Peter, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the dispersion, of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia--
2 Jesuh Khrih kah olngainah neh thiia haeh dongah mueihla kah cimcaihnah rhangneh pa Pathen kah a ming oepsoeh vanbangla nangmih taengah lungvatnah neh ngaimongnah ping saeh tila kan yaak sak.
according to the predetermination of God the Father, by a sanctification of the Spirit, in order to obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Favor and peace be multiplied to you.
3 Mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah Pathen neh Pa tah thangpom pai saeh. A rhennaha len vanbangla duek lamkah Jesuh Khrih kah thohkoepnah loh aka hing ngaiuepnah dongah mamih n'cun coeng.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has regenerated us to a lively hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 Aka kuei tih aka cuem neh aka tlumtloih pawh rho la,
to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, preserved in the heavens for us;
5 hnukkhueng tue ah sikim la aka pumphoe ham khangnahte tangnah lamloha khoembaeltih Pathen kah thaomnah neh nangmih ham vaan aha kuem coeng.
who, by the power of God, are guarded through faith, to the salvation prepared to be revealed in the last time.
6 Te dongah hlampan uh lah. A kuek coeng atah noemcainah cungkuem dongah kolkalh khaw kothae neh om ta.
On account of this, be exceeding glad, though now, for a little while, (since it is needful, ) you are made sorry by divers trials;
7 Te daengah man aka poci sui lakah aka kuel nangmih kah tangnah dongkah nuemnainah te hmai neha nuemnai vaengah Jesuh Khrih kah pumphoenah dongah koehnah, thangpomnah neh hinyahnah tea hmuh ve.
that the trying of your faith, (much more precious than of gold, which perishes, though proved by fire, ) may be found to praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
8 Anih te m'hmuh pawt dae na lungnah uh. Tahae ah khaw m'hmu uh pawt dae amah tena tangnah uh dongah thui thai lek mueh omngaihnah neh na kohoe uh tihna thangpom uh.
whom, not having seen, you love; on whom, not now looking, but believing, you greatly rejoice, with joy unspeakable and full of glory--
9 Nangmih kah tangnah lamkah aka thoeng loh hinglu khangnah te na dang uh.
receiving the consummation of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Nangmih ham lungvatnah kawng aka phong tonghma rhoek loh tekah khangnah kawng te a tlap uh tiha cae uh.
Concerning which salvation, the prophets inquired accurately, and searched diligently, who have prophesied concerning the favor bestowed on you;
11 Khrih kah patangnah neh te phoeikah thangpomnah te Khrih mueihla loh amih khuiaha phong vaengah balae, mebang tue nim a thuicaih tila a khe uh.
searching diligently of what things, and what kind of time, the Spirit of Christ, who was in them, did signify, when he testified before the sufferings of Christ, and the glories following these--
12 Amih taengah aka pumphoe te amamih ham moenihtih te nen te nangmih ham ni a moem uh. Tete vaan lamkah han tueih Mueihla Cim neh nangmih olthangthen a phongte tahaeah amih rhangneh nangmih taengah ha puen coeng. Tekah khuila sawt hamla puencawn rhoek loh a hue uh.
to whom it was revealed, that, not for themselves, but for us, they ministered these things; which have now been reported to you, by them who have declared the glad tidings to you, with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven: into which things, angels earnestly desire to look attentively.
13 Te dongah nangmih kah kopoek pumpu te hlawt lamtah cue uh lah. Jesuh Khrih kah pumphoenah dongah nangmih ham lungvatnah han khuen te khuek ngaiuep lah.
Wherefore, having the loins of your mind girded, being vigilant, constantly hope for the gift to be brought to you, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
14 Olngainah kah a carhoek vanbangla, hnukbuetah na kotalhnah bangla hoehhamnah te rhoii uh boeh.
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts, in your ignorance;
15 Tedae nangmih aka khue tea cimcaih vanbangla, nangmih khaw omih boeih dongah cimcaih la om uh lah.
but as he who has called you is holy, be you also holy;
16 Kai cimcaih la ka om dongah, cimcaih la om uh tilaa daek coeng.
for it is written, "Be you holy, because I am holy."
17 Te phoeiah pakhat rhip kah khoboe vanbangla langya ah lai aka tloek tea pa tila na khue uh atah nangmih kah yinlai la na om uh a tue khuiah rhihnah neh khosa uh.
And seeing you call on the Father, who, without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work--pass the time of your sojourning here, in fear;
18 Nangmih kah a honghi neh khokhuen omih lamkah aka hmawn thai tangka, neh sui neh n'tlan uh moenih.
knowing that, not with corruptible things, as silver and gold, you were redeemed from your foolish behavior, delivered to you by your fathers;
19 Tedae tuca banglaa cuemthuek neha cuemhmuet a phu aka tlo Khrih thii nen ni tila ming uh.
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish, and without spot;
20 Diklai tong hlanaha ming coeng ta. Amah lamloh Pathen dongah uepom nangmih ham hnukkhueng tue ah khaw phoe coeng.
predetermined, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for you;
21 Amahte duek lamkaha thoh tih a taengah thangpomnaha paek coeng. Te dongah nangmih kah tangnah neh ngaiuepnah te Pathen dongah om saeh.
who through him, believe in God, who raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Hmantang kah manuca lungnah ham oltak kah olngainah neh na hinglu te ciim uh. Thinkoa caih lamloh khat neh khat nguen nguen lungnah uh.
Wherefore, having purified your souls by obeying the truth, through the Spirit, to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another, from a pure heart, fervently:
23 Aka hmawn thai cangtii lamkah pawt tih aka kuei, aka hing tih aka naeh Pathen kah olka lamloh n'cun coeng. (aiōn g165)
having been regenerated, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of the living God, which remains. (aiōn g165)
24 Pumsa boeih tah khopol bangla om tih, a thangpomnah boeih khaw khopol paii bangla om. Khopol tah koh tih rhaipai khaw rhul.
"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower of it falls down; but the word of the Lord remains forever."
