And he was a man one from Ramathaim Zophim from [the] hill country of Ephraim and name his [was] Elkanah [the] son of Jeroham [the] son of Elihu [the] son of Tohu [the] son of Zuph an Ephrathite.
2 Anih te yuu panit tih a yuu cuek te Hannah, a pabae tah Peninnaha ming nah. Penninah te camoe om tih Hannah tah camoe om pawh.
And [belonged] to him two wives [the] name of one [was] Hannah and [the] name of the second [was] Peninnah and it belonged to Peninnah children and [belonged] to Hannah not children.
3 Tekah hlang tah thothueng ham neh Caempuei BOEIPA nawn hamla hnin bal hnin bal amah kho lamloh Shiloh la cet. Teah te BOEIPA khosoih Eli ca rhoi Hophni neh Phinekha khaw om.
And he went up the man that from city his from days - days towards to bow down and to sacrifice to Yahweh of hosts at Shiloh and there [the] two [the] sons of Eli Hophni and Phinehas [were] priests of Yahweh.
4 A tuea pha tih Elkanah loh a nawn vaengah tah maehvae te a yuu Peninnah neh a capa rhoek khaw a canu rhoek khaw boeiha paek.
And it was the day and he sacrificed Elkanah and he gave to Peninnah wife his and to all sons her and daughters her portions.
5 BOEIPA loh a bung piim sak cakhaw Hannah taha lungnah dongah maehvaea paek vaengah Hannah ham tah pakhat neh a rhaep pah thil.
And to Hannah he gave a portion one double for Hannah he loved and Yahweh he had closed womb her.
6 BOEIPA loh Hannah bunga piim sak tih a caeng dongah Hannah tah konoinah neh, citcai neh hue a sak.
And she provoked her rival her also provocation in order to disconcert her for he had closed Yahweh behind womb her.
7 Kum khat phoeiah kum khat BOEIPA im a paan vaengah khaw hue a sak. Te dongah rhap tih buh ca pawh.
And thus he did a year in a year as often as went up she in [the] house of Yahweh thus she provoked her and she wept and not she ate.
8 Te dongah anih te a va Elkanah loh, “Hannah balae tih na rhah, balae tih buh na caak pawh? Balae tih na thinkoa phoena? Ca tongpa parha lakah khaw nang taengah ka then moenih a?, a ti nah.
And he said to her Elkanah husband her O Hannah why? do you weep and why? not are you eating and why? is sad heart your ¿ not [am] I good to you more than ten sons.
9 Te daengah Shiloh kah Hannah loh caak ok ham thoo. Te vaengah khosoih Eli tah BOEIPA bawkim rhungsut taengkah ngolkhoel dongah ngol.
And she arose Hannah after had eaten in Shiloh and after had drunk and Eli the priest [was] sitting on the seat at [the] doorpost of [the] temple of Yahweh.
10 Hannah tah a hinglu khahing tih a rhah doe a rhah doela BOEIPA taengah thangthui.
And she [was] bitter of soul and she prayed to Yahweh and utterly she wept.
11 Te vaengah olcaeng neh a caeng tih, “Caempuei BOEIPA, na salnu kah phacipphabaem he han so rhoela so lah. Kai he m'poek lamtah na salnu he hnilh boeh. Tedae hlang kah tiingan te na salnu ham m'pae lamtah a hing tue boeih te BOEIPA taengla kam pae eh. A lu dongah thiha loh ben boel saeh,” a ti nah.
And she vowed a vow and she said O Yahweh of hosts certainly [if] you will look - on [the] affliction of maidservant your and you will remember me and not you will forget maidservant your and you will give to maidservant of your spring of men and I will give him to Yahweh all [the] days of life his and a razor not it will go up on head his.
12 BOEIPA mikhmuh aha thangthui te a koe coeng dongah Eli loh a ka te a sawt pah.
And it was that she had increased to pray before Yahweh and Eli [was] watching mouth her.
13 Hannah te a lungbuei khuiah cal tih a hmui ni dawka tat coeng. Tedae a ola yaak pawt dongah Eli loh anih te yurhui laa poek.
And Hannah she [was] speaking to heart her only lips her [were] quivering and voice her not it was heard and he considered her Eli to a drunken [woman].
14 Te dongah anih te Eli loh, “Me hil nim na rhuihmil ve, namah te na misur dong lamkah loh cue uh saw,” a ti nah.
And he said to her Eli until when? will you be drunk! remove wine your from with you.
15 Hannah loh a doo tih, “Moenih, ka boeipa, Kai huta he ka mueihla mangkhak sut tih misur khaw yu khaw ka ok moenih. Tedae ka hinglu he BOEIPA mikhmuh ah ka kingling coeng.
And she answered Hannah and she said no O lord my [am] a woman hard of spirit I and wine and strong drink not I have drunk and I have poured out soul my before Yahweh.
16 Ka kohuet cungkuem neh tahae ah ka konoi nen ni ka thangthui. Na sal nu kah a muen he na kodang ah dueh boel mai.
May not you give maidservant your before a daughter of worthlessness for from [the] greatness of complaint my and provocation my I have spoken until now.
17 Eli loh a doo tih, “Ngaimong la cet lamtah amah taengah na bih na huithuinah te Israel Pathen loh m'pae saeh,” a ti nah.
And he answered Eli and he said go to peace and [the] God of Israel may he grant petition your which you have asked from with him.
18 Te dongah, “Na tueihyoeih he na mikhmuh ah mikdaithen khaw dang van saeh,” a ti nah. Te dongah huta te amah caeh long ah cet tiha caak. Te lamkah long tah Hannah kah maelhmai khaw pumphoe voel pawh.
And she said may she find maidservant your favor in view your and she went the woman to way her and she ate and face her not they were to her still.
19 Mincang ah thoo uh tih BOEIPA mikhmuh ah tho a thuenguh. Te phoeiah bal uh tih Ramah kah a im tea paan uh. Te vaengah Elkanah loh a yuu Hannah tea ming hatah Hannah te BOEIPA loh a poek.
And they rose early in the morning and they bowed down before Yahweh and they returned and they went to house their Ramah towards and he knew Elkanah Hannah wife his and he remembered her Yahweh.
20 Khohnina thoknaha pha vaengah Hannah te vawn tih caa cun. Camoe he, “BOEIPA taengah ka bih,” a ti dongah a ming te Samuela sak.
And it was to [the] circuit of the days and she conceived Hannah and she bore a son and she called name his Samuel for from Yahweh I asked for him.

And he went up the man Elkanah and all household his to sacrifice to Yahweh [the] sacrifice of the days and vow his.
22 Tedae Hannah tah a caeh kolla a va taengah, “Camoe suuk a kan vaengah ka khuen bitni. Te vaengah BOEIPA hmai ah phoe vetiha kum a hal pahoi om bitni,” a ti nah.
And Hannah not she went up for she said to husband her until he will be weaned the lad and I will take him and he will appear with [the] presence of Yahweh and he will dwell there until perpetuity.
23 Te dongah anih te a va Elkanah loh, “Na mikhmuh aha then la saii, anih te suk na kan sak duela om mai ngawn, a ol te BOEIPA loh thoh nawn saeh,” a ti nah. Te dongaha yuu te om tih a capa loh a suk a kan duelaa khut.
And he said to her Elkanah husband her do the good in view your remain until wean you him only may he carry out Yahweh word his and she remained the woman and she suckled son her until (had weaned she *LAH(b)*) him.
24 Camoe te suk a kan vanneh vaito kum thum, vaidam te cangnoek pakhat, misur te tuitang pakhat a khuen tih Shiloh kah BOEIPA ima paan puei. Te vaengaha capa te camoe pueng.
And she brought up him with her just when she had weaned him with young bulls three and an ephah one of flour and a skin of wine and she took him [the] house of Yahweh Shiloh and the lad [was] a lad.
25 Vaito tea ngawn uh tih camoe te Eli taenglaa thak uh.
And they slaughtered the young bull and they brought the lad to Eli.
26 Te phoeiah Hananah loh, “Aw ka Boeipa, Ka boeipa namah kah hingnah hinglu rhangneh kai tah BOEIPA taengah thangthui ham heah he namah taengah aka pai huta ni.
And she said pardon me O lord my [by] [the] life of self your O lord my I [am] the woman who stood with you in this [place] to pray to Yahweh.
27 Camoe ham he ka thangthui tih amah taeng lamkah ka bih vanbangla ka huithuinah te ka taengah BOEIPA loh m'paek coeng.
Concerning the lad this I prayed and he has granted Yahweh to me petition my which I asked from with him.
28 Te dongah anih he BOEIPA ham ni ka bih tih aniha tue khohnin aka om boeih khaw BOEIPA ham ni ka bih coeng,” a ti nah tih BOEIPA taengah pahoi bakop.
And also I I entrust him to Yahweh all the days which he has been he [is] asked by Yahweh and he bowed down there to Yahweh.
