< 2 Timothy 3 >

1 Tedae he he ming lah. Khohnin hnukkhueng ah te tah a rhai tue pai ni.
But of this be sure. In the last days grievous times will come.
2 Hlang he pahuul, naivoei, hlangoek, buhueng aka pom, aka soehsal, manu napa taengah aka lokhak, aka noihhai, aka tanghnong,
For men will be selfish, mercenary, boastful, haughty, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, irreligious,
3 kotalh, thunkha thunhling, rhaithae, aka khoeihveet, mangkhak, aka muen,
without natural affection, merciless, slanderous, dissolute, and brutal.
4 hlangyoi, marhu marhat, aka koevoei, Pathen lungnah lakah hawlthak aka coeng bet,
They will hate goodness, they will be treacherous, reckless, blinded with pride, lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God.
5 Hingcimnah lungsak a khueh dae te hingcimnah kah thaomnah aka hnawt la om uh ni. Te vaengah hekah rhoek he nong tak.
For although they keep up the outward form of religion, they deny its power.
6 Amih lakli kah aka om rhoek te im la yuel uh tih hoehhamnah cungkuem loh a payawk uh dongah tholh neh a vueinan huta thae te a sol uh.
Turn away from all such. Some of them creep into private houses and lead captive silly women who, laden with sins,
7 A cang uh vawptawp dae oltak kah mingnah te pha thai uh pawh.
and led captive by ever-changing impulses, are always learning but never able to arrive at knowledge of truth.
8 Te dongah Jenne neh Jambres loh Moses a kamkaih rhoi bangla he rhoek long kaw oltak te a kamkaih uh van. A lungbuei poci tih tangnah dongah aka lolhmaih hlang rhoek ni.
As Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these men withstand the truth; being corrupt in mind and worthless in all that concerns the faith.
9 Tedae taoe koep cungphoek mahpawh. Te rhoi kah a om van bangla amih kah a anglat khaw a cungkuem taengah phaeng phoe bitni.
But they will not get on; for their folly will be made as openly manifest to all as was that of Jannes and Jambres.
10 Tedae nang tah kai kah thuituennah, khosak rhamsak, mangtaengnah, tangnah, thinsennah, lungnah, uehnah, patangnah, hnaemtaeknah te na thuep.
But you, Timothy, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aims, my faith, patience, love, endurance,
11 Te te kai hamla Antiok ah, Ikonium ah, Lustra ah thoeng. Hnaemtaeknah te ka ueh vaengah ka cungkuem ah Boeipa loh n'hlawt.
as well as the persecutions and sufferings which befell me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. You know all the persecutions I endured, and how the Lord delivered me out of them all!
12 Te dongah Khrih Jesuh ah hingcim la hing aka ngaih boeih te tah a hnaemtaek uh ni.
Yes, and all who purpose to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
13 Tedae bothae hlang neh laithae rhoek tah hlang a rhaithi uh doeah amamih rhaithi la om tih a thae la cungpoeh uh ni.
But wicked men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving others, and being themselves deceived.
14 Nang tah na cang tih na ngaitang dongah te naeh lah. U taengkah na cang khaw ming lah.
But do you hold fast what you have learned and have held to be true. You know those from whom you have learned it,
15 A cim cabu he cahni lamloh na ming coeng te ta. Te long te Khrih Jesuh ah tangnah rhangneh khangnah dongla nang n'cuek sak thai.
and how from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 Cacim boeih he Pathen kah hil la om tih thuituennah ham, toelthamnah ham, tlaihvongnah ham, duengnah dongah hlinsainah ham hoeikhang.
Every Scripture, seeing that it is God-breathed, is also profitable for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17 Te nen ni Pathen kah hlang loh hlangsoep la a om vetih bibi then te boeih a cuum sak eh.
so that the man of God may himself be complete, and completely equipped for every good work.
