And when I came to you, brothers, I came not to proclaim God’s great secret purpose in fine language of philosophy;
2 A tai taengtae Jesuh Khrih kawng mueh atah pakhat khaw nangmih te ming sak ham ka cai pawh.
for I determined to know nothing, while among you, but Jesus as Christ, and him a crucified Christ.
3 Kai tah a vawtthoek la, rhihnah neh thuennah neh nangmih taengah muep ka om.
In weakness and fear and great trembling came I among you.
4 Te phoeiah kai kah olka neh kai kah olhoe tah hlangyoek dongkah cueihnah ol moenih. Tedae, Mueihla neh thaomnah dongkah phoepueinah ni.
My message and my preaching were not in the persuasive language of philosophy, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power;
5 Te daengah ni nangmih kah tangnah loh hlang kah cueihnah dongah pawt tih Pathen kah thaomnah dongah a om eh.
in order that your faith should rest, not on human philosophy, but on the power of God.
6 Cueihnah he lungcuei rhoek taengah ka thui uh. Tedae cueihnah he ta kumhal kah voel moenih, ta kumhal kah aka mitmoeng boei rhoek kah moenih. (aiōn g165)

7 Tedae olhuep khuiah a thuh Pathen kah cueihnah ni ka thui uh. Te tah khosuen hlanah ni Pathen loh mamih kah thangpomnah ham a nuen coeng. (aiōn g165)
No, it is God’s wisdom that I utter, that hidden wisdom which God had decreed before the world began, unto our glory. (aiōn g165)
8 Te te ta kumhal kah boei rhoek khuiah a ming moenih. Ming uh koinih thangpomnah Boeipa te tai uh pawt suidae. (aiōn g165)
None of the rulers of the present age understands it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. (aiōn g165)
9 Tedae a daek vanbangla, te te mik loh hmu pawt tih hna loh a yaak moenih. Hlang thinko ah khaw cuen pawh. Te te Pathen loh a lungnah rhoek ham ni a hmoel pah.
Nay, as it is written. Eye has not seen, Nor ear heard, Neither have entered into man’s heart The things which God has prepared For those who love him.
10 Tedae Pathen tah Mueihla neh mamih ham pumphoe. Mueihla loh a cungkuem neh Pathen kah dangcing dangvoei khaw a khe.
Yet God has unveiled them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit fathoms everything, even the abysmal depths of God.
11 Hlang kah koe te amah khuikah hlang mueihla mueh atah hlang khuikah te u long a ming. Pathen kah koe khaw Pathen Mueihla mueh atah a ming van moenih.
For what man knows the depths of man except the man’s own inner Spirit? Even so, also, the Spirit of God knows the deeps profound of God.
12 Tedae mamih tah Diklai kah mueihla pawt tih Pathen taeng lamkah mueihla te n'dang uh. Te daengah ni Pathen lamloh mamih khodawk han ngai te m'ming eh.
But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes forth from God, that we may realize the blessings freely given us by God.
13 Te khaw hlanghing kah a thuituen la cueihnah olka nen pawt tih mueihla te mueihla neh aka thuidoek mueihla kah a thuituen nen ni ka thui uh.
Of these high themes we speak in words not taught by human philosophy, but by the Spirit; interpreting spiritual things to spiritual men.
14 Tedae hlang tah a calairhui loh Pathen kah Mueihla te doe pawh. Te te amih ham angnah la om. Caivael la a boelh uh dongah a ming ham khaw coeng pawh.
The unspiritual man rejects the teachings of God’s Spirit; for him it is folly. He cannot understand it, for it is spiritually discerned,
15 Mueihla hlang long tah a cungkuem te a boelh dae anih te boelh uh pawh.
But the spiritual man discerns everything, yet is himself discerned by no one.
16 Te dongah u long Boeipa kah lungbuei te a ming? U long anih te a cului eh? Tedae mamih tah Khrih lungbuei ni n'khueh uh.
For what man understands the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct Him?
