And, Reaiah son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and, Jahath, begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These, are the families of the Zorathites.
3 Etam pacaphung he Jezreel, Ishma neh Idbash tih a ngannu ming tah Hazzelelponi ni.
And, these, were the sons of Etam, Jezreel and Ishma, and Idbash, —and, the name of their sister, was Hazzelelponi;
4 Gedor napa Penuel neh Hushah napa Ezer. He tah Bethlehem napa Epharath kah caming Hur kah koca ni.
and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These, are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.
5 Tekoa napa Ashhur he a yuu panit, Helah neh Naarah om.
And, Ashhur the father of Tekoa, had two wives, —Helah, and Naarah.
6 Anih ham te Naarah loh Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, Haahashtari a sak pah. He rhoek he Naarah koca la om.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzzam and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These, were the sons of Naarah.
7 Helah koca rhoek ah Zereth, Zohar neh Ethan.
And, the sons of Helah, were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.
8 Koz loh Anub neh Zobebah a sak tih Harum capa Aharhel koca la om.
And, Koz, begat Anub, and Zobebah, —and the families of Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9 Te tla a om vaengah Jabez tah a manuca rhoek lakah a thangpom. A manu long khaw, “Tloh neh ka cun,” a ti dongah a ming te Jabez a sui.
Now it came to pass that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, —but, his mother, had called his name Jabez, ["he causes pain"] saying, Because I bare him with pain.
10 Jabez tah Israel Pathen taengah pang tih, “Kai he yoethen la yoe han then sak mai lamtah ka khorhi he han ka sak. Na kut te kai soah om tih yoethae lamloh nan hoep daengah ni ka ko a thae pawt eh?,” a ti nah. Te dongah a bih te Pathen loh a rhoi pah.
So then Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst, indeed bless, me, and enlarge my boundary, and that thy hand might be with me, —and that thou wouldst work [to deliver me] from evil, that it be not my pain. And God brought about that which he asked.

And, the sons of Kenaz, were Othniel, and Seraiah, —and, the sons of Othniel, Hathath.
14 Meonothai loh Ophrah a sak tih Seraiah loh kutthai la aka om Gekharashim napa Joab a sak.
And, Meonothai, begat Ophrah, —and, Seraiah, begat Joab, the father of Ge-harashim, for they were, craftsmen.
15 Jephunneh capa Kaleb koca la Iru, Elah neh Naam, Elah neh Kenaz koca.
And, the sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh, were Iru, Elah, and Naam, —and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.
16 Jehallelel koca ah Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria neh Asarel.
And, the sons of Jehallelel, Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
17 Ezrah koca ah Jether, Mered, Epher, Jalon tih Miriam loh Shammai neh Eshtmoa napa Ishbah a yom.
And, the sons of Ezrah, Jether and Mered, and Epher and Jalon. And, these, are the sons of Bithia, daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took, —and she conceived and bare Miriam and Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Anih yuu Judean loh Gedor napa Jered, Sokoh napa Heber, Zanoah napa Jekuthiel a sak. Te rhoek tah Mered loh a loh Pharaoh canu Bithiah ca rhoek ni.
And, his wife, the Jewess, bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah.
19 Hodiah yuu koca ah Karmee Keliah napa Naham ngannu neh Maakathi Eshtmoa.
And, the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah, the Garmite, —and Eshtemoa, the Maacathite.
20 Shimon koca ah Amnon, Rinnah, Benhanan, Tilon. Ishi koca ah Zoheth neh Benzoheth.
And, the sons of Shimon, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan and Tilon. And, the sons of Ishi, Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
21 Judah capa Shelah koca ah Lekah napa Er, Mareshah napa Laadah tih Ashbe imkhui ah tah baibok dongkah thohtatnah aka saii imkhui koca la om.
the sons of Shelah, the son of Judah, Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, —and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;
22 Te phoeiah Jokim neh Kozeba hlang neh Joash, Moab ah yuu aka lo rhoek Saraph neh Jashubilehem. He khaw tampo ol ni.
and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph who ruled for Moab, and Jashubi-lehem, —but, the records, are ancient.
23 Amih tah Netaim neh Gederah kah khosa ambop la om uh tih a bitat dongah manghai taengah pahoi kho a sak uh.
They, were the potters and the inhabitants of Netaim, and Gederah, —with the king in his work, dwelt they there.
24 Simeon koca ah Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Saul.
The sons of Simeon, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul:
25 Saul capa Shallum, Shallum capa Mibsam, Mibsam capa Mishma.
Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
26 Mishma koca la, Mishma capa Hammuel, Hammuel capa Zakkuur, Zakkuur capa Shimei.
And, the sons of Mishma, Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
27 Shimei te capa hlai rhuk neh canu parhuk om dae a manuca rhoek tah camoe ping uh pawh. Te dongah amih koca boeih te Judah koca tluk la ping uh pawh.
And, Shimei, had sixteen sons, and six daughters, but, his brethren, had not many children, —nor did, any of their family, multiply so much as the sons of Judah.
28 Beersheba, Moladah, Hazarshual ah,
And they dwelt in Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;
29 Bilhah ah, Ezem ah, Tolad ah,
and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad;
30 Bethuel ah, Hormah ah, Ziklag ah,
and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag;

And, their villages, were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, —five cities;
33 Amih kah vangca boeih he tah khopuei taengvai ah Baal duela om. He tah amih kah tolrhum la om tih amih ham a khuui la om coeng.
and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These, were their habitations, and they had their own genealogical register.
34 Meshobab, Jamlekh neh Amaziah capa Joshah.
And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah;
35 Joel neh Asiel koca Seraiah kah a ca, Joshibiah capa Jehu.
and Joel, —and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel:
36 Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel neh Benaiah.
and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah:
37 Shiphi capa Ziza, Allon capa Shiphi, Jedaiah capa Allon, Shimri capa Jedaiah, Shemaiah capa Shimri.
and Ziza, son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.
38 He tlam ni amih koca kah khoboei rhoek ming neh ana tueng tih a napa imkhui khaw a yet la pungtai uh.
These, introduced by their names, were leading men in their families. And, their ancestral house, brake forth exceedingly;
39 Te dongah a boiva kah luemnah tlap ham te kolrhawk khocuk kah Gedor khuirhai duela cet uh.
so they went to the entering in of Gerar, unto the east of the valley, —to seek pasture for their flocks;
40 Te vaengah luemnah then pulpulh a hmuh uh tih khohmuen khaw khocaeh loh dangka. Tedae Ham lamloh lamhma la kho ana sak coeng dongah thayoeituipan neh mong mai.
and they found pasture, fat and good, and, the land, was broad on both hands, and quiet, and secure, —for, of Ham, were the dwellers there aforetime.
41 He tah Judah manghai Hezekiah tue vaengah a ming neh a daek rhoek ni aka tueng. Te vaengah amih kah dap neh Mehunim te a ngawn uh. Tekah a hmuh Mehunim khaw a thup uh dongah tahae khohnin hil amih yueng la kho a sak uh tih a boiva ham luemnah la pahoi om.
But these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim who were found there, and devoted them, until this day, and dwelt in their stead, —for there was pasture for their flocks, there.

And, some of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, five hundred men, —with Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head;
43 Amalek kah rhalyong kah a meet te khaw a ngawn uh tih tahae khohnin hil pahoi kho a sak thiluh.
and they smote the remainder that had escaped, of the Amalekites, —and dwelt there—[as they have] unto this day.
