< Saam 84 >
1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. Gittih baktiah sak koi Korah caanawk ih Saam laa. Aw misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, na ohhaih kahni im loe kawkruk maw palung han oh!
[For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by the sons of Korah.] How lovely are your dwellings, LORD of hosts.
2 Ue, Angraeng ih longhmaa to dawn loiah, ka hinghaih loe zaisut boeh; ka palungthin hoi ka ngan mah kahing Sithaw to kawk.
My soul longs, yes, yearns for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Aw misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, ka Siangpahrang hoi ka Sithaw, ue, na hmaicam ah, paritca mah tabu sak, a caa khaek haih hanah, pungpae mah tabu to boh.
Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4 Na im ah kaom kaminawk loe tahamhoih o; nang to saphaw o poe tih. (Selah)
Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are ever praising you. (Selah)
5 Nang ah thacakhaih tawn kaminawk loe tahamhoih o; to kaminawk loe na loklam bangah palungthin to suek o.
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6 Nihcae Baca azawn ah caeh o naah, tuibap tui to takaeh o; khotui mah tui hoiah koisak.
Passing through the Valley of Baca, he makes it into a spring. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7 Nihcae loe thacak o aep, Zion ih kaminawk loe Sithaw hmaa ah angphong o boih.
They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.
8 Aw misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng Sithaw, lawk ka thuihaih hae tahngai ah; aw Jakob Sithaw, tahngai rae ah.
LORD, God of hosts, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. (Selah)
9 Khenah, Aw Sithaw kaicae abuephaih, nangmah na caksak kami ih mikhmai to khen ah.
Look, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
10 Ahmuen kalah bangah saning sangto oh pongah loe, nangmah ih longhmaa ah nito oh hae hoih kue. Kasae kaminawk ih kahni im ah oh pongah loe, ka Angraeng im thungah thok toepkung ah ka oh khoek roek han.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 Angraeng Sithaw loe ni hoi abuephaih ah oh; Angraeng mah tahmenhaih hoi lensawkhaih to paek tih; loklam katoengah caeh kaminawk hanah loe hmuen kahoih roe paawt pae mak ai.
For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 Aw misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, nang oephaih tawn kami loe tahamhoih.
LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
