Beloved, not every spirit do believe but do test the spirits whether of God they are, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 He nen ni Pathen kah Mueihla te m'ming uh. Jesuh Khrih pumsa la ha pawk tila aka phong mueihla boeih te Pathen kah mueihla ni.
By this (you know *NK(O)*) the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ in [the] flesh having come of God is.
3 Jesuh aka phong mueh boeih te tah Pathen kah mueihla om pawh. Te tah Khrihrhal kah ni te. Te te ha pawk te na yaak uh coeng. Te dongah oepsoeh la diklai ah om coeng.
and any spirit that not confesses Jesus (Christ in flesh having come *K*) from God not is; And this is that of the antichrist which you have heard that is coming and now in the world is already.
4 Oingaih rhoek, nangmih tah Pathen kah ca la na om uh dongah amih te na noeng uh. Nangmih ah aka om tah diklai kah lakah tanglue ta.
you yourselves from God are, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is the [One] in you than the [one] in the world.
5 Amih tah diklai kah ni. Te dongah diklai kah a thui uh vaengah amih kah te diklai loh a yaak tangloeng.
They themselves of the world are; because of this from out of the world they speak and the world to them listens.
6 Mamih tah Pathen kah ni. Pathen aka ming loh mamih kah te a yaak. Pathen kah la aka om mueh loh mamih kah ol ya pawh. Tahae lamkah tah, oltak mueihla neh tholhhiknah mueihla te m'ming uh.
We ourselves of God are; The [one] knowing God listens to us; He who not is from God not listens to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
7 Thintlo rhoek khat neh khat he lungnah sih. Lungnah tah Pathen kah ni. Te dongah hlang aka lungnah boeih tah Pathen kah a sak la om tih Pathen te a ming.
Beloved, we may love one another, because love from God is and everyone who is loving from God has been born and knows God;
8 Pathen tah lungnah la a om dongah aka lungnah pawt loh Pathen te a ming moenih.
The [one] not loving not has known God, because God love is.
9 Hekah neh mamih taengah Pathen kah lungnah tah phoe. Amah lamloh hing sak ham Pathen loh khueh duen a capa te diklai la han tueih coeng.
In this has been revealed the love of God among us, that the Son of Him the one and only has sent God into the world so that we may live through Him.
10 Lungnah tah te khuiah ni a om. Mamih loh Pathen te n'lungnah moenih. Tedae amah loh mamih n'lungnah dongah mamih kah tholhnah kongah ni dawthnah la a capa te a han tueih.
In this is love, not that we ourselves (have loved *N(k)O*) God, but that He himself loved us and He sent the Son of Him [as] a propitiation for the sins of us.
11 Thintlo rhoek, Pathen loh mamih n'lungnah tangloeng atah, mamih loh khat neh khat lungnah a kuek van.
Beloved, if so God loved us, also we ourselves ought one another to love;
12 Pathen a hmuh noek moenih. Khat neh khat n'lungnah atah, Pathen he mamih ah om tih a lungnah loh mamih ah rhuemtuet la om.
God no [one] at any time has seen; if we shall love one another, God in us abides and the love of Him in us perfected is.
13 A Mueihla te mamih m'paek coeng dongah, amah dongah n'naeh uh tih mamih ah amah a naeh te m'ming uh.
By this we know that in Him we abide and He in us, because from out the Spirit of Him He has given to us.
14 Pa loh diklai khangkung la capa han tueih te mamih long khaw m'hmuh uh dongah m'phong uh.
And we ourselves have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son [as] Savior of the world.
15 Jesuh te Pathen Capa ni tila aka phong te tah anih dongah Pathen om tih anih khaw Pathen khuiah om.
Who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) shall confess that Jesus (Christ *O*) is the Son of God, God in him abides and he in God.
16 Pathen loh mamih taengah a khueh lungnah te mamih loh m'ming uh tih n'tangnah uh. Pathen tah lungnah ni. Lungnah dongah aka om tah Pathen dongah om tih Pathen khaw anih ah naeh van.
And we ourselves have come to know and we have come to believe the love that has God as to us. God love is, and the [one] abiding in love in God abides, and God in him (abides. *NO*)
17 He nen he mamih taengah lungnah a cung daengah ni laitloeknah khohnin ah sayalhnah n'khueh uh eh. Amah a om bangla mamih khaw he diklai ah n'om uh.
In this has been perfected love with us, so that confidence we may have in the day of judgment, that even as He is also we ourselves are in world this.
18 Lungnah dongah rhihnah om pawh. Tedae lungnah a soep loh rhihnah te vil a voeih tih rhihnah loh dantatnah han khuen. Te dongah aka birhih tah lungnah dongah a soep moenih.
Fear no there is in love, but perfect love out casts fear, because the fear punishment has; the [one] now fearing not has been perfected in love.
19 Amah loh lamhma la mamih n'lungnah dongah, mamih loh n'lungnah uh.
We ourselves love (him *K*) because He himself first loved us.
20 Khat khat loh Pathen te ka lungnah tila a thui tih a manuca te a hmuhuet atah laithae la om coeng. A hmuh nawn a manuca te aka lungnah pawt loh hmuh mueh Pathen te lungnah thai pawh.
If anyone shall say that I love God and the brother of him may hate, a liar he is; The [one] for not loving the brother of him whom he has seen, God whom not he has seen (not *N(K)O*) is he able to love;
21 Pathen aka lungnah loh a manuca te khaw a lungnah van ham Amah lamkah olpaek he khaw n'dang uh.
And this the commandment we have from Him, that the [one] loving God may love also the brother of him.
