< Titu 2 >
1 Toe nang loe kaciim patukhaih kahoih loknawk to thui ah:
But do, thou, speak the things which become the healthful instruction: —
2 saning coeh nongpanawk loe acoehaih tawn kami, poekcak kami, khingya koi kaom ah khosah kami, katoeng tanghaih tawn kami, amlunghaih hoi pauephaih tawn kami ah oh han angaih.

3 To baktih toengah saning coeh nongpatanawk doeh khingya koi kaom ah khosah kami, minawk prong koeh kami na ai, mu amoeh kami na ai, kahoih hmuen patuk thaih kami ah oh han angaih;
Aged women, in the same way, in deportment, as becometh sacred persons, not given to intrigue, nor yet, to much wine, enslaved, teachers of virtue, —
4 Sithaw lok to kasae thuih han ai ah, saning kanawk nongpatanawk loe angmacae ih sava palung kami, a caanawk palung kami,
That they may constrain the young women to be, lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children,

soberminded, chaste, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands, —that, the word of God, be not defamed;
6 To baktih toengah nawksainawk doeh mu naek koehhaih palung tawnh o han ai ah thapaek ah.
The younger men, in the same way, exhort thou to be sober-minded:
7 Hmuennawk boih ah minawk khet koi kaom ah khosah ah: patuk naah doeh amro thai ai, kacak palungthin tang hoiah patuk ah,
In all things, shewing, thyself, an ensample of noble works, —in thine instruction, uncorruptness, gravity,
8 to tih nahaeloe na thuih ih lok pongah kasae thuih han om mak ai; to naah ni angaek koeh kami to azat ueloe, nang kasae thuih han tawn o mak ai.
healthful discourse that cannot be condemned, in order that, he that is of the contrary part, may relent, having nothing to say concerning us that is disparaging:
9 Tamnanawk loe angmacae angraeng ih lok to tahngaih moe, lokaek ai ah hmuen boih ah angmacae angraeng palung katong ah khosak o hanah thapaek ah,
Servants, unto their own masters, to be submitting themselves in all things, to be, well-pleasing, not gainsaying,
10 hmuenmae paqu ai ah, hmuen boih ah kahoih oepthohhaih to amtuengsak ah; to tiah ni hmuen boih ah aicae pahlongkung Sithaw lok patukhaih to nihcae mah tahngai han koeh o tih.
not taking anything away, shewing, all good faith, —that, the instruction which is of our Saviour God, they may adorn in all things.
11 Sithaw tahmenhaih rang hoiah kaom pahlonghaih loe kami boih khaeah amtueng boeh.
For the favour of God, bringing salvation for all men, hath shone forth,

Putting us under discipline—in order that, —denying ourselves of ungodliness and worldly covetings, in a soberminded and righteous and godly manner, we should live, in the present age, (aiōn )
13 Aicae loe lensawk Sithaw hoi a oep o ih tahamhoihaih aicae pahlongkung Jesu Kri, lensawkhaih hoiah amtuenghaih to ni a zing o;
Prepared to welcome the happy hope and forthshining of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus, —
14 anih mah zaehaih boih thung hoiah aicae to akrang moe, angmah hanah ciimsak pacoengah, kahoih hmuennawk boih kasah thaih, angmah ih kami ah ohsak hanah, nangcae taham ah angmah hoi angmah to angpaek boeh.
Who gave himself up in our behalf, that he might redeem us from all manner of lawlessness, and purify for himself a people as his own treasure—zealous of noble works.
15 Hae loknawk hae taphong ah, sakthaihaih akaa na tawnh baktih toengah, thapaek ah loe thuitaek ah. Mi mah doeh na patoek hmah nasoe.
As to these things, be speaking and exhorting and reproving, with all manner of precept: let, no one, disregard thee!
