For concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.

For I know your readiness of mind, of which I boast in behalf of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was prepared a year ago; and your zeal stirred up the greater part of them.

lest, should the Macedonians come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say ye) should be put to shame in respect to this confidence.

5 Te dongah manuca rhoek te hloep ham ka poek tangkik. Nangmih taengla ha lamhma uh vetih nangmih kah yoethennah olkhueh te a soepsoei uh mako. Te te halhkanah lam pawt tih yoethennah te sikim la om tangloeng saeh.

I thought it necessary therefore to exhort the brethren to go before to you, and make up beforehand your bounty, which was already announced, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not of covetousness.

6 Te dongah seih seih aka tuh loh seih seih a ah van vetih, yoethennah dongah aka tuh loh yoethennah te a ah van ni.

But this there is to say: He that soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.

7 Hlang boeih loh a thinko ah a hmoel bangla pae saeh. Kothaenah neh kueknah lam moenih. Omngaih cangtloeng la aka pae-hlang ni Pathen loh a lungnah.

Each one, as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.

8 Pathen loh nangmih ham lungvatnah cungkuem tea baecoih sak thai. Te daengah ni rhoepsaep dongah rhaemhalnah aka khueh boeih loh bibi then neha cungkuem la na baetawt uh eh.

And God is able to make every blessing abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work;

9 A daek bangla, a thaek te daengtloel taengla a paek tih a duengnah loh kumhal duela naeh van. (aiōn g165)

as it is written: “He dispersed abroad, he gave to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.” (aiōn g165)

10 Aka tuh ham cangtii aka thap pah loh caak ham buh khaw a koei pah ni. Te vaengah nangmih kah cangtii te ping vetih na duengnah thaihtae khaw rhoeng ni.

Now, he that ministereth seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;

11 Moeihoeihnah cungkuem ham tah rhoepsaep dongah boei coeng. Te long te mamih ah Pathen taengkah uemonah a thoeng sak.

while ye are enriched in everything to all liberality, which worketh out through us thanksgiving to God;

12 A thothueng dongkah bitat tah hlangcim rhoek kah vawtthoeknah te aka doo pah bueng laa om moenih. Tedae Pathen taengkah uemonah lamloh muep a baetawt sak van.

for the ministration of this service not only supplieth the wants of the saints, but also overfloweth through many thanksgivings to God;

13 Tahae kah bitat dongkah khinngainah lamloh Khrih olthangthen dongah na olphoei dongkah boengainah neh, amih ham neh hlang boeih ham moeihoeihnah neh doedannah soah Pathen te a thangpom coeng.

while by the proof afforded by this ministration they glorify God for your obedience to your profession in regard to the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution in regard to them and in regard to all;

14 Nangmih soah Pathen kah lungvatnah a baetawt dongah nangmih yueng la amamih kah rhenbihnah dongah nangmih n'thoel uh.

while with supplication for you they long after you on account of the exceeding grace of God to you.

15 A kutdoe thuilek thuina pawt dongah Pathen te lungvatnah saeh.
