1 Josiah loh Jerusalem ah BOEIPA kah Yoom te a saii tih hla khat hnin hlai li vaengah Yoom te a ngawn uh.
Moreover, Josiah kept a passover to the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth [day] of the first month.
2 Khosoih rhoek khaw amamih kah hutnah dongah a khueh tih BOEIPA im kah thothuengnah dongah amih te a duel.
And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,
3 BOEIPA ham aka cim Israel pum taengah aka yakming tih aka sim Levi rhoek taengah, “Thingkawng cim te Israel manghai David capa Solomon loh a sak im khuiah khueh uh. Laengpang dongkah hnophueih te nangmih ham moenih. Nangmih kah Pathen BOEIPA neh a pilnam Israel taengah thotat uh laeh.
And said to the Levites that taught all Israel, who were holy to the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built; [it shall] not [be] a burden upon [your] shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,
4 Israel manghai David kah ca neh a capa Solomon ca bangla na pa rhoek imkhui ah namamih kah boelnah neh soepsoei uh lamtah sikim uh laeh.
And prepare [yourselves] by the houses of your fathers after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
5 Pilnam paca rhoek te na manuca kah a napa imkhui te khaw, Levi imkhui paca phung khaw aitlaeng la hmuencim ah pai uh saeh.
And stand in the holy [place] according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and [after] the division of the families of the Levites.
6 Yoom te ngawn uh lamtah ciim uh laeh. Na manuca ham khaw Moses kut dongkah BOEIPA ol bangla vai sak ham sikim uh laeh,” a ti nah.
So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that [they] may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
7 Josiah loh pilnam paca ham boiva la tu neh maae ca boeih a tawn tih Yoom kah aka mop boeih ham a pum la thawng sawmthum neh saelhung thawng thum lo. He rhoek he manghai kah khuehtawn lamkah ni.
And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover-offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these [were] of the king's substance.
8 A mangpa rhoek long khaw pilnam ham, khosoih rhoek ham neh Levi rhoek ham kothoh neh a tloeng uh. Pathen im kah rhaengsang Hilkiah, Zekhariah neh Jehiel long khaw Yoom hamla thawng hnih ya rhuk neh saelhung ya thum te khosoih rhoek taengla a paek uh.
And his princes gave willingly to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave to the priests for the passover-offerings two thousand and six hundred [small cattle], and three hundred oxen.
9 Kohnaniah neh Kohnaniah phoeikah a mana rhoi Shemaiah neh Nethanel long khaw, Hashabiah neh Jeiel long khaw, Levi mangpa Jozabad long khaw Levi ham Yoom thawng nga neh saelhung ya nga a tloeng uh.
Conaniah also, and Shemaiah, and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jehiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave to the Levites for passover-offerings five thousand [small cattle], and five hundred oxen.
10 Thothuengnah a sikim phoeiah tah khosoih rhoek khaw amah paihmuen ah, Levi rhoek khaw manghai olpaek bangla amamih kah boelnah neh pai uh.
So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment.
11 Yoom te a ngawn uh tih khosoih rhoek loh a kut neh a haeh uh phoeiah tah Levi rhoek loh a hlaih uh.
And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled [the blood] from their hands, and the Levites flayed [them].
12 Moses cabu khuikah a daek bangla pilnam paca kah a napa imkhui pacaphung taengah a paek ham khaw, BOEIPA taengah a nawn ham khaw hmueihhlutnah te a rhoe uh. Saelhung khaw te tlam te a saii.
And they removed the burnt-offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer to the LORD, as [it is] written in the book of Moses. And so [did they] with the oxen.
13 Khosing bangla Yoom te hmai neh a hmin sakuh. Buhcim te am dongah a thong uh tih voh dongah khaw, bael dongah khaw, pilnam paca boeih taengla a yong puei uh.
And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the [other] holy [offerings] they boiled in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided [them] speedily among all the people.
14 A hnukah tah amamih ham neh khosoih rhoek ham khaw a soepsoei uh. Aaron koca khosoih rhoek long hmueihhlutnah neh maehtha te kholaeh hil a nawn uh. Te dongah ni Levi rhoek loh amamih ham neh Aaron koca khosoih rhoek ham khaw a soepsoei pauh.
And afterwards they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron [were busied] in offering burnt-offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
15 Asaph koca rhoek long tah David neh Asaph, Heman neh manghai kah khohmu Jeduthun kah olpaek bangla amamih ngolhmuen ah a hlai uh. Vongka, vongka kah thoh tawt rhoek khaw om tih amih te amamih kah thohtatnah kung lamloh nong pawh. Amih ham te a manuca Levi rhoek loh a soepsoei pah coeng.
And the singers the sons of Asaph [were] in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters [waited] at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16 Te khohnin ah BOEIPA kah thothuengnah cungkuem loh sikim tangloeng coeng. Manghai Josiah kah olpaek bangla Yoom saii ham neh BOEIPA kah hmueihtuk dongah hmueihhlutnah nawn hamla om coeng.
So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt-offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
17 Te vaeng tue kah Yoom ah aka mop Israel ca rhoek loh vaidamding khotue te khaw hnin rhih khuiah a bul uh.
And the children of Israel [that were] present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18 Tonghma Samuel tue lamloh Israel khuiah te tlam te Yoom ana saii moenih. Israel manghai boeih long pataeng Josiah neh khosoih rhoek, Levi rhoek, Judah pum neh Israel kah aka mop rhoek, Jerusalem khosa boeih kah a saii bangla Yoom te a saii uh moenih.
And there was no passover like that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19 Josiah kah ram kum hlai rhet vaengah Yoom he a saii.
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
20 Josiah loh im te boeih a cikngae sak hnukah tah Egypt manghai Neko tah Perath kah Karkhemish ah vathoh hamla pawk. Te dongah Josiah khaw anih mah hamla cet.
After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
21 Tedae a taengla puencawn a tueih pah tih, “Kai laklo neh Judah manghai nang laklo ah balae aka om? Tahae khohnin ah he nang, namah taengah bueng pawt tih kamah caemtloek imkhui taengah khaw ka pawk. Pathen loh kamah teangah hlawt a thui. Nang te paa palueng, Pathen he kai taengah om tih nang te m'phae mahpawt nim?” a ti nah.
But he sent embassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? [I come] not against thee this day, but against the house with which I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from [meddling with] God, who [is] with me, that he may not destroy thee.
22 Tedae Josiah tah anih taeng lamloh a maelhmai hooi pawh. Anih taengah vathoh ham te sa uh. Pathen ka lamkah Neko ol te hnatun pawt tih Megiddo kolbawn ah vathoh hamla cet.
Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself that he might fight with him, and hearkened not to the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23 Tedae aka nuen rhoek loh manghai Josiah te a kah uh. Te dongah manghai loh a sal rhoek taengah, “Kai he n'khuen uh laeh, bahoeng tlo coeng,” a ti nah.
And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am severely wounded.
24 Te dongah anih te a sal rhoek loh leng dong lamkah a hal uh tih a hmatoeng kah leng dongah a tloeng uh. Te phoeiah anih te Jerusalem la a khuen uh dae duek tih a napa rhoek kah phuel ah a up uh. Te vaengah Judah pum neh Jerusalem loh Josiah hamla nguekcoi uh.
His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in [one of] the sepulchers of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women have spoken of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and behold, they [are] written in the lamentations.
26 Josiah kah ol noi neh BOEIPA olkhueng dongah a daek bangla a sitlohnah khaw,
Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to [that which was] written in the law of the LORD,
27 a olka a kung neh a dong khaw Israel neh Judah manghai rhoek cabu dongah a daek coeng ke.
And his deeds, first and last, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
