1 Ezrahite Ethan ih Maskil. Angraeng palungnathaih to dungzan khoek to laa ah ka sak han; na oepthohhaih to kaminawk boih khaeah ka pakha hoi roe ka thuih han.
Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; to all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
2 Palungnathaih loe dungzan khoek to caak tih; vannawk boih nuiah na oepthohhaih to na caksak tih.
For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; in the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
3 Ka qoih ih kami hoiah lokmaihaih to ka sak moe, ka tamna David khaeah lokmaihaih to ka sak boeh,
I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
4 na tii to dungzan khoek to ka caksak moe, na caanawk ih adung khoek to na angraeng tangkhang to ka caksak han, tiah na thuih. (Selah)
For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' (Selah)
5 Aw Angraeng, na sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk to vannawk mah saphaw o ueloe, na oepthohhaih doeh kaciim kaminawk amkhuenghaih ahmuen ah saphaw o tih.
So shall the heavens praise Thy wonders, O LORD, Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 Van ah Angraeng hoi patah han koi mi maw kaom? Thacak kami ih capanawk thungah Angraeng baktiah mi maw kaom?
For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD, who among the sons of might can be likened unto the LORD,
7 Kaciim kaminawk amkhuenghaih ahmuen ah loe Angraeng to paroeai zit o; anih loe ataeng ah kaom kaminawk pongah khingya paek han koi ah oh.
A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?
8 Aw misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng Sithaw, nang baktih thacak Angraeng mi maw om tih? Na oepthohhaih mah nang to ang takui.
O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto Thee, O LORD? And Thy faithfulness is round about Thee.
9 Nang mah tuipui to na uk; tuiphu angthawk tahang naah, tuiphu to na dipsak.
Thou rulest the proud swelling of the sea; when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them.
10 Hum ih kami baktiah, Rahab to na taprawt pet pet moe, na ban thacakhaih hoiah na misanawk to na vah phaeng.
Thou didst crush Rahab, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter Thine enemies with the arm of Thy strength.
11 Vannawk loe nang ih hmuen ah oh o, long doeh nang ih ni; long hoi athung ah kaom hmuennawk boih loe, nang mah ni na sak.
Thine are the heavens, Thine also the earth; the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.
12 Aluek hoi aloih to na sak; Tarbo hoi Hermon loe na hmin rang hoiah anghoe tih.
The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
13 Na ban loe thacakhaih hoiah koi; na ban loe thacak moe, na bantang ban loe sang.
Thine is an arm with might; strong is Thy hand, and exalted is Thy right hand.
14 Katoengah lokcaekhaih hoi toenghaih loe na angraeng tangkhang ohhaih ahmuen ah oh; tahmenhaih hoi loktang loe na hmaa ah caeh tih.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; mercy and truth go before Thee.
15 Anghoehaih lok panoek kaminawk loe tahamhoih! Aw Angraeng, nihcae loe na hmaa ah aanghaih hoiah caeh o.
Happy is the people that know the joyful shout; they walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance.
16 Nihcae loe na hmin rang hoiah ni thokkruek anghoe o; na toenghaih rang hoiah ni nihcae mah pakoeh o.
In Thy name do they rejoice all the day; and through Thy righteousness are they exalted.
17 Nang loe nihcae lensawkhaih hoi thacakhaih ah na oh; nang tahmenhaih rang hoiah ni kaicae ih taki loe pakoeh ah oh.
For Thou art the glory of their strength; and in Thy favour our horn is exalted.
18 Kaicae abuephaih loe Angraeng ih ni; Ciimcai Israelnawk ih kami loe kaicae ih siangpahrang ah oh.
For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 Hnuksakhaih hoiah nangmah ih kaciim kami khaeah lok na thuih; thacak kami abomh hanah kang paek boeh; kaminawk thung hoi qoih ih kami maeto ka sangsak boeh.
Then Thou spokest in vision to Thy godly ones, and saidst: 'I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 Ka tamna David to ka hnuk boeh; anih loe kaciim kaimah ih situi hoiah ka bawh boeh,
I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him;
21 anih nuiah ka ban thacak tih; ka ban tampawk hoiah anih tha ka caksak han.
With whom My hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 Misa mah anih ih hmuen to lomh pae mak ai; kasae kami ih ca mah doeh anih to pacaekthlaek mak ai.
The enemy shall not exact from him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 Anih hmaa ah a misanawk to ka boh pae moe, anih hnuma kaminawk to raihaih ka paek han.
And I will beat to pieces his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.
24 Ka oepthohhaih hoi ka palungnathaih anih khaeah om ueloe, ka hmin rang hoiah anih ih taki to pakoeh tih.
But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and through My name shall his horn be exalted.
25 Anih ih ban loe tuipui nuiah ka suek pae moe, a bantang ban to vapuinawk nuiah ka koeng pae han.
I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
26 Anih mah, Nang loe kam pa, ka Sithaw, ka pahlonghaih lungsong, tiah na kawk tih.
He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Anih to long siangpahrangnawk pongah sang kue, anih to ka calu ah ka suek han.
I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 Anih hanah ka palungnathaih dungzan khoek to ka suek han; ka lokmaihaih loe a nuiah cak poe tih.
For ever will I keep for him My mercy, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 Anih ih atii to dungzan khoek to ka caksak moe, van oh nathung anih anghnuthaih angraeng tangkhang to ka caksak poe han.
His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 A caanawk mah ka paek ih kaalok caeh o taak moe, ka lokcaekhaih baktiah caeh o ai ah,
If his children forsake My law, and walk not in Mine ordinances;
31 ka thuih ih loknawk to aek o moe, ka paek ih loknawk to pazui o ai nahaeloe,
If they profane My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
32 a sakpazaehaihnawk pongah thingboeng hoiah ka thuitaek moe, a sakpazae o haih baktih toengah dan ka paek han.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.
33 Toe kai ih tahmen amlunghaih to anih khae hoiah ka la pae ving mak ai, ka oepthohhaih doeh kam rosak mak ai.
But My mercy will I not break off from him, nor will I be false to My faithfulness.
34 Ka sak ih lokmaihaih to kam rosak mak ai, pakha hoi ka thuih ih lok doeh kam khraisak mak ai.
My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.
35 David khaeah lok kam lai mak ai, tiah ka ciimhaih hoi vaito ka khawt ah lok ka kam boeh.
Once have I sworn by My holiness: Surely I will not be false unto David;
36 Anih ih atii loe cak poe ueloe, anih ih angraeng tangkhang loe ka hmaa ih ni baktiah om tih.
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
37 Khrah baktiah cak poe ueloe, van ih oepthok hnukung baktiah om tih. (Selah)
It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' (Selah)
38 Toe nang mah nang pahnawt sut boeh moe, nang panuet boeh, situi na bawh ih kami nuiah palung na phui boeh.
But Thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
39 Na tamna hoiah sak ih lokmaihaih to na pahnawt sut boeh moe, anih ih angraeng lumuek to panuet kaom long ah na vah pae ving boeh.
Thou hast abhorred the covenant of Thy servant; Thou hast profaned his crown even to the ground.
40 Anih ih sipaenawk to na phraek pae boih boeh; anih ih kacak sipaenawk doeh nam rosak boeh.
Thou hast broken down all his fences; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
41 Loklam ah caeh kaminawk mah anih to lomh o; anih loe ataeng ah kaom kaminawk kasaethuih han koi ah oh.
All that pass by the way spoil him; he is become a taunt to his neighbours.
42 A misanawk ih bantang ban to na toengh pae tahang; a misanawk boih to nang hoesak boeh.
Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Anih ih sumsen haa to na paqoi pae ving boeh; anih misatuk naah nang doe haih ai boeh.
Yea, Thou turnest back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 A lensawkhaih to na boengsak moe, anih ih angraeng tangkhang to long ah na vah pae ving boeh.
Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 A qoeng li naah aninawk to na duemsak; azathaih hoiah anih to na khuk khoep boeh. (Selah)
The days of his youth hast Thou shortened; Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 Nasetto maw? Aw Angraeng, nang hawk poe han boeh maw? Palung na phuihaih hmai baktiah kangh tih maw?
How long, O LORD, wilt Thou hide Thyself for ever? How long shall Thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Ka hinghaih loe nasetto maw duemh, tito panoek ah; na sak ih kaminawk loe azom pui ah ni oh o.
O remember how short my time is; for what vanity hast Thou created all the children of men!
48 Kawbaktih kami maw duekhaih tongh ai ah hing thaih? Anih loe taprong thacakhaih thung hoiah a hinghaih pahlong thai tih maw? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
What man is he that liveth and shall not see death, that shall deliver his soul from the power of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Aw Angraeng, loktang lok hoiah na tamna David khaeah na sak ih lokmaihaih hoi canghnii ih na tahmenhaih to naah maw oh ving boeh?
Where are Thy former mercies, O Lord, which Thou didst swear unto David in Thy faithfulness?
50 Angraeng, na tamnanawk pahnuithuihhaih to pakuem poe ah; thacak kaminawk boih mah kasaethuihaih to palung thung hoi kawbang maw ka pauep, tito panoek ah,
Remember, Lord, the taunt of Thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the taunt of so many peoples;
51 Aw Angraeng, na misanawk mah kasae a thuih o; nihcae loe nangmah na caksak kami ih khok tangkannawk to pahnui o thuih boeh.
Wherewith Thine enemies have taunted, O LORD, wherewith they have taunted the footsteps of Thine anointed.
52 Angraeng khaeah tahamhoihaih dungzan khoek to om nasoe! Amen hoi Amen.
Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
