< 2 Kawrin 10 >
1 Kai Paul kamah loh Khrih kah muelhtuetnah neh kodonah dongah nangmih kan hloep coeng. Amah nangmih taengah maelhmai aka tlayae loh mikvoelh ah khaw nangmih taengla ka sayalh coeng.
But I myself, Paul, entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of the Christ, who, as to appearance, [when present] [am] mean among you, but absent am bold towards you;
2 Pangtungnah neh sayalh om pawt ham kan hloep. Pumsa saloel ah aka pongpa bangla mamih aka poek te ni hlangvang taengah khaw ngaingaih puei ham ka poek.
but I beseech that present I may not be bold with the confidence with which I think to be daring towards some who think of us as walking according to flesh.
3 Pumsa neh m'pongpa uh dae pumsa bangla m'vathoh uh moenih.
For walking in flesh, we do not war according to flesh.
4 Te dongah mamih caemrhal kah pumcumnah tah pumsa moenih. Tedae Pathen taengah tah poeknah hmuencakte koengloengnah donglaa hlak khaw yoeikoek mai.
For the arms of our warfare [are] not fleshly, but powerful according to God to [the] overthrow of strongholds;
5 Pathen kah mingnah aka tlai thil hmuen sang boeih, poeknah cungkuem khaw Khrih kah olngainah khuilaa sol coeng.
overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience of the Christ;
6 Nangmih kah olngainah loha soep vaengah althanah boeihte thuung ham sikim la om coeng.
and having in readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience shall have been fulfilled.
7 A maelhmai tena hmuh uh vanbangla, Khat khat loh amahte Khrih kah hlang la om hama ngaitang atah amah te koep nawt uh saeh. Anih bangla mamih khaw Khrih kah la n'om uh van.
Do ye look at what concerns appearance? If any one has confidence in himself that he is of Christ, let him think this again in himself, that even as he [is] of Christ, so also [are] we.
8 Mamih kah saithainah te pakhat khaw vel ka pomsang atah nangmih kah hlinsainah ham ni Boeipa loh m'paek, koengloengnah ham moenih. Te nen te yah ka pok mahpawh.
For and if I should boast even somewhat more abundantly of our authority, which the Lord has given [to us] for building up and not for your overthrowing, I shall not be put to shame;
9 Te dongah capat neh nangmih aka hihham bangla ka poek boel eh.
that I may not seem as if I was frightening you by letters:
10 Capat long tah a rhih kahlak la rhaprhapa thui. Tedae pumsa kaha lonah tah tattloel la om tiha olka taha hnaelcoe pah.
because his letters, he says, [are] weighty and strong, but his presence in the body weak, and his speech naught.
11 He he amah loh poek saeh. Lakhla vaengah capat dongkah olka neh ng'om uh vanbangla a om uh vaengkah khoboe te khaw.
Let such a one think this, that such as we are in word by letters [when] absent, such also present in deed.
12 Amah aka oep uh rhoekte hlangvang khaw mamih taengah nuen sak ham neh thuidoek ham ka ngaingaih uh pawh. Tedae amih loh amah neh amah te noek uh thae tih amah neh amah tea thuidoek uh thae te hmuhming uh pawh.
For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves; but these, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are not intelligent.
13 Mamih tah voei m'pomsang uh ham moenih. Tedae hmakhuen kaha tarhing te Pathen loha cungnueh neh kaimih taengaha tael vanbangla nangmih taengla n'laikai coeng.
Now we will not boast out of measure, but according to the measure of the rule which the God of measure has apportioned to us, to reach to you also.
14 Nangmih taengah ka laikai uh pawt vanbangla kamamih ka hnawn uh thae moenih. Nangmih taeng duela Khrih kah olthangthen nen ni ka pai uh.
For we do not, as not reaching to you, overstretch ourselves, (for we have come to you also in the glad tidings of the Christ; )
15 Hlanglang rhoek kah thakthaenah dongah voei pomsang uh boeh. Tedae ngaiuepnah khueh uh, nangmih kah tangnah te rhoeng coeng. Baecoihnah dongkah ka hmakhuen bangla nangmih taengla hang aeh coeng.
not boasting out of measure in other people's labours, but having hope, your faith increasing, to be enlarged amongst you, according to our rule, yet more abundantly
16 Nangmih kaha voel la olthangthen phong ham khaw hlanglang kah hmakhuen dongaha sikim la pomsang ham om pawh.
to announce the glad tidings to that [which is] beyond you, not to be boasting in another's rule of things made ready to hand.
17 Te dongah aka pomsang long tah Boeipa dongah pomsang saeh.
But he that boasts, let him boast in the Lord.
18 Amah aka oep uh pawt ni ueppang laa om. Tedae anihte Boeipa loha oep.
For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
