2 Samuel 22
1 A thunkha cungkuem kut lamkah oe, Saul kut lamkah BOEIPA loh aniha huul hnin vaengah, David loh BOEIPA taengah hekah laa lung he a thui.
And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
2 Te vaengah, “BOEIPA tah ka thaelpang neh ka rhalvong neh kai ham tah kai aka hlawt la om.
and he said: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3 Ka lungpang Pathen amah dongah ni ka ying, ka photling neh khangnah ki, ka imsang neh ka thuhaelnah, khangkung loh kai he kuthlahnah lamloh nan khang.
The God who is my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge; my saviour, Thou savest me from violence.
4 Thangthen ham tueng BOEIPA te ka khue dongah ka thunkha rhoek taeng lamloh ng'khang.
Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.
5 Dueknah tuiphu loh kai n'li tih, aka muen soklong loh n'sak he.
For the waves of Death compassed me. The floods of Belial assailed me.
The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of Death confronted me. (Sheol h7585)
7 Ka kho a bing vaengah BOEIPA te ka khue tih ka Pathen taengah ka pang. Te vaengah ka pang olTe a bawkim lamloh a hna neha yaak.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, yea, I called unto my God; and out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry did enter into His ears.
8 Te vaengah diklai te tuen la tuen tih hinghuen. Anih taengaha sai dongah vaan kah a yungTe tlai tih tuen.
Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations of heaven did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
9 A hnarhong lamkah hmaikhu thoeng tih, a ka lamkah hmai loh a laeh vaengah hmai-alh khaw tak.
Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
10 Te phoeiah vaana koiloep tih, a suntlak vaengah yinnah tah a kho hmuila pawk.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
11 Cherub dongah ngol bal tiha ding vaengah khohli phae sola phoe.
And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly; yea, He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 A kaepvai khohmuep neh khomong khomai dongkah tui tunTe dungtlungim la a khueh.
And He made darkness pavilions round about Him, gathering of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
13 Amah hmaikaha aa loha hmai-alh te a dom.
At the brightness before Him coals of fire flamed forth.
14 BOEIPATe vaan lamloha kawk vaengah Khohni loh a ola huel.
The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High gave forth His voice.
15 Thaltanga kah tih amih te a taekyak phoeiah, amihTe rhaek neh a khawkkhek la a khawkkhek.
And He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16 BOEIPA kah tluungnah neh a hiil dongkah a thintoek yilh loh lunglai kah yung hoep tih sokca tuipuei khaw tueng.
And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
17 A sang lamloh yueng uh tih tui dueng khui lamkah kai he n'tuuk tih n'doek.
He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters;
18 Kai ham tah tlung uh dae ka thunkha hlangtlung neh ka lunguet taeng lamkah kai n'huul.
He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19 Ka rhainah hnin ah kai m'mah uh cakhaw BOEIPA tah kai ham tukcawt longkhawn la om.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.
20 Kai khuiaha naep dongah kai he hoengpoeknah la kai n'khuen tih n'pumcum sak.
He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
21 Ka duengnah bangla BOEIPA loh kai n'thung tih, ka kut kah a cimcaihnah vanbangla kamah taengla ham mael coeng.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
22 BOEIPA kah longpuei te ka ngaithuen tih ka Pathen taeng lamloh ka poehlip van pawh.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 Amah kah laitloeknah boeih te tah a laitloeknah bangla ka hmaiah ka khueh tih a khosing lamloh ka phael pawh.
For all His ordinances were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.
24 A hmaiah cuemthuek la ka om tih ka thaesainah lamkah khaw ka cueuh.
And I was single-hearted toward Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
25 A mikhmuh kah ka duengnah, ka cimcaihnah vanbangla BOEIPA loh ka taengah han thuung coeng.
Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes.
26 Hingcim taengah uepom la na om tih, cuemthuek hlangrhalh taengah na cungkuem coeng.
With the merciful Thou dost show Thyself merciful, with the upright man Thou dost show Thyself upright,
27 Aka meet uh taengah na meet uh tih, voeldak te tah na hnueih.
With the pure Thou dost show myself pure; and with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself subtle.
28 Pilnam mangdaeng te na khang tih, na mikhmuh kah aka pomsang rhoek te na kunyun sak.
And the afflicted people Thou dost save; but Thine eyes are upon the haughty, that Thou mayest humble them.
29 BOEIPA namah tah ka hmaithoi la na om tih, ka hmaisuep khaw BOEIPA loh a tue coeng.
For Thou art my lamp, O LORD; and the LORD doth lighten my darkness.
30 Namah nen tah caem khaw ka poeng tih, ka Pathen nen tah pangbueng khaw ka poe thai.
For by Thee I run upon a troop; by my God do I scale a wall.
31 Pathen tah a longpuei khangmai tih, BOEIPA kah olthuia cimcaih dongah anih khuiah aka ying boeih ham tah photling la a om pah.
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
32 BOEIPA phoeikah PathenTe unim? Mamih kah Pathen phoeiah tah unim lungpang bal?
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a Rock, save our God?
33 Ka lunghim Pathen tah ka thadueng la om tih, amah kah longpueiTe ka longpuei ham a khangmai la khueh.
The God who is my strong fortress, and who letteth my way go forth straight;
34 Ka kho sayuk kho banglaa khueh tih, ka hmuensang ah kai m'pai sak.
Who maketh my feet like hinds', and setteth me upon my high places;
35 Ka kut he caemtloek hama cang tih ka ban loh rhohum lii khaw a phuk thai.
Who traineth my hands for war, so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
36 Namah kah daemnah photlingTe ka taengah nam paek tih, namah kah kodonah neh kai nan ping sak.
Thou hast also given me Thy shield of salvation; and Thy condescension hath made me great.
37 Ka kungdak kah ka kholaeh khaw na aeh dongah ka kho paloe pawh.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
38 Ka thunkha rhoek te ka hloem tih, ka mitmoeng sak vaengah amih ka khah hlanah ka balkhong moenih.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
39 Amih te ka khah tih ka phop daengah ni thoo uh thai pawt tih ka kho tangaha bakopuh.
And I have consumed them, and smitten them through, that they cannot arise; yea, they are fallen under my feet.
40 Caemtloek ham khaw kai he thadueng nan vah sak tih, kai aka tlai thil rhoekTe kamah hmuila na koisu.
For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
41 Te dongah ka thunkha rhoekTe kai taengaha rhawn na duen sak tih, ka lunguet khaw ka biit.
Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me; yea, them that hate me, that I might cut them off.
42 BOEIPA taengah khaw pang uh coeng dae khang voel pawt tih, amihTe doo voel pawh.
They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.
43 Te dongah amihTe diklai laipi bangla ka neet tih, long kah tangnong bangla ka tip sak phoeiah ka nulh.
Then did I beat them small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the streets, and did tread them down.
44 Ka pilnam kah tuituknah khui lamkah khaw kai nan hlawt. Namtom kah a lu la kai nan hloe dongah ming pawt pilnam loh kai taengah thotat.
Thou also hast delivered me from the contentions of my people; Thou hast kept me to be the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
45 Kholong ca rhoek loh kai taengah mai a tum uh tih, a hna neh a yaak hamla ka ol a hnatunuh.
The sons of the stranger dwindle away before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
46 Kholong ca rhoek loh tahah uh tih, a vongtung khui lamloh yingyetuh.
The sons of the stranger fade away, and come halting out of their close places.
47 BOEIPA kah hingnah dongah ka lungpang tah a yoethen pai tih, kai ham daemnah lungpang Pathen tah pomsang pai saeh.
The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God, my Rock of salvation;
48 Pathen loh kai hamla tawnlohnaha paek tih, pilnamTe kai kungdak la a suntlak sak.
Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and bringeth down peoples under me,
49 Ka thunkha rhoek taeng lamkah kai nan poh, kai aka tlai thil rhoek kah a sola kai nan pomsang bal. Hlang kah kuthlahnah lamkah kai nan huul.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies; yea, Thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
50 Te dongah BOEIPA nangTe namtom taengah kan uem vetih na ming te ka tingtoeng ni.
Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto Thy name.
51 A manghai kah khangnah imsang tah len pai. Te dongah ni sitlohnah he a koelh taengah khaw, David neh a tiingan taengah khaw kumhal duelaa saii pah,” a ti.
A tower of salvation is He to His king; and showeth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
