1 Solomon ih Saam laa. Aw Sithaw, katoeng na lokcaekhaih to siangpahrang han paek ah loe, na toenghaih to siangpahrang ih capa hanah paek ah.
Of Solomon. Give the king, O God, your own spirit of justice your spirit of right to the son of the king,
2 Anih loe nangmah ih kaminawk to toenghaih hoiah lokcaek ueloe, nangmah ih amtang kaminawk hanah toenghaih to paek tih.
that with right he may judge your people, and your downtrodden ones with justice.
3 Maenawk mah kaminawk khaeah monghaih to sin tih; maesomnawk mah toenghaih athaih to sin pae tih.
May the mountains bear weal for the people, and the hills yield fruits of justice.
4 Anih mah amtang kaminawk to lokcaek tih; kavawt kaminawk ih caanawk to pahlong ueloe, pacaekthlaek kaminawk to anghma angtaasak tih.
The weak may he help to their rights, may he save the sons of the needy and crush the oppressor in pieces.
5 Ni hoi khrah oh nathung, adung kaminawk boih mah, nang to zii o tih.
May he live as long as the sun, while the moon shines – for ages and ages.
6 Anih loe aah kok ih phroh nuiah kakrah khotui baktih, long duksak khotui baktiah, angzo tathuk tih.
May he be like the rain on the meadow, like showers that water the earth.
7 Katoeng kami loe anih oh nathung khosak hoihaih to tawn o tih; khrah anghma ai karoek to, pop parai monghaih to om tih.
In his days may justice flourish, and welfare abound, till the moon be no more.
8 Tuipui maeto hoi maeto bang khoek to, vapui hoi long boenghaih khoek to, anih mah uk tih.
May he reign from ocean to ocean, from the river to the ends of the earth.
9 Praezaek ah kaom kaminawk loe anih hmaa ah tabok o tih; a misanawk loe maiphu to palaek o tih.
May his foes bow down before him, his enemies lick the dust.
10 Tarshish siangpahrang hoi tuipui thungah kaom prae ukkung siangpahrangnawk mah tangqum to sin o tih; Sheba hoi Seba siangpahrangnawk mah doeh tangqum to paek o tih.
May tribute be rendered by kings of the isles and of Tarshish; may gifts be brought by the kings of Sheba and Seba.
11 Ue, siangpahrangnawk boih anih hmaa ah tabok o tih; prae congca kaminawk boih mah anih ih tok to sah pae o tih.
May all kings fall prostrate before him, and all nations yield him their service.
12 Kavawt kami hoi bomkung tawn ai amtang kaminawk qah o naah, anih mah pathloep tih.
For he saves the poor when he cries, the helpless and the downtrodden.
13 Anih mah amtang kami hoi kavawt kaminawk to tahmen ueloe, kavawt kaminawk hinghaih to pahlong tih.
He pities the weak and the poor, he saves the lives of the poor.
14 Alinghaih hoi pacaekthlaekhaih thung hoiah nihcae hinghaih to loisak tih; nihcae ih athii loe a mikhnuk ah atho om tih.
He redeems them from wrong and from violence, for dear is their blood in his sight.
15 Anih loe hinglung sawk tih; anih khaeah Sheba ih sui to paek o tih; apet ai ah anih han lawkthui pae o ueloe, ni thokkruek anih to saphaw o tih.
Long may he live; and may gold of Sheba be given him; prayer, too, be made for him ceaselessly, all the day long may men bless him.
16 Long ah cang pung tih, Lebanon baktiah maesangnawk nuiah athaih tacawt tih; vangpui thung ih kaminawk loe long ih phroh baktiah qoeng o tahang tih.
May the land have abundance of corn, to the tops of the hills may it wave. May the fruit thereof flourish like Lebanon, may men spring from the city like grass of the earth.
17 Ahmin loe dungzan khoek to cak tih; ni oh nathung Anih ih ahmin to om poe tih. Anih rang hoiah kaminawk tahamhoih o tih; prae congca kaminawk mah anih to tahamhoihaih, tiah kawk o tih.
May his name be blessed forever, may his fame endure as the sun. May all nations envy his blessedness, all tribes of the earth call him happy.
18 Israel Sithaw, Angraeng Sithaw loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe; anih mah khue ni dawnrai hmuennawk to sak!
Blest be the Lord God, Israel’s God, who alone does wonders;
19 Anih ih ahmin lensawkhaih loe dungzan khoek to om nasoe! Long boih a lensawkhaih hoiah koi nasoe. Amen hoi Amen.
And blest be forever his glorious name. Let all the earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
