The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, that he might show to his servants the things that must shortly come to pass; and he sent it by his angel, and made it known to his servant John,
2 Johan loe Sithaw ih lok hoi Jesu Kri hnukung ah oh, a hnuk ih hmuennawk boih Johan mah taphong.
who bore testimony to the word of God, and recorded the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatever things he saw.
3 Atue zoi boeh pongah, angzo hankoi hae taphong ih lok hae tahngai moe, kroek kami, a thungah tarik ih hmuennawk pakuem kami loe tahamhoih.
Blessed is he that reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it; for the time is at hand.
4 Johan mah Asia prae thungah kaom sarihto kricaabunawk khaeah, kaom li, kaom tangcae, kaom hankoi hoi angmah ih angraeng tangkhang hmaa ah kaom sarihto Muithla khae hoiah,
John to the seven churches that are in Asia, grace be to you and peace from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven spirits which are before his throne;
5 oep kaom hnukung, kadueh kami thung hoi tapen tangsuek ah kaom capa, long siangpahrangnawk ukkung, Jesu Kri khae hoi ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih to nangcae khaeah om nasoe. Anih mah aicae palung pongah, angmah ih athii hoiah aicae zaehaih to pasaeh boeh,
and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first-born from the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. To him that loves us, and that has washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 Anih mah aicae to angmah ih Sithaw hoi Ampa khaeah siangpahrang hoi qaima ah ohsak boeh. Anih khaeah lensawkhaih hoi thacakhaih dungzan ah om poe nasoe. Amen. (aiōn g165)
and has made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and might from age to age. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Khenah, anih loe tamai hoi nawnto angzo tih, kaminawk boih mah anih to hnu o tih, anih thunh kaminawk mah doeh hnu o tih: anih pongah long kaminawk boih qah o tih. To tiah om tih, Amen.
Behold, he comes with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and those also who pierced him: and all the tribes of the land shall lament because of him. Even so. Amen.
8 Kai loe Alpha hoi Omega, amtonghaih hoi boenghaih ah ka oh, tiah kaom li, kaom tangcae hoi kaom hankoi, Thacak, Angraeng mah thuih.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
9 Jesu Kri ah patangkhanghaih hoi a prae thungah raihaih nangcae hoi nawnto pauep, nam nawk ah kaom, kai, Johan loe Sithaw lok hoi Jesu Kri ih tamthanglok ka thuih pongah, Patmost, tiah kawk ih tui mah takui khoep ih prae ah ka oh.
I John, your brother and companion in the affliction, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the island called Patmos, on account of the word of God, and on account of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 Angraeng ih niah kai loe Muithla hoiah ka oh, ka hnukah kaom mongkah tuen baktiah katuen, kalen parai lok to ka thaih,
I was in spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice like that of a trumpet,
11 to lok mah, Kai loe Alpha hoi Omega, hmaloe koek hoi hnukkhuem koekah ka oh: na hnuk ih hmuen to cabu thungah tarik ah loe, Asia prae ah kaom, Efisa, Smyrna, Pergamo, Thyatira, Sardi, Philadelphia hoi Laodicia kricaabunawk khaeah pat ah, tiah ang naa.
saying: What you see, write in a book, and send to the seven churches; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
12 To pacoengah kai khaeah lokthui kami to hnuk hanah kang qoi, to naah sui hoiah sak ih hmai paaanghaih sarihto ka hnuk;
And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me: and having turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,
13 to hmai paaanghaih sarihto thung ih maeto loe, Kami Capa baktiah oh, anih loe khok khoek to kapha kahni to angkhuk moe, saoek ah sui kahni to angzaeng.
and in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like the Son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to his feet, and girded about the breast with a golden girdle.
14 Anih ih lu hoi sam loe tuumui hoi dantui baktiah anglung; a mik loe hmaipalai baktiah oh;
His head and his hair were white as white wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 a khok loe hmai pangaeh ih, kampha sum kamling baktiah oh, a lok loe kalen parai tacang tui tuen baktiah oh.
and his feet were like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace: and his voice was like the voice of many waters.
16 Anih ih bantang ban hoiah cakaeh sarihto patawnh, anih ih pakha thung hoiah loe ahnuk ahmaa kanoe sumsen to tacawt: a mikhmai loe athun ih ni aengh baktiah aang.
And he had in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth went a sharp, two-edged sword: arid his face was as the sun when it shines in its strength.
17 Anih to ka hnuk naah, kadueh baktiah a khokkung ah kam timh. Toe a bantang ban hoiah ang sui moe, Zii hmah; Kai loe hmaloe koek hoi hnukkhuem koekah ka oh:
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not, I am the First and the Last,
19 na hnuk ih hmuen, vaihi kaom li hmuen hoi kaom hankoi hmuennawk to tarik ah;
Write, therefore, the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and those which shall be hereafter;
20 panoek han karai na hnuk ih ka bantang ban ih sui hmai paaanghaih sarihto hoi cakaeh sarihtonawk loe hae tiah oh: cakaeh sarihto loe kricaabu sarihto ukkung van kaminawk ah oh, na hnuk ih hmai paaanghaih sarihto loe kricaabu sarihto thuih koehhaih ih ni, tiah ang naa.
the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.
