Again I lifted up my eyes and saw before me a flying scroll.
2 Anih mah kai khaeah, Timaw na hnuk? tiah ang naa. Kai mah, dong pumphaeto kasawk, dong hato kakawk, kazawk ca tangoeng maeto ka hnuk, tiah ka naa.
“What do you see?” asked the angel. “I see a flying scroll,” I replied, “twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.”
3 To naah anih mah kai khaeah, Hae loe long pum ah kacaeh tangoenghaih ah oh: hae bang ih ca tangoeng nuiah tarik ih baktih toengah, paqu kaminawk loe amro o boih tih; ho bang ih ca tangoeng nuiah tarik ih baktih toengah, amsawnlok thui kaminawk loe amro o boih tih.
Then he told me, “This is the curse that is going out over the face of all the land, for according to one side of the scroll, every thief will be removed; and according to the other side, every perjurer will be removed.
4 Misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih, Kai mah to ca to ka sin han, kamqu ih imthung ah to ca to akun ueloe, ka hmin hoi amsoem ai ah lokkamhaih sah kami imthung ah doeh akun tih: anih ih imthung ah om ueloe, thing hoi thlungnawk to amrosak boih tih, tiah a naa.
I will send it out, declares the LORD of Hosts, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by My name. It will remain inside his house and destroy it, down to its timbers and stones.”
5 Kai hoi lokpae van kami loe hmabang ah caeh moe, kai khaeah, Doeng tahang ah, hmabang kacaeh hmuen loe timaw, tito khen noek ah, tiah ang naa.
Then the angel who was speaking with me came forward and told me, “Now lift up your eyes and see what is approaching.”
6 Kai mah, Hae loe tih aa? tiah ka naa. Anih mah, hae loe hmabang kacaeh benthang ni. Long pum ah kaom kaminawk ih zaehaih loe hae tiah oh, tiah ang naa.
“What is it?” I asked. And he replied, “A measuring basket is going forth.” Then he continued, “This is their iniquity in all the land.”
7 To pacoengah khenah, benthang kraenghaih akhuem to paongh o, to naah benthang thungah anghnu nongpata maeto oh:
And behold, the cover of lead was raised, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket.
8 to naah anih mah, Hae nongpata loe kasae hnuksakhaih ih ni, tiah ang thuih; van kami mah nongpata to benthang thungah a vah let; benthang loe kacakah akhuem to khuem o.
“This is Wickedness,” he said. And he shoved her down into the basket, pushing down the lead cover over its opening.
9 To pacoengah mik padai moe, ka khet tahang naah, angzo nongpata hnetto ka hnuk, nihnik ih pakhraeh ah loe takhi to oh; nihnik loe tui tavaa baktiah pakhraeh a tawnh hoi: nihnik mah benthang to van hoi long salakah atoengh hoi.
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw two women approaching, with the wind in their wings. Their wings were like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
10 Kai hoi lokpae van kami khaeah, Benthang loe naa ah maw sin hoi tih? tiah ka naa.
“Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking with me.
11 Anih mah kai khaeah, Shinar prae ah benthang ih im sak pae hanah a sin hoi: ohhaih ahmuen sak hoi pacoengah, to ah benthang to suem hoi tih, tiah ang naa.
“To build a house for it in the land of Shinar,” he told me. “And when it is ready, the basket will be set there on its pedestal.”
