< Solomon Laa 1 >
1 Laanawk thungah kahoih koek loe Solomon angmah ih laa hae boeh ni.
The Song of songs, which is Solomon's.
2 A pahni hoiah na mok nasoe, nang palunghaih loe misurtui pongah hoih kue.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy breasts are better than wine.
3 Na hmuihoihaih loe paroeai koeh han koiah oh; na hmin loe bawh ih hmuihoih tui ah oh; to pongah kacuem tanglanawk mah nang to ang palung o.
And the smell of thine ointments is better than all spices: thy name is ointment poured forth; therefore do the young maidens love thee.
4 Kai hae na zae ving ah, cawnhaih hoiah na hnukah kang bang o han; siangpahrang mah angmah ih imkhaan thungah ang hoih; kaicae loe nang ah ka nawm o moe, kang hoe o han; misurtui pongah doeh nang palunghaih to kam oek o haih kue; nang loe nihcae mah palung tangtang ih kami ah na oh.
They have drawn thee: we will run after thee, for the smell of thine ointments: the king has brought me into closet: let us rejoice and be glad in thee; we will love thy breasts more than wine: righteousness loves thee.
5 Aw Jerusalem canunawk, kai loe ngan amnum, toe Kedar ih kahni im baktih, Solomon iimkhaan pakaahaih kahni baktiah, palung akap han koi kaom ah ka oh.
I am black, but beautiful, ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6 Ni kabae mah paaem moe, ngan kam num pongah, na khen o kuur hmah; kam no ih caanawk mah palung ang phui o thuih pongah, misur takha khenzawnkung ah ang suek o; kaimah ih misur takha loe ka pahnong sut boeh.
Look not upon me, because I am dark, because the sun has looked unfavourably upon me: my mother's sons strove with me; they made me keeper in the vineyards; I have not kept my own vineyard.
7 Kang palung ih nang oe, tuunawk to naah maw na pacah, naa ih ahmuen ah maw athun ah tuunawk to nang haksak, na thui ah; tipongah kai loe nam pui kalah tuu toepkung hnukah, loklam amkhraeng moe, kahni hoi mikhmai kakhuk khoep nongpata baktiah ka oh han loe?
Tell me, [thou] whom my soul loves, where thou tendest thy flock, where thou causest [them] to rest at noon, lest I become as one that is veiled by the flocks of thy companions.
8 Nongpatanawk thungah kranghoih koek, na panoek ai nahaeloe, tuu caehhaih khokkong to parui ah loe, tuutoep kaminawk ih kahni im taengah nangmah ih maeh caanawk to pacah ah.
If thou know not thyself, thou fair one among women, go thou forth by the footsteps of the flocks, and feed thy kids by the shepherd's tents.
9 Aw kang palung duek ih tlangai, nang loe Faro ih hrang lakok karuet hrang hoiah kang patah.
I have likened thee, my companion, to my horses in the chariots of Pharao.
10 Naa ah na buen ih naaphaeh hoi tahnong ah na oih ih sui bungmu mah na tangbaengnawk to krang ang hoisak.
How are thy cheeks beautiful as [those] of a dove, thy neck as chains!
11 Sumkanglung tui hoi sui hoiah pazut ih bungmu to nang hanah kang sak pae o han.
We will make thee figures of gold with studs of silver.
12 Siangpahrang angmah ih caboi taengah anghnut naah, kai ih hmuihoih tui to amsong.
So long as the king was at table, my spikenard gave forth its smell.
13 Ka palung duek ih ka tlangai loe aqum puek ka tahnu salakah kaom myrrh hmuihoih tui baktiah oh.
My kinsman is to me a bundle of myrrh; he shall lie between my breasts.
14 Kai ih tlangai loe En Gedi misur takha thung ih apawk tangoeng baktiah oh.
My kinsman is to me a cluster of camphor in the vineyards of Engaddi.
15 Khenah, krang na hoih parai! Ka tlangai, khenah, na krang hoih parai; na mik doeh pahuu mik baktiah oh.
Behold, thou art fair, my companion; behold, thou art fair; thine eyes are doves.
16 Khenah, nang loe kranghoih parai! Ka thlangai, ue, palung han akap parai! iihkhun khukhaih kahni doeh hing suep.
Behold, thou art fair, my kinsman, yea, beautiful, overshadowing our bed.
17 Aihnik ih im sakhaih tungnawk loe sidar thing hoiah sak moe, imphu doeh hmaica thing hoiah ni sak.
The beams of our house are cedars, our ceilings are of cypress.
