1 BOEIPA ol tah Baasha hamla Hanani capa Jehu taengla ha pawk tih,
Then came the word of Yahweh unto Jehu
son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying: Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and gave thee to be leader over my people Israel, —and yet thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and caused, my people Israel, to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins,
3 Baasha hnuk neh a imkhui hnuk te ka hlawp pah coeng he. Te dongah na imkhui te Nebat capa Jeroboam imkhui bangla kang khueh ni.
Behold me! consuming after Baasha, and after his house, —and I will deliver up thy house, like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat:
4 Khopuei ah Baasha kah a duek rhok te ui loh a caak vetih kohong kah a duek rhok te vaan kah vaa loh a caak ni,” a ti.
Him that dieth of Baasha in the city, shall, the dogs, eat, and, him that dieth of his in the field, shall, the birds of heaven, eat.
5 Baasha kah ol noi neh a saii te khaw, a thayung thamal khaw, Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
6 Baasha te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah tah Tirzah ah a up. Te phoeiah a capa Elah te anih yueng la manghai.
So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah, —and, Elah his son, reigned, in his stead.
7 BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae cungkuem a saii tih a kut saii neh amah a veet dongah, Jeroboam imkhui bangla khueh hamla, Hanani capa tonghma Jehu kut ah khaw Baasha ham neh a imkhui hamla BOEIPA ol ha pawk. Te dongah ni anih te a ngawn.
Moreover also, through Jehu son of Hanani the prophet, the word of Yahweh, came against Baasha and against his house, even because of all the wickedness that he had done in the eyes of Yahweh, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, becoming like the house of Jeroboam, —notwithstanding that he smote him.
8 Judah manghai Asa kah a kum kul kum rhuk vaengah Baasha capa Elah he Tirzah kah Israel ah kum nit manghai.
In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, began Elah son of Baasha to reign over Israel, in Tirzah, [and he reigned] two years.
9 Anih tah amah kah sal, leng caem rhakthuem mangpa Zimri loh a taeng. Te vaengah amh te Tirzah kah Tirzah im tawt Arza im ah a ok tih rhui.
Then conspired against him his servant Zimri, captain of half the chariots, —as he was in Tirzah drinking himself drunk, in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah.
10 Zimri a pawk vaengah Elah te a ngawn tih a duek sak. Judah manghai Asa kah kum kul kum rhih vaengah Elah yueng la manghai.
And Zimri went in, and smote him and slew him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, —and reigned in his stead.
11 A manghai neh a ngolkhoel dongah a ngol vanbangla Baasha imkhui te boeih a ngawn tih pangbueng aka yun thil khaw, a tlan sa khaw, a hui khaw hlun pawh.
And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he smote all the house of Baasha, he left him not even the meanest, —neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.
12 BOEIPA ol bangla Zimri loh Baasha imkhui te boeih a mitmoeng sak. Te te Baasha hamla tonghma Jehu kut ah ana thui coeng.
Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, —according to the word of Yahweh which he spake unto Baasha, through Jehu the prophet;
13 Baasha kah tholhnah cungkuem neh a capa Elah kah tholhnah dongah tholh uh. Te dongah Israel te a tholh sak tih amih kah a honghi neh Israel Pathen BOEIPA te a veet.
as to all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, —wherewith they sinned, and wherewith they caused, Israel, to sin, provoking to anger Yahweh God of Israel, with their vanities.
14 Elah kah ol noi neh a saii boeih te Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Elah, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
15 Judah manghai Asa kah kum kul kum rhih, Tirzah ah Zimri hnin rhih a manghai vaengah pilnam loh Philisti kah Gibbethon a rhaeh rhil.
In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, did Zimri reign, seven days in Tirzah, —but, the people, were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistine.
16 Pilnam aka rhaeh loh a yaak vaengah, “Zimri loh a taeng tih manghai te khaw a ngawn,” a ti uh. Te dongah Israel pum loh Israel sokah caempuei mangpa Omri te rhaehhmuen khuiah hnin at neh a manghai sakuh.
When therefore the people who were encamped, heard say, Zimri hath conspired, moreover also, he hath smitten the king, all Israel made Omri, general of the army, king over Israel, on that day, in the camp.
17 Te dongah Omri neh a taengkah Israel pum tah Gibbethon lamloh thoeih uh tih Tirzah te a dum uh.
So Omri, and all Israel with him, went up from Gibbethon, —and laid siege against Tirzah.
18 Khopuei a buem pah te Zimri loh a hmuh van neh manghai im kah impuei la kun. Te phoeiah manghai im te a kaep ah hmai neh a hoeh tih amah khaw duek.
And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was captured, that he entered into the citadel of the house of the king, —and burned over him the house of the king, with fire, and died:
19 A tholhnah dongah a tholhnah bangla BOEIPA mik ah boethae a saii te tholh coeng. Israel te tholh sak ham aka saii Jeroboam kah longpuei neh a tholhnah dongah ni a. pongpa.
because of his sins which he committed by doing the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —by walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he committed, by causing, Israel, to sin.
20 Zimri kah ol noi, a lairhui neh a ven khaw, Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Zimri, and his conspiracy wherein he conspired, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
21 Te vaengah Israel pilnam he rhakthuem la vik a paek. Pilnam rhakthuem te Ginath capa Tibni taengah om tih amah te a manghai sak. A rhakthuem te Omri hnuk a vai.
Then, were the people of Israel divided, —half the people, were following Tibni son of Ginath, to make him king, and, half, following Omri.
22 Tedae Omri hnukkah pilnam loh Ginath capa Tibni hnukah pilnam te a khuk vaengah Tibni te duek tih Omri te manghai.
But, the people that followed Omri, prevailed against, the people that followed Tibni son of Ginath; so that, Tibni, died, and, Omri, reigned.
23 Judah manghai Asa kah kum sawmthum kum khat vaengah, Omri loh Israel kum hlai nit a manghai thil tih Tirzah ah kum rhuk manghai.
In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, began Omri to reign over Israel [and he reigned] twelve years: in Tirzah, reigned he six years.
24 Shemer taengkah Samaria tlang te cak talent panit neh a lai. Tlang soah kho a thoong tih a thoong khopuei ming te tlang kah boei Shemer ming neh Samaria la a khue.
And he bought the hill Samaria, of Shemer, for two talents of silver, —and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer lord of the hill—Samaria.
25 Omri loh BOEIPA mik ah boethae a saii tih amah hmai kah boeih lakah thae a huet.
And Omri did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and did more wickedly than all who were before him;

yea he walked in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin, —provoking to anger Yahweh, God of Israel, with their vanities.
27 Omri kah ol noi a khueh te khaw, a thayung thamal neh a tueng sak te khaw, Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Omri, what he did, and his might that he shewed, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
28 Omri te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah Samaria ah a up. Te phoeiah a capa Ahab te anih yueng la manghai.
So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, —and, Ahab his son, reigned, in his stead.
29 Judah manghai Asa kah kum sawmthum kum rhet kum vaengah Omri capa Ahab te Israel soah manghai. Omri capa Ahab loh Samaria kah Israel soah kum kul kum nit a manghai thil.
Now, Ahab son of Omri, began to reign over Israel, in the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, —and Ahab son of Omri reigned over Israel, in Samaria, twenty-two years.
30 Omri capa Ahab loh anih hmai kah boeih lakah khaw BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii.
And Ahab son of Omri did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and did more wickedly than all that were before him.
31 Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah dongah a pongpa te phoeng a? A yuu te Sidoni manghai Ethbaal canu Jezebel te a loh. Cet bal tih Baal taengah tho a thueng tih a taengah bakop.
And it come to pass, as though it had been too light a thing that he should walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel, daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and bowed down to him.
32 Baal hamla hmueihtuk a suem pah tih Samaria ah Baal im a sak.
And he reared an altar unto Baal, —in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria.
33 Ahab loh Asherah a saii. A saii te khaw amah hmai kah aka om Israel manghai boeih lakah khaw Israel Pathen BOEIPA a veet te Ahab loh a koei.
And Ahab made the Sacred Stem, —and Ahab did yet more to provoke to anger Yahweh God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
34 Anih tue vaengah Betheli Hiel loh Jerikho te a thoh. Nun capa Joshua kut ah a thui BOEIPA ol bangla a caming Abiram neh a toong tih a canoi Segub neh thohkhaih a pai sak.
In his days, did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho, —At the price of Abiram his firstborn, he laid its foundation, and, at the price of Segub his youngest, he set up its doors, according to the word of Yahweh which he spake through Joshua son of Nun.
