< 1 Khawrin 3 >
1 Manuca rhoek, kai tah nangmih te mueihla hlang bangla ka thui ham a coeng moenih. Tedae pumsa hlang, Khrih ah cahmang rhoek bangla kam voek.
And so, brothers, I could not address you as spiritual men, but as men of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
I fed you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not able,
for you are still of the flesh. For where there is jealousy, strife, and division among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving like mere men?
4 Pakhat loh, “Kai tah Paul kah ni, a tloe long khaw, “Kai tah Apollos kah,” tila na thui vaengah hlang la na om uh mahnim?
For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” are you not of the flesh?
5 Te dongah Apollos tah metlam a om? Paul tah metlam a om?
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each?
6 Kai loh ka phung tih Apollos loh a suep dae Pathen long ni a. rhoeng sak.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.
7 Te dongah aka phung te a tloe moenih, aka suep tah a tloe la a om moenih. Tedae te tah Pathen long ni a rhoeng sak.
So then, neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but only God who gives the growth.
8 Aka phung neh aka suep tah pakhat la a om dongah a thakthaenah bangla a thapang rhip a dang ni.
He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
For we are fellow workers of God; you are God's field, God's building.
10 Pathen kah lungvatnah kai m'paek lamloh aka cueih imsakung bangla khoengim ka tloeng. A tloe loh a tlingtlawn thil dae metla a tlingtlawn khaw rhip hmu nawn saeh.
According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, and another builds upon it. But each person must be careful how he builds upon it.
11 Khoengim aka sut Jesuh Khrih amah a om phoeiah a tloe loh sut ham a coeng moenih.
For no one can lay a foundation other than the one that has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Tedae khat khat loh khoengim te sui, ngun, lungthen, thing, khopol, cangkong, dongah a sak atah,
If anyone builds upon this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
13 khat rhip kah khoboe tah mingpha la om vetih a khohnin loh a thuicaih bitni. Hmai te a pumphoe pah coeng dongah khat rhip kah khoboe te metla a om khaw hmai mah loh a nuemnai bitni.
his work will become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it is revealed by fire. And the fire will test each person's work and reveal what sort of work it is.
14 Pakhat kah a khueng te a bitat a kuei atah thapang a dang ni.
If the work that anyone has built remains, he will receive a reward.
15 Pakhat kah a bisai te a tlum atah sungdaeh ni. Tedae amah ngawntah hmai lamloh a loeih vanbangla a khang van ni.
If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; yet he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
16 Pathen kah bawkim la na om uh tih Pathen Mueihla loh nangmih khuiah a kol te na ming uh moenih a?
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 Pakhat long ni Pathen kah bawkim te a poeih atah anih te Pathen loh a poeih ni. Pathen kah bawkim tah cim ta. Te tah nangmih ni.
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which is what you are.
18 Pakhat khaw amah neh amah hoilae uh boel saeh.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become foolish so that he may become truly wise. (aiōn )
19 Diklai cueihnah tah Pathen taengah angnah la om. A daek tangtae dongah, aka cueih rhoek te amih kah rhaithinah neh a khum.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. As it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”
20 Te phoeiah aka cueih rhoek kah poeknah he a honghi la a coeng te Boeipa loh koep a ming.
and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”
21 A cungluem he nangmih ham a om coeng dongah hlang dongah tah pomsang tangloeng boel saeh.
So then, let no one boast in men. For everything belongs to you,
22 Paul khaw, Apollos khaw, Kephas khaw, Diklai khaw, hingnah khaw, dueknah khaw, aka pai nawn khaw, hmailong khaw, nangmih kah boeih ni.
whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world, or life or death, or things present or things to come—everything belongs to you,
23 Nangmih khaw Khrih kah tih Khrih khaw Pathen kah ni.
and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
