< Zekariah 11 >

1 Aw Lebanon, nang ih Sidar thing hmai mah kang hanah, nangmah ih khongkha to paong ah.
Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may consume your cedars!
2 Sidar thingkung loe amtim boeh pongah, Aw hmaica thing, qah ah; kahoih thingnawk loe amtim o boih boeh; Bashan ih kamtak oak thingnawk, qah oh; tu thung ih thingnawk loe pahum o boih boeh.
Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen; the majestic trees are ruined! Wail, O oaks of Bashan, for the dense forest has been cut down!
3 Nihcae lensawkhaih to amro boih boeh pongah, tuutoep kaminawk ih qahhaih lok to oh: Jordan amoekhaih loe amro boeh pongah, kaipui hanghaih lok to oh.
Listen to the wailing of the shepherds, for their glory is in ruins. Listen to the roaring of the young lions, for the thickets of the Jordan are destroyed.
4 Ka Angraeng Sithaw mah, hum han kaom tuu to pacah ah;
This is what the LORD my God says: “Pasture the flock marked for slaughter,
5 Tawnkung mah tuunawk to boh naah, danpaekhaih tidoeh om ai: tuu zaw kaminawk mah, Angraeng loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe, kai loe angraeng boeh, tiah thuih o: tuutoep kaminawk loe tuunawk to tahmen ai.
whose buyers slaughter them without remorse. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich!’ Even their own shepherds have no compassion on them.
6 Prae thungah kaom kaminawk tahmenhaih ka tawn mak ai boeh, tiah Angraeng mah thuih: toe, khenah, kami boih angmacae taengah kaom kaminawk khaeah ka paek han, angmacae siangpahrang ban ah ka paek han: nihcae mah prae to tuh o tih, to naah nihcae ban thung hoi ka pahlong mak ai.
For I will no longer have compassion on the people of the land, declares the LORD, but behold, I will cause each man to fall into the hands of his neighbor and his king, who will devastate the land, and I will not deliver it from their hands.”
7 To pongah nang kamtang tuu, hum han kaom tuu to ka pacah han. Tuu toephaih cung hnetto ka lak, maeto loe Kranghoih, tiah ahmin ka paek, kalah maeto loe zaenghaih qui, tiah ka kawk; tuu to ka pacah.
So I pastured the flock marked for slaughter, especially the afflicted of the flock. Then I took for myself two staffs, calling one Favor and the other Union, and I pastured the flock.
8 Khrahto thungah tuutoep kami thumto kang haksak; ka hinghaih mah nihcae to hnukma, nihcae hinghaih mah doeh kai to hnukma o toeng.
And in one month I dismissed three shepherds. My soul grew impatient with the flock, and their souls also detested me.
9 To pacoengah kai mah, Nangcae kang pacah o mak ai boeh, kadueh kami loe, dueh nasoe; anghma kami loe anghma nasoe; anghmat kaminawk loe maeto hoi maeto ih ngan to caa o nasoe, tiah ka naa.
Then I said, “I will no longer shepherd you. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish; and let those who remain devour one another’s flesh.”
10 To naah prae kaminawk boih hoi ka sak ih lokmaihaih to ka lak let thai hanah, Kranghoih cunghet to, ka lak moe, ka khaeh lawt.
Next I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.
11 To na niah angkhaeh lawt; to pongah kai kazing amtang tuutoep kaminawk mah, hae loe Angraeng ih lok ni, tiah panoek o.
It was revoked on that day, and so the afflicted of the flock who were watching me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
12 Kai mah nihcae khaeah, Kahoih hmuen na poek o nahaeloe, ka toksakhaih atho to na paek oh; toe to tiah na poek o ai nahaeloe, na paek o hmah, tiah ka naa. To pongah nihcae mah kai hanah sum kanglung phoisa qui thumto ang noek pae o.
Then I told them, “If it seems right to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” So they weighed out my wages, thirty pieces of silver.
13 To naah Angraeng mah kai khaeah, Nihcae mah kai han katingah ang paek o ih atho to long laom sahkung khaeah va ah, tiah ang naa. To pongah sum kanglung phoisa qui thumto ka lak moe, Angraeng imthung ih long laom sah kami khaeah ka vah.
And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—this magnificent price at which they valued me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
14 To pacoengah zaenghaih qui, tiah kawk ih kalah cung to ka khaeh moe, Judah hoi Israel nawkamya ah ohhaih to ka phraek.
Then I cut in two my second staff called Union, breaking the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 To naah Angraeng mah kai khaeah, kamthu tuutoep kami ih hmuennawk to la ah.
And the LORD said to me: “Take up once more the equipment of a foolish shepherd.
16 Khenah, prae nuiah tuutoep kami maeto ka pacah han, anih loe anghma kaminawk to dawncang mak ai, tuucaanawk doeh pakrong mak ai, ahmaa kaca tuunawk doeh khenzawn mak ai ueloe, angdoe sut tuunawk doeh pacah mak ai: toe anih loe kathawk hruk tuu moi to caa tih, a khokpacin mataeng doeh amongh pae boih tih.
For behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will neither care for the lost, nor seek the young, nor heal the broken, nor sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the choice sheep and tear off their hooves.
17 Tuucaa caehtaak tuutoep kami loe khosak bing! Sumsem mah a ban hoi bantang mik to takroek pae nasoe; a ban to angqo pae nasoe loe, a bantang mik to maeng pae nasoe, tiah a naa.
Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered and his right eye utterly blinded!”
