< 2 Peter 2 >

1 Tedae pilnam khuiah laithae tonghmarhoek khaw om uh. Te vanbangla nangmih khuiah khaw laithae saya om ni. Anih tah pocinah buhlaelh neh ha hawn ni. Amih aka lai boeikung pataeng tea hnoel uh tih pocinahte amamih soahpawka cuhu sak uh.
But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Te phoeiah amih kah omthenbawnnah te muepa vai uh ni. Amih kongah oltak longpuei tea soehsal uh ni.
And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 Halhkanah neh olkaa pueh uh vetih nangmih khaw n'yoih uh ni. Amih ham a rhuem kah laitloeknah loh uelh pawt vetih amih kah pocinah te ngam mahpawh.
And in covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose sentence now from of old lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.
4 Pathen loh puencawn rhoek a tholh uh atah hlun pawh. Te dongah hell tlak nah thirhui neh a hmuepnahlaa voeihtih laitloeknah hama khoh. (Tartaroō g5020)
For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 Diklai rhuemte khaw a hlun moenih. Tedae baltalh kah Diklaite tuilii loha khuk vaengah duengnah olhoe Noah neh parhet ni a paih.
and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 Sodom neh Gomorrah khote pocinah neh a boe sak, a unghloite baltalh la aka om rhoek ham moeiboelaa khueh coeng.
and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, having made them an example unto those that should live ungodly;
7 Te vaengah omthenbawnnah omih dongah aka cungpoeh halang rhoek lamloha vueinan hlang dueng Lot te a hlawt.
and delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked
8 Hlang dueng loh amih taengah hmuhnah hnavue neh kho a sak. Tedae hlang dueng kah a hinglute lailak rhoek kah khoboeloh a hnin, a hnina ngawn pah.
(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] lawless deeds):
9 Aka cuepte noemcainah lamkaha hlawt ham neh halang rhoek te a khoh vetih laitloeknah khohnin ah a cawh ham khaw Boeipaloh a ming.
the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment;
10 Olpueilaa tihnai kah hoehhamnah dongah pumsa hnukah pongpa uh tih taemrhainah te ana hnaep uh. Sayalh la aka cungpoeh rhoek loh thangpomnahte soehsal ham birhih uh pawh.
but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, selfwilled, they tremble not to rail at dignities:
11 Puencawn rhoek loh thadueng neh thaomnah muep om mai tih boeipa hmaiah amih ham aka soehsal la laitloeknaha khuen moenih.
whereas angels, though greater in might and power, bring not a railing judgment against them before the Lord.
But these, as creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed, railing in matters whereof they are ignorant, shall in their destroying surely be destroyed,
13 Boethae kah thapang la patang uh. Pumdomnah khohnin vaengkah te omthenbawnnahlaa poek uh. A tihnai neh cawtkoi la aka malawk rhoek tah amih kah hmilhmaknah khuiah na cahnoo uh.
suffering wrong as the hire of wrong-doing; [men] that count it pleasure to revel in the day-time, spots and blemishes, revelling in their love-feasts while they feast with you;
14 Samphaih ham mik duiha huel uh tih tholhnah khaw nawtnawt om. Yutho hinglu rhoek te a yoek uh. Thinkote halhkanahlaa hlinsaitih ca rhoek tah rhunkhuennah la poeh.
having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; enticing unstedfast souls; having a heart exercised in covetousness; children of cursing;
15 Long dueng te a hnoo uh tih rhaithi uh thae. Bosor Balaam kah longpuei tea vai uh.
forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the [son] of Beor, who loved the hire of wrong-doing;
16 Anih long te boethae kah thapanga lungnah dongah a toel dae a khingkhaknahlaa khueh. Laak olmueh loh hlang ol la caltih tonghma kah angsainah tea paa sak.
but he was rebuked for his own transgression: a dumb ass spake with man’s voice and stayed the madness of the prophet.
17 Te rhoek tah tuihang tuisih neh hlipuei loha yawn khomai ni. Amih ham yinnah khuikaha hmuepnah tea khoem pah coeng. (questioned)
These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved.
18 A honghi te a puehkan la aka thui loh tholhhiknah khuiah khosak lamkah aka loeih paek rhoek te pumsa kah hoehhamnah, omthenbawn neha yoek uh.
For, uttering great swelling [words] of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error;
19 Amih ham poenghalnah te a caeng pah dae amamih tah hmawnnah kah sal la om uh. Pakhatloh a khulae coeng te tah anih te sal a bi sak.
promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he also brought into bondage.
20 Te dongah mamih kah Boeipa neh Khangkung Jesuh Khrih kah mingnah rhangneh Diklai boinah lamkah loeih coeng. Tedae te nen te koep tingtong tih a khulae atah amih ham hnukkhueng te lamhma lakah a thae ngai la om.
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first.
21 Duengnah longpuei tea ming uh tih amih taengah olpaek cima paek lamkaha bal uh lakah ming muehlaa omte amih ham then ngai.
For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 Amih taengah thuidoeknaha thoeng he tah thuem pai. Ui tah a lok dongla mael tih ok khaw tiknong dongah a bolnah ham tui a hluk.
It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.
