1 Te phoeiah khaw David loh Philisti te a ngawn tih amih te a kunyun sak. Te vaengah Gath neh a khobuel rhoek te Philisti kut lamloh a lat.
And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Moab te a ngawn bal dongah Moab khaw David taengah khocang aka thak sal la om uh.
And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
3 Zobah manghai Hadadezer loh a kut dongah Perath tuiva phai te khueh hamla a caeh vaengah David loh Khamath duela a ngawn.
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
4 Anih taeng lamkah te David loh leng thawngkhat, marhang caem thawng rhih, rhalkap tongpa thawng kul a tuuk pah. Te vaengah David loh leng khaw boeih a haih pah tih leng yakhat bueng a paih pah.
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
5 Te vaengah Aram Damasku tah Zobah manghai Hadadezer bom hamla ha pawk. Tedae David loh Aram kah hlang thawng kul neh thawng hnih a ngawn.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 David loh Aram Damasku ah khohung a khueh tih Aram te David taengah khocang aka thak sal om. David te a caeh nah takuem ah BOEIPA loh a khang.
And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
7 David loh Hadadezer sal rhoek pum dongah aka om sui photling te a loh tih Jerusalem la a khuen.
And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 Hadadezer khopuei Tibhath lamkah neh Kun lamkah rhohum te yet te David loh bahoeng a loh pah. Te nen te Solomon loh rhohum tuili khaw, tung khaw, rhohum hnopai khaw a saii.
also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 David loh Zobah manghai Hadadezer kah caem boeih a ngawn pah te Khamath manghai Toi loh a yaak.
And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 Hadadezer a vathoh thil tih Toi kah caemtloek hlang rhoek hamla Hadadezer te a ngawn pah. Te dongah amah te sading kawng dawt ham neh amah uem puei hamla manghai David taengah a capa Hadoram te a tueih tih sui hnopai boeih neh cak khaw rhohum khaw a khuen sak.
he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
11 Te rhoek te khaw Manghai David loh BOEIPA taengah namtom cungkuem taeng lamkah, Edom lamkah, Moab lamkah, Ammon koca taeng lamkah, Philisti lamkah, Amalek lamkah a phueih cak neh sui neh a ciim.
them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Zeruiah capa Abishai loh kolrhawk ah Edom te thawng hlai rhet a ngawn.
Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
13 Te dongah Edom ah khohung rhoek a khueh tih Edom boeih te David taengah sal om uh. A caeh nah takuem ah David te BOEIPA loh a khang.
and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
14 David te Israel boeih soah a manghai vaengah a pilnam boeih ham khaw tiktamnah neh duengnah aka saii la om.
So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
15 Zeruiah capa Joab tah caempuei soah, Ahilud capa Jehoshaphat loh khocil aka khoem la om.
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
16 Ahitub capa Zadok neh Abiathar capa Abimelek te khosoih, Shavsha te cadaek la om.
and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
17 Jehoiada capa Benaiah te Kerethi neh Phelethi soah a khueh. David koca rhoek te tah manghai kut ah lamhma uh.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
