1 Jehoiada loh kum rhih khuiah thaa a huel tih yakhat mangpa rhoek taengah, Jeroham capa Azariah taengah, Jehohanan capa Ishmael taengah, Obed capa Azariah taengah, Adaiah capa Maaseiah taengah, Zikhri capa Elishaphat taengah paipi neh amah taengla a loh.

And in the year seventh he strengthened himself Jehoiada and he took [the] commanders of the hundreds to Azariah [the] son of Jeroham and to Ishmael [the] son of Jehohanan and to Azariah [the] son of Obed and with Maaseiah [the] son of Adaiah and with Elishaphat [the] son of Zikri with himself in covenant.

2 Te phoeiah Judah te a hil uh tih Judah khopuei tom lamkah Levi rhoek khaw, Israel napa rhoek kah a lu rhoek khaw a coi uh phoeiah Jerusalem la mael uh.

And they went around in Judah and they gathered the Levites from all [the] cities of Judah and [the] heads of the fathers of Israel and they came to Jerusalem.

3 Hlangping boeih long khaw Pathen im ah manghai neh paipi a saii uh. Te vaengah amih te, “Manghai capa he BOEIPA loh David koca ham a thui vanbangla manghai pai saeh.

And it made all the assembly a covenant in [the] house of God with the king and he said to them here! [the] son of the king he will reign just as he spoke Yahweh on [the] sons of David.

4 Hekah hno he saii uh. Nangmih Sabbath vaengah aka pawk khosoih rhoek neh Levi hlopthum khuikah te cingkhaa thoh tawt la om saeh.

This [is] the thing which you will do the third [part] of you [who] come of the sabbath to the priests and to the Levites [will become] [the] gatekeepers of the thresholds.

5 Hlopthum ah pakhat te manghai im ah, hlopthum ah pakhat bal te khoengim vongka ah saeh. Pilnam pum he BOEIPA im kah vongup ah om saeh.

And the third [part] [will be] at [the] house of the king and the third [part] [will be] at [the] gate of the foundation and all the people [will be] in [the] courts of [the] house of Yahweh.

6 Khosoih rhoek neh Levi rhoek khuikah aka thotat ham bueng phoeiah tah BOEIPA im la kun uh boel saeh. Amih tah amamih khaw a cim dongah kun uh saeh. Tedae pilnam boeih long tah BOEIPA kah a kuek te ngaithuen uh saeh.

And may not anyone go [the] house of Yahweh that except the priests and those [who] are serving of the Levites they they will go for [are] holiness they and all the people they will keep [the] duty of Yahweh.

7 Levi rhoek loh manghai te a kut dongkah a hnopai neh a taengah rhip vael uh saeh lamtah im khuila aka kun tah duek sak saeh. Manghai a kunael vaengah khaw a vuenva vaengah khaw a taengah om puei saeh,” a ti nah.

And they will surround the Levites the king all around each man and weapons his in hand his and the [one who] comes into the house he will be put to death and be with the king when comes he and when goes out he.

8 Te dongah Levi rhoek neh Judah pum long khaw a cungkuem dongah khosoih Jehoiada kah a uen bangla a saii uh. Tedae khosoih Jehoiada loh boelnah te a phaelhael pawt dongah hlang loh amah hlang te tah Sabbath aka vuenva ham neh Sabbath aka kunael ham a khuen uh.

And they did the Levites and all Judah according to all that he had commanded Jehoiada the priest and they took each men his [who] were coming of the sabbath with [who] were going out of the sabbath for not he dismissed Jehoiada the priest the divisions.

9 Te phoeiah khosoih Jehoiada loh yakhat mangpa rhoek te caai neh, photling len khaw, photling ca khaw, manghai David loh Pathen im ah a khueh te a paek.

And he gave Jehoiada the priest to [the] commanders of the hundreds the spears and the shields and the shields which [had belonged] to the king David which [were] [the] house of God.

10 Te vaengah pilnam neh hlang boeih loh a kut dongkah a pumcumnah neh bantang im kaep lamloh banvoei im kaep hil, hmueihtuk taengah khaw, manghai im kaepvai ah khaw a pai sak.

And he stationed all the people and each - weapon his [was] in hand his from [the] side of the house south to [the] side of the house north to the altar and to the house at the king all around.

11 Te phoeiah manghai capa te a khuen uh tih a soah rhuisam neh olphong a khuem sakuh. Anih te a manghai sak uh tih Jehoiada neh anih koca rhoek loh a koelh phoeiah tah, “Manghai tah hing pai saeh,” a ti uh.

And they brought out [the] son of the king and they put on him the crown and the testimony and they made king him and they anointed him Jehoiada and sons his and they said may he live the king.

12 Pilnam kah a yong ol neh manghai kah a thangthen ol te Athaliah loh a yaak dongah BOEIPA im kah pilnam taengla cet.

And she heard Athaliah [the] sound of the people who were running and who were praising the king and she came to the people [the] house of Yahweh.

13 A sawt vaengah tah manghai te a khuirhai kah tung taengah, mangpa rhoek neh olueng rhoek te manghai taengah tarha ana pai pah. Khohmuen pilnam boeih khaw a kohoe tih olueng a ueng thil uh. Lumlaa kah tumbael neh aka hlai khaw, thangthen hamla aka ming khaw om. Te dongah Athaliah loh a himbai te a phen tih, “Lairhui, lairhui,” a ti.

And she saw and there! the king [was] standing at pillar his at the entrance and the officials and the trumpets [were] with the king and all [the] people of the land [was] joyful and [was] giving a blast on trumpets and the singers with [the] instruments of song [were] leading to praise and she tore Athaliah clothes her and she said treason treason.

14 Khosoih Jehoiada loh tatthai aka taem yakhat mangpa rhoek te a tueih tih amih te, “Anih he rhongpai im la khuen uh lamtah anih hnukah aka bang rhoek khaw cunghang dongah duek saeh,” a ti nah. Khosoih loh, “Anih te BOEIPA im ah duek sak uh boeh,” a ti nah.

And he sent out Jehoiada the priest [the] commanders of the hundreds - [the] officers of the army and he said to them bring out her to from between the ranks and the [one who] goes after her he will be put to death with the sword for he had said the priest not you must put to death her [the] house of Yahweh.

15 Te dongah manghai im kah marhang vongka khuirhai te a pha vaengah tah anih soah kut a hlah uh tih pahoi a duek sakuh.

And they put to her hands and she went to [the] entrance of [the] gate of the horses [the] house of the king and they put to death her there.

16 Te phoeiah Jehoiada loh amah laklo neh pilnam boeih laklo ah khaw, manghai laklo ah khaw, BOEIPA kah pilnam la om ham paipi a saii.

And he made Jehoiada a covenant between himself and between all the people and between the king to become a people of Yahweh.

17 Pilnam pum te Baal im la cet uh tih a palet uh. A hmueihtuk neh a mueihlip te khaw a phaek pauh. Baal kah khosoih Mattan te khaw hmueihtuk hmai ah a ngawn uh.

And they went all the people [the] house of Baal and they pulled down it and altars its and images its they broke and Mattan [the] priest of Baal they killed before the altars.

18 Te phoeiah Jehoiada loh BOEIPA im kah cawhkung rhoek te BOEIPA im ah David loh a hmoel Levi khosoih rhoek kut ah a tloeng. Te rhoek te David kut dongah khaw BOEIPA kah hmueihhlutnah te Moses olkhueng khuiah a daek bangla kohoenah neh, laa neh aka khuen la omuh.

And he put Jehoiada [the] oversight of [the] house of Yahweh in [the] hand of the priests the Levites whom he had assigned David over [the] house of Yahweh to offer up [the] burnt offerings of Yahweh according to [what] is written in [the] law of Moses with joy and with song on [the] hands of David.

19 BOEIPA im kah vongka ah thoh tawt a pai sak tih rhalawt tah olka cungkuem dongah khaw mop thai pawh.

And he stationed the gatekeepers at [the] gates of [the] house of Yahweh and not he came a [person] unclean to any matter.

20 Te phoeiah yakhat mangpa khaw, aka khuet rhoek khaw, pilnam aka taemrhai rhoek khaw, khohmuen pilnam boeih khaw a khuen tih manghai te BOEIPA im lamloh a suntlak puei. Te phoeiah manghai im kah a so vongka khui longah kun tih manghai te ram kah ngolkhoel dongah a ngol sakuh.

And he took [the] commanders of the hundreds and the nobles and the rulers over the people and - all [the] people of the land and he brought down the king from [the] house of Yahweh and they came in [the] middle of [the] gate upper [the] house of the king and they made sit the king on [the] throne of royalty.

21 Te dongah khohmuen pilnam boeih tah a kohoe uh tih khopuei khaw mong. Tedae Athaliah te tah cunghang neh a duek sakuh.

And they rejoiced all [the] people of the land and the city it was at peace and Athaliah they had put to death with the sword.
