< Saam 82 >
1 Asaph ih Saam laa. Sithaw loe thacak kaminawk salakah angdoet; sithawnawk salakah lokcaek.
A psalm of Asaph. God has taken his stand in the divine assembly: in the midst of the gods he holds judgment.
2 Nangcae loe kasae kaminawk to nang sak o haih moe, katoeng ai ah nasetto maw lok na caek o han vop? (Selah)
‘How long will you crookedly judge, and favour the wicked? (Selah)
3 Amtang kami hoi ampa tawn ai kaminawk to abom oh; amtang kami hoi patangkhang kaminawk khaeah toenghaih hoiah lokcaek ah.
Do right by the weak and the orphan, acquit the innocent poor.
4 Amtang kami hoi kangaih kaminawk to pahnawt hmah; kasae kami ban thung hoiah pahlong ah.
Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the hand of the wicked.
5 Nihcae loe tidoeh panoek o ai, panoek thaihaih doeh tawn o ai; kaving thungah amkaeh o; long ohhaih ahmuennawk boih loe cak ai.
‘They have neither knowledge nor insight, in darkness they walk to and fro, while the earth’s foundations totter.
6 Kai mah, Nangcae loe long sithaw ah na oh o; nangcae loe Kasang koek ih caa ah na oh o, tiah ka thuih.
It was I who appointed you gods, children of the Most High all of you.
7 Toe nangcae loe kaminawk baktiah na dueh o ueloe, ukkung minawk kalah baktiah ni nam tim o toeng tih.
Yet like mortals you will surely die, you will fall like any prince.’
8 Aw Sithaw, angthawk ah loe, long hae lokcaek ah; long kaminawk boih loe nang ih qawktoep kami ah ni oh o.
Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all nations are yours by inheritance.
