And it was after thus and he enquired David by Yahweh - saying ¿ will I go up in one of [the] cities of Judah and he said Yahweh to him go up and he said David where? will I go up and he said Hebron towards.
2 Te dongah David Te a yuu rhoi, Jezreel nu Ahinoam, Karmel Nabal yurho Abigal neh a caeh puei.
And he went up there David and also [the] two wives his Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman] and Abigail [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
3 Amah taengkah a hlang rhoek khaw David loh a cako neh rhip a caeh puei tih Hebron khopuei rhoek ah kho a sak uh.
And men his who [were] with him he brought up David each man and household his and they dwelt in [the] cities of Hebron.
4 Te vaengah Judah hlang rhoek te ha pawk uh tih David te Judah imkhui kah manghai la pahoi a koelh uh. Te phoeiah Jabesh Gilead hlang rhoek loh Saul a up uhTe thui ham David taengla puen uh.
And they came [the] people of Judah and they anointed there David to king over [the] house of Judah and people told to David saying [the] men of Jabesh Gilead who they buried Saul.
5 Jabesh hlang rhoek taengla David loh puencawn a hlah tih,” Sitlohnah he na boei rhoek taeng neh Saul taengah khaw na saii uh tih anih na up uh dongah BOEIPA rhang neh na yoethen uh.
And he sent David messengers to [the] people of Jabesh Gilead and he said to them [be] blessed you by Yahweh that you have done the loyalty this with lord your with Saul and you have buried him.
6 BOEIPA loh nangmih ham sitlohnah neh uepomnah han saii saeh. Hekah hno na saii uh dogah kai long khaw nangmih taengah hnothen he ka saii van bitni.
And now may he do Yahweh with you covenant loyalty and faithfulness and also I I will do with you the good this that you have done the thing this.
7 Te dongah na kut Te thahuel lamtah hlang tatthai la om laeh. Na boei Saul Te duek cakhaw Judah imkhui ah manghai la kai khaw ng'koelh ta,” a ti nah.
And now - let them be strong hands your and become sons of strength for he has died lord your Saul and also me they have anointed [the] house of Judah to king over them.
8 Tedae Saul taengkah caempuei mangpa Ner capa Abner loh Saul capa Ishbosheth a loh tih Mahanaim a paan puei.
And Abner [the] son of Ner [the] commander of [the] army which [belonged] to Saul he had taken Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and he had brought over him Mahanaim.
9 Anih Te Gilead, Ashuri, Jezreel, Ephraim, Benjamin neh Israel boeih soah a manghai sak.
And he made king him to Gilead and to the Ashurite[s] and to Jezreel and over Ephraim and over Benjamin and over Israel all of it.
10 Saul capa Ishbosheth Te kum sawmli a lo ca vaengah Israel Te a manghai thil tih kum nit manghai. Tedae Judah imkhui tah David hnukah bang uh.
[was] a son of Forty year[s] Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul when became king he over Israel and two years he reigned only [the] house of Judah they were after David.
11 A khohnin he a tarhing la om. Manghai David he Hebron kah Judah imkhui ah kum rhih neh hla rhuk om.
And it was [the] number of the days which he was David king in Hebron over [the] house of Judah seven years and six months.
12 Ner capa Abner loh Saul capa Ishbosheth kah sal rhoekTe Mahanaim lamloh Gibeon la a khuen.
And he went out Abner [the] son of Ner and [the] servants of Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul from Mahanaim Gibeon towards.
13 Zeruiah capa Joab neh David kah sal rhoek khaw hlah uh tih amih neh Gibeon tuibuem ah tun hum uh. Te vaengah pakhat rhoek Te tuibuem khat ben ah, khat ben rhoek khaw tuibuem khat ben ah ngol uh.
And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and [the] servants of David they went out and they met them at [the] pool of Gibeon together and they sat down these [men] at the pool from this and these [men] at the pool from this.
14 Abner loh Joab taengah, “Camoe rhoek he thoo uh saeh lamtah mamih mikhmuh ah nae uh saeh,” a ti nah hatah, Joab loh, “Thoo uh mai saeh,” a ti nah.
And he said Abner to Joab let them arise please the young men and let them play before us and he said Joab let them arise.
15 Te dongah Benjamin ham neh Saul capa Ishbosheth ham te hlang hlai nit, David sal lamkah hlai nit a tarhing la thoo uh tih cet uh.
And they arose and they passed by by number two [plus] ten for Benjamin and for Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and two [plus] ten from [the] servants of David.
16 Te vaengah pakhat loh a hui lu te a kop, a hui long khaw a cunghang te a vae ah a kaelh van dongah darhek cungku uh. Te dongah tekah a hmuen Gibeon ah aka om te Helkathhazzurim la a khue.
And they took hold each - on [the] head of neighbor his and sword his [was] in [the] side of neighbor his and they fell together and someone called the place that Helkath Hazzurim which [is] in Gibeon.
17 Tekah khohnin ah caemtloek khaw kalthalh la muep om coeng tih Abner neh Israel hlang rhoek tah David sal rhoek kah mikhmuh ah yawk.
And it was the battle severe up to muchness on the day that and he was defeated Abner and [the] men of Israel before [the] servants of David.
18 Te vaengah Zeruiah ca rhoek Joab, Abishai neh Asahel pathum om uh tih Asahel tah kohong kirhang bangla a kap yanghoep.
And they were there three [the] sons of Zeruiah Joab and Abishai and Asahel and Asahel [was] swift on feet his like one of the gazelles which [are] in the open country.
19 Asahel loh Abner hnuk te a hloem tih Abner hnuk lamkah banvoei, bantang la caeh ham khaw phael tlaih pawh.
And he pursued Asahel after Abner and not he turned aside to go to the right and to the left from after Abner.
20 Abner Te a hnuk la mael tih, “Asahel te nang a,” a ti nah hatah, “Kai ni ue,” a ti nah.
And he turned Abner behind him and he said ¿ you [is] this O Asahel and he said I.
21 Te dongah anih te Abner loh, “Nang te banvoei la bantang la mael lamtah camoe rhoek khuikah pakhat Te namah ham tu laeh. A pumoep te khaw namah ham lo,” a ti nah. Tedae anih hnuk lamkah a nong ham tah Asahel loh huem pawh.
And he said to him Abner turn aside for yourself to right your or to left your and seize for yourself one from the young men and take for yourself spoils his and not he was willing Asahel to turn aside from after him.
22 Abner loh koep a rhaep tih Asahel te, “Nang te kai hnuk lamloh nong, balae tih nang Te lai la kan ngawn eh? Na manuca Joab taengah ka mik metlam ka dai eh?,” a ti nah.
And he repeated again Abner to say to Asahel turn aside for yourself from after me why? will I strike you [the] ground towards and how? will I lift up face my to Joab brother your.
23 Tedae nong ham te a aal coeng dongah anih Te Abner loh a hnuk longah caai neh a bung ah a thun. Te vaengah caai a nam la pawlh tih pahoi a cungku dongah amah ah duek. Te dongah Asahel cungku tih a duek nah hmuen la aka pawk boeih tah sut pai uh.
And he refused to turn aside and he struck him Abner with [the] back end of the spear into the belly and it went out the spear from behind him and he fell there and he died (in place his *Q(K)*) and it was every [one] who came to the place where he fell there Asahel and he died and they stood still.
24 Tedae Abner hnuk aka hloem Joab neh Abishai tah khomik a tlak daengah Gibeon khosoek longpuei, Giyak imdan kah Ammah som la pawk rhoi.
And they pursued Joab and Abishai after Abner and the sun it set and they they came to [the] hill of Ammah which [is] on [the] face of Giah [the] way of [the] wilderness of Gibeon.
25 Abner hnukkah Benjamin koca rhoek khaw coi uh thae tih rhoi at la om uh. Te phoeiah amihTe som lu pakhat soah pai uh.
And they gathered together [the] descendants of Benjamin behind Abner and they became a band one and they stood on [the] top of a hill one.
26 Te vaengah Joab te Abner loh a khue tih, “Cunghang te a yoeyah la ca ne, hmailong ah hnorhih la a om ham te na ming moenih a? A manuca rhoek hnuk lamkah balkhong ham Te pilnam taengah me hil nim na thui pawt ve,” a ti nah.
And he called out Abner to Joab and he said ¿ to perpetuity will it devour [the] sword ¿ not do you know? that bitter it will be at the last and until when? not will you say to the people to turn back from after brothers their.
27 Te dongah Joab loh, “Pathen kah hingnah vanbangla, mincang duela na thui ngawn pawt koinih, pilnam loh a manuca hnuk te khik a phatawt ni,” a ti nah.
And he said Joab [by] [the] life of God if if not you had spoken for then from the morning it had abandoned pursuit the people each from after brother his.
28 Joab loh tuki a ueng vaengah pilnam loh boeih pai uh. Te daengah Israel hnuk Te hloem voel pawt tih, vathoh ham khaw khoep voel pawh.
And he gave a blast Joab on the trumpet and they stood all the people and not they pursued again after Israel and not they repeated again to wage war.
29 Abner neh a hlang rhoek tah khoyin khing Arabah longah khong uh. Jordan a poeng uh phoeiah, Bithron pum te a lan uh tih Mahanaim la pawk uh.
And Abner and men his they went in the Arabah all the night that and they passed over the Jordan and they went all Bitron and they came Mahanaim.
30 Joab loh Abner hnuk te a mael tak tih pilnam pum te a coi. Te vaengah David kah hlang sal hlai ko neh Asahel Te hma.
And Joab he returned from after Abner and he gathered all the people and they were missed of [the] servants of David nine-teen man and Asah-el.
31 Tedae David kah sal rhoek loh Benjamin neh Abner kah hlang rhoek te a ngawn uh tih hlang ya thum sawmrhuk duek.
And [the] servants of David they had struck down of Benjamin and among [the] men of Abner three hundred and sixty man they had died.
32 Asahel te a khuen uh tih Bethlehem kah a napa phuel ah a up uh. Joab neh a hlang rhoek khaw khoyin puet cet uh tih Hebron ah khothai uh.
And people lifted up Asahel and they buried him in [the] tomb of father his which [was] Beth-lehem and they went all the night Joab and men his and it became light for them at Hebron.
