< 2 Samuel 12 >

And he sent Yahweh Nathan to David and he came to him and he said to him two men they were in a city one one [was] rich and one [was] poor.
2 Hlanglen tah boiva khaw, saelhung khaw, a yet la muep a khueh.
To [the] rich [man] it belonged flock[s] and herd[s] many very.
3 Tedae khodaeng taengah tah a lai duen ca tumanu pakhat phoeiah a tloe om pawh. Te te a hing sak tih amah taengah a ca rhoek taengah rhoeng hang, a buhkam te a cah tih a boengloeng te a tul. A rhang dongah ip tih canu bangla a taengah a khueh.
And [belonged] to the poor [man] not anything that except a ewe-lamb one small which he had acquired and he nourished it and it grew up with him and with children his together from morsel his it ate and from cup his it drank and in bosom his it lay down and it was to him like a daughter.
4 Hlanglen pakhat tah tekah hlang taengah yinthing la a pawk pah. Tedae anih taengla aka thoeng yiin kok nah ham amah kah boiva neh a saelhung tah loh hamla a hnaih. Te dongah khodaeng ca kah tumanu te a loh pah tih anih taengla aka thoeng hlang ham te a ngawn pah,” a ti nah.
And he came a traveler to [the] man rich and he spared to take one of own sheep his and one of own cattle his to prepare for the traveler who had come to him and he took [the] ewe-lamb of the man poor and he prepared it for the man who had come to him.
5 Te vaengah David kah a thintoek tah tekah hlang taengah sai khungdaeng. Te dongah Nathan te, “BOEIPA kah hingnah dongah te tla aka saii hlang tah duek ca kangna saeh.
And it burned [the] anger of David on the man exceedingly and he said to Nathan [by] [the] life of Yahweh for [is] a son of death the man who did this.
6 A thinphat pawt tih hekah hno he a saii dongah tumanu te rhaepli la thuung saeh,” a ti nah.
And the ewe-lamb he will restore fourfold consequence that he did the thing this and on that not he showed pity.
7 Te vaengah Nathan loh David te, “Tekah hlang tah namah ni. Israel Pathen BOEIPA loh, 'Kai loh Israel manghai la nang kang koelh tih Saul kut lamkah khaw kai long ni nang kan huul.
And he said Nathan to David you [are] the man thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel I I anointed you to king over Israel and I I delivered you from [the] hand of Saul.
8 Na boeipa kah im te namah taengah, na boei rhoek kah a yuu rhoek khaw na rhang dongah kan tloeng coeng. Israel neh Judah imlo khaw nang taengah kam paek coeng. A yol bal atah he khaw ke khaw nang ham man kan thap ve.
And I gave! to you [the] house of master your and [the] wives of master your in bosom your and I gave! to you [the] house of Israel and Judah and if little and I will add to you like those and like those.
9 Balae tih a mikhmuh ah boethae saii ham BOEIPA ol te na sawtsit. Ka mikhmuh ah Khitti Uriah te cunghang neh na ngawn. A yuu te namah yuu la na rhawt pah phoeiah amah te Ammon koca rhoek kah cunghang neh na ngawn.
Why? have you despised - [the] word of Yahweh by doing the evil (in eyes my *Q(K)*) Uriah the Hittite you struck down with the sword and wife his you took for yourself to a wife and him you killed with [the] sword of [the] people of Ammon.
10 Kai nan hnaep tih Khitti Uriah yuu te na rhawt pah phoeiah namah yuu la na khueh. Te dongah kumhal duela na imkhui lamkah cunghang Te nong voel mahpawh.
And therefore not it will depart [the] sword from house your until perpetuity consequence for you despised me and you took [the] wife of Uriah the Hittite to become of you a wife.
11 BOEIPA loh he ni a. thui, na imkhui lamloh nang soah yoethaenah ka pai sak ni. Na yuu rhoek te na mikhmuh ah ka loh vetih na hui taengla ka paek ni. Na yuu rhoek te khothaih sale ah a ih puei ni.
Thus - he says Yahweh here I [am] about to raise up on you calamity from own house your and I will take wives your to eyes your and I will give [them] to neighbor your and he will lie with wives your to [the] eyes of the sun this.
12 Yinhnuk ah na saii dae olka te kai loh Israel tom neh khomik hmaiah kam phoe ni, ' a ti,” a ti nah.
For you you acted in secret and I I will do the thing this before all Israel and before the sun.
13 Te daengah David loh Nathan taengah, “BOEIPA taengah ka tholh coeng,” a ti nah. Nathan loh David te, “BOEIPA loh na tholh a khoe coeng tih na duek mahpawh.
And he said David to Nathan I have sinned to Yahweh. And he said Nathan to David also Yahweh he has taken away sin your not you will die.
14 Tedae te bang khoboe neh BOEIPA kah thunkha rhoek te yah na bai la na bai sak dongah nang ham camoe aka thaang Te duek rhoe duek ni,” a ti nah.
Nevertheless for indeed you have declared contemptible [the] enemies of Yahweh by the thing this also the son born to you certainly he will die.
15 Nathan loh amah im la a caeh nen tah Uriah yuu loh David ham a cun pah camoe te BOEIPA loh a vuek tih a rhawp pah.
And he went Nathan to house his and he struck Yahweh the child whom she had borne [the] wife of Uriah to David and he was sick.
16 Te dongah David loh camoe hamla Pathen te a toem. Yaehnah khaw David loh a yaeh tih a khum puei. Diklai dongah yalh tih rhaehba sut.
And he sought David God for the lad and he fasted David a fast and he went and he passed [the] night and he lay (in the sackcloth *X*) [the] ground towards.
17 A imkhui kah patong rhoek loh anih Te diklai lamloh thoh hamla a taengah pai uh. Tedae ngaih pawt tih amih taengah buh ca voel pawh.
And they stood [the] elders of house his with him to raise him from the ground and not he was willing and not he ate with them food.
18 A hnin rhih dongah camoe te duek. Tedae camoe a duek te amah taengah puen hamla David kah sal rhoek loh a rhih uh. “Camoe a hing la a om vaengah pataeng anih te m'voek uh dae mamih ol te a hnatun moenih ta. Boethae saii mai koinih camoe a duek Te anih taengah metlam n'ti eh?,” a ti uh.
And it was on the day seventh and he died the child and they were afraid [the] servants of David to tell to him - that he had died the child for they said here! when was the child alive we spoke to him and not he listened to voice our and how? will we say to him he has died the child and he will do harm.
19 Tedae a sal rhoek a sisuk uh te David loh a hmuh vaengah camoe duek tila David loh a yakming. Te vaengah David loh a sal rhoek te, “Camoe te duek coeng a?,” a ti nah hatah, “Duek coeng,” a ti na uh.
And he saw David that servants his [were] whispering to one another and he understood David that he had died the child and he said David to servants his ¿ has he died the child and they said he has died.
20 Te daengah David Te diklai lamloh thoo tih, pumrho a silh, situi a hluk, a himbai hainak te a tho. Te phoeiah BOEIPA kah im te a paan tih a bawk. Amah im la a mael phoeiah caak a hoe dongah a tawn pa uh tih a caak.
And he arose David from the ground and he bathed and he anointed himself and he changed (garments his *Q(K)*) and he went [the] house of Yahweh and he bowed down and he went to own house his and he asked and they set for him food and he ate.
21 Te vaengah a sal rhoek loh amah taengah, “Hebang khoboe he metlamnim, camoe a hing vaengah caak yaeh na saii tih na rhap. Camoe a duek vaengah nim na thoo tih buh na caak,” a ti na uh.
And they said servants his to him what? [is] the thing this which you have done for sake of the child [was] alive you fasted and you wept and just when he died the child you arose and you ate food.
22 Tedae, “Camoe a hing vaengah caak ka yaeh tih ka rhah te, 'U long a ming, BOEIPA kai he n'rhen khaw n'rhen mai vetih camoe te hing mai mako,’ ka ti dae ta.
And he said while still the child [was] alive I fasted and I wept for I said who? [is] knowing (and he will show favor to me *Q(K)*) Yahweh and he will live the child.
23 Tedae a duek coeng dongah ba ham lae kai loh ka yaeh voel eh. Anih ha mael ham te ka saii thai aya? Kamah tah anih taengla ka cet suidae anih tah kai taengla ha mael pawh,” a ti.
And now - he has died why? this [am] I fasting ¿ am I able to bring back him again I [am] going to him and he not he will return to me.
24 Te phoeiah David loh a yuu Bathsheba te a hloep tih a taengla a kun thil. Te vaengah anih te a yalh puei tih ca tongpa a sak pah. A ming a sak vaengah Solomon la a sak tih BOEIPA loh anih a lungnah.
And he comforted David Bath-sheba wife his and he went into her and he lay with her and she bore a son (and she called *Q(K)*) name his Solomon and Yahweh he loved him.
25 Te dongah tonghma Nathan kut ah ol a pat tih camoe ming te BOEIPA kah Jedidiah la a khue.
And he sent by [the] hand of Nathan the prophet and he called name his Jedidiah for sake of Yahweh.
26 Te vaengah Joab loh Ammon koca rhoek kah Rabbah te a vathoh thil tih mangpa khopuei te a rhawt pah.
And he fought Joab against Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon and he captured [the] city of royalty.
27 Te vaengah Joab loh David taengah puencawn a tueih tih, “Rabbah te ka vathoh thil tih, tui kah khopuei te khaw ka buem coeng.
And he sent Joab messengers to David and he said I have fought against Rabbah also I have captured [the] city of the waters.
28 Te dongah pilnam hlangrhuel te coi laeh. Khopuei te rhaeh thil lamtah buem laeh. Kamah loh khopuei te ka buem vetih kamah ming la ka khue ve,” a ti nah.
And therefore gather [the] rest of the people and encamp on the city and capture it lest I should take I the city and it will be called name my on it.
29 Te dongah David loh pilnam te boeih a coi tih Rabbah la cet. Te phoeiah a vathoh thil bal tih Rabbah Te buem.
And he gathered David all the people and he went Rabbah towards and he fought against it and he captured it.
30 A manghai kah rhuisam te a lu dong lamkah a dul pah vaengah sui neh lung vang Te a khiing he talent khat lo. TeTe David lu dongah a khuem tih khopuei kah kutbuem a loh khaw muep yet.
And he took [the] crown of king their from on head his and weight its [was] a talent of gold and a stone precious and it was on [the] head of David and [the] plunder of the city he brought out much very.
31 A khuikah pilnam te a khuen tih hlawh taengah, thi tlang taengah, thi yoeng taengah a khueh. Amih te taptlang dongah a tueih. Te tlamTe Ammon koca rhoek kah khopuei tom te a saii daengah David neh pilnam pum loh Jerusalem la mael pueng.
And the people which [was] in it he brought out and he set [them] at the saws and at [the] picks of iron and at [the] axes of iron and he caused to pass them (in the brick mold[s] *Q(K)*) and thus he did to all [the] cities of [the] people of Ammon and he returned David and all the people Jerusalem.
