice; but of power, and of love, and of self-government.
8 Te dongah mamih Boeipa kah laipai ham amah kah thongtla la kai ka om khaw yak boeh. Tedae Pathen kah thaomnah tarhing ah olthangthen te patang puei.
Wherefore, be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but jointly suffer evil for the gospel, according to the power of God;
9 Mamih n'khang tih aka cim khuenah neh n'khue te mamih kah bibi nen pawt tih Pathen amah kah mangtaengnah neh lungvatnah rhangnen ni. Tete khosuen tue hlanah ni Jesuh Khrih ah mamih m'paek coeng. (aiōnios g166)
who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, --not on account of our works; but on account of his own purpose and favor, which was given us through Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages, (aiōnios g166)
10 Tedae mamih khangkung Khrih Jesuh kaha phoenah dongah tah phoe coeng. Dueknah tea hmil ngawn coeng, hingnah neh aka nguelte khaw olthangthen lamloha yaal coeng.
and is now manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ; who has, indeed, vanquished death, and brought life and incorruptibility to light by the gospel:
11 Te ham ni olhoe neh caeltueih neh saya la kai m'hmoel.
of which I am appointed a herald, and an Apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles:
12 He paelnaehnah dongah ka patang van coeng he. Tedae ka tangnah te ka ming tih ka yak pawh. Ka hnokhueh he te khohnin due dawndah ham a coengthailaa om te ka ngaitang coeng.
for which cause I also suffer these things. Nevertheless, I am not ashamed; for I know in whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to preserve what I have committed in trust to him, till that day.
13 Jesuh Khrih ah tangnah, lungnah neh kai lamkahna yaak aka soep olka kah a ninglam te muk lah.
The form of wholesome words, which you have heard from me, hold fast, with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
14 A then hnokhueh te mamih ah aka hing Mueihla Cim lamloh tuem ne.
The good deposit guard by the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us.
15 Asia kah rhoek loh kai boeih n'nong tak uh tena ming. Amih khuiah Phikelu neh Harmokene khaw om.
You know this, that all they who are in Asia have turned me off; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Onesiphor imah Boeipa loh rhennah han khueh saeh. Kai he n'caih sak taitu tih kai kah kuelrhui te yah puei pawh.
May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 Tedae Rom ah aka om loh kaite ngahngah n'toem tih m'hmuh.
but being in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 Tekah khohnin ah Boeipa kah rhennah dang sak ham Boeipa loh anih ham pae saeh. Rhep na ming bangla Ephisa ah khaw bahoeng n'bomcen.
May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord in that day! And how many services he rendered to me in Ephesus, you well know.
