< Solomon Laa 8 >
1 Aw nang loe kam no ih tahnutui nae thangqoi baktiah ohsak han ka koeh; tasa bangah kang hnuk naah, nang to kang mok han, ue, mi mah doeh kasae na thui o mak ai.
I would that thou, O my kinsman, wert he that sucked the breasts of my mother; when I found thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, they should not despise me.
2 Nang to kang zaeh moe, kai thuitaekkung, kam no imthung ah kang caeh haih han; hmuihoih misurtui hoi pomegranat thingthai tui to kang naeksak han.
I would take thee, I would bring thee into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me; I would make thee to drink of spiced wine, of the juice of my pomegranates.
3 Anih ih banqoi ban to lu kang hngoeng haih, a bantang ban hoiah kai ang takoih.
His left hand [should be] under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 Aw Jerusalem canunawk, angmah koeh ah angthawk ai karoek to, ka tlangai to palawt o hmah, tiah lok kang thuih o.
I have charged you, ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the virtues of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, until he please.
5 Angmah ih tlangai khaeah amha, praezaek hoiah angzo kami loe mi aa? Shulam tangla ih lok Epal kung tlim ah nang to kang qoengsak: to ah nam no mah ang pomh; to ah nam no mah ang tapen boeh.
Who is this that comes up all white, leaning on her kinsman? I raised thee up under an apple-tree; there thy mother brought thee forth; there she that bore thee brought thee forth.
6 Kai hae na palung nuiah catui daeng ah loe, na ban tampawk nuiah tacik to daeng ah; amlunghaih loe duekhaih baktiah thacak; uthaih palungthin loe taprong baktiah palung maengh; anih loe hmaipalai baktiah kangh moe, thacak hmai kangqong baktiah oh. (Sheol )
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thine arm; for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave, her shafts are shafts of fire, [even] the flames thereof. (Sheol )
7 Amlunghaih loe pop parai tui mah paduek thai ai, vapui tui mah doeh pazawk thai ai; amlunghaih tawnh pongah, kami mah a tawnh ih hmuennawk boih paek han koeh cadoeh, kasae thuihaih om toengtoeng vop tih.
Much water will not be able to quench love, and rivers shall not drown it; if a man would give all his substance for love, [men] would utterly despise it.
8 Aicae mah tanuh maeto a tawnh o, anih loe tahnu doeh om ai vop; anih to zu ah dueng o nahaeloe, anih hanah timaw a sak pae o han?
Our sister is little, and has no breasts; what shall we do for our sister, in the day wherein she shall be spoken for?
9 Anih loe sipae ah om nahaeloe, anih nuiah sumkanglung imsang to ka sak pae o han; anih loe thok ah om nahaeloe, anih to sidar thingphaek hoiah ka padap o han.
If she is a wall, let us build upon her silver bulwarks; and if she is a door, let us carve for her cedar panels.
10 Kai loe sipae ah ka oh, kai ih tahnu loe kasang imnawk baktiah oh; to pongah a hmaa ah palung han koiah ka oh.
I am a wall, and my breasts are as towers; I was in their eyes as one that found peace.
11 Solomon loe Baal Hamon ah misur takha maeto tawnh; to misur takha loe minawk hanah toepsak; athaih to caak o pongah kami maeto boih mah sumkanglung phoisa sangto sinh o.
Solomon had a vineyard in Beelamon; he let his vineyard to keepers; every one was to bring for its fruit a thousand [pieces] of silver.
12 Kai ih misur takha loe ka hmaa ah oh, kaimah han khue ni oh; Aw Solomon, phoisa sangto loe nangmah hanah suem ah, cumvai hnetto loe takha khenzawnkung hanah paek ah.
My vineyard, even mine, is before me; Solomon [shall have] a thousand, and they that keep its fruit two hundred.
13 Takha thungah kaom kami, nam puinawk loe na lok to tahngaih o; kai doeh lok na tahngaisak toeng ah.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: make me hear [it].
14 Ka tlangai, karangah angzo ah, hmuihoih maenawk nui ih tasuk baktiah angzo ah.
Away, my kinsman, and be like a doe or a fawn on the mountains of spices.
