1 Johan 5
1 Jesuh tah Khrih ni tila aka tangnah boeih tah Pathen kah ca sak ni. Te dongah aka cun kung te aka lungnah boeih loh amah kah ca sak te khaw a lungnah.
Whosoever believeth that, Jesus, is the Christ, of God, hath been born: and, whosoever loveth him that begat, loveth him that hath been begotten of him.
2 He nen ni Pathen ca rhoek n'lungnah uh te m'ming uh. Pathen te n'lungnah uh tih amah kah olpaek te n'saii uh.
Hereby, perceive we, that we love the children of God, as soon as, God, we love, and, his commandments, we are doing.
3 Amah kah olpaek n'kuem uh te Pathen kah lungnah la om. A olpaek te khaw hnorhih la om pawh.
For, this is the love of God—that, his commandments, we be keeping, and, his commandments, are not burdensome;
4 Pathen kah ca sak boeih loh Diklai a noeng coeng. Diklai aka noeng he ni noengnah la aka om he. Mamih kah tangnah tah te coeng ni.
Because, whatsoever hath been born of God, overcometh the world; and, this, is the victory that hath overcome the world—our faith.
5 Te dongah Pathen Capa tah Jesuh ni tila aka tangnah mueh ah Diklai aka noeng ulae aka om?
[And] who is he that overcometh the world, save he that believeth that, Jesus, is the Son of God?
6 Jesuh Khrih, amah he tah, tui neh thii lamloh aka lo la om. Tui bueng nen pawt tih tui nen khaw, thii nen khaw ha pawk. Mueihla tah oltak la a om dongah ol aka phong te khaw mueihla ni.
This, is he that came through means of water and blood, Jesus Christ: not, by the water, only, but, by the water and by the blood, —and, the Spirit, it is, that is bearing witness, because, the Spirit, is the truth.
7 Ba dongah, aka phong rhoek he pathum lo uh coeng ta.
Because, three, are they who are bearing witness—
8 Mueihla loh, tui loh, thii loh, pathum te khaw pakhat la om uh ta.
The Spirit, and the Water, and the Blood; and, the three, are, [witnesses], unto one thing.
9 Hlang kah olphong te n'dang uh atah Pathen kah olphong tah a tanglue la om. Te Pathen kah olphong te a om dongah a capa kawng te a phong.
If, the witness of men, we receive, the witness of God, is, greater. Because, this, is the witness of God—in that he hath borne witness concerning his Son, —
10 Pathen Capa aka tangnah loh amah dongah laipai a khueh. Pathen aka tangnah pawt loh a capa kawng Pathen loh a phong nah olphong te a tangnah pawt dongah Amah te laithae la a khueh.
He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness, within himself: He that doth not believe God, false, hath made him, —because he hath not believed on the witness which, God, hath witnessed, concerning his Son—
11 Te dongah he ni laipai la aka om coeng. Pathen loh mamih taengah dungyan hingnah m'paek coeng tih te hingnah tah a capa dongah om. (aiōnios g166)
And, this, is the witness: —that, life age-abiding, hath God given unto us, and, this life, is, in his Son: (aiōnios g166)
12 Capa aka khueh loh hingnah a khueh. Pathen Capa aka khueh pawt loh hingnah khueh pawh.
He that hath the Son, hath, the life, —he that hath not the Son of God, hath not, the life.
13 Pathen Capa kah ming aka tangnah rhoek loh dungyan hingnah na khueh uh te ming sak ham ni hekah he nangmih taengah kan daek. (aiōnios g166)
These things, have I written unto you—in order that ye may know that ye have, Life Age-abiding—unto you who believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Amah taengah n'khueh te sayalhnah la om coeng he. Te dongah a kongaih la khat khat m'bih uh atah mamih kah te a hnatun.
And, this, is the boldness which we have towards him: that, if, anything, we ask, according to his will, He doth hearken unto us.
15 Mebang khaw mamih kah m'bih te a yaak tila m'ming uh atah, amah taengkah bihhoenah m'bih te n'dang uh tila m'ming.
And, if we know that he doth hearken unto us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the things asked, which we have asked of him,
16 Khat khat loh a manuca te a tholh a hmuh atah tholhnah he dueknah la a paan pawt ham bih pah saeh. Te daengah ni anih te hingnah a paek eh. Aka tholh rhoek te dueknah la paan pawt cakhaw dueknah la aka pha sak tholhnah om. Na bih ham ka thui te amah tholhnah ham moenih.
If one should see his brother committing a sin, not unto death, he shall ask, and He will grant unto him life, —for them who are sinning, not unto death. There, is, a sin, unto death: not concerning that, am I saying, that he should make request.
17 Boethae boeih he tholhnah ni. Tedae dueknah la aka paan puei pawh tholhnah om.
All unrighteousness, is, sin, and there, is, a sin, not unto death.
18 Pathen kah ca sak boeih tah tholh pawh tila m'ming uh. Tedae Pathen kah ca sak tah amah loh a khoembael. Te dongah rhaithae loh anih te ben pawh.
We know that, whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing sin, —Nay, he that hath been born of God, He keepeth him, and, the wicked one, doth not touch him.
19 Pathen kah a hut la n'om uh te m'ming uh. Tedae Diklai pum tah rhaithae kah hmuiah yalh.
We know that, of God, are we; and, the whole world, in the wicked one, is lying.
20 Te dongah Pathen capa ha pawk te m'ming uh. Te vaengah oltak te ming sak ham mamih he kopoek m'paek coeng. Te dongah oltak neh a Capa Jesuh Khrih dongah n'om uh. Amah tah oltak Pathen neh dungyan hingnah la om. (aiōnios g166)
We know, moreover, that, the Son of God, hath come, and hath given us insight, so that we are getting to understand, him that is Real, —and we are in him that is Real, in his Son Jesus Christ. This, is the Real God, and life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
21 Oingaih rhoek, mueirhol taeng lamloh amah la ngaithuen uh.
Dear children! Guard yourselves from idols.
