For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.

I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue.
18 Palung thungah zaehaih ka suek poe nahaeloe, Angraeng mah ka lok hae tahngai mak ai;
If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
19 toe Sithaw mah ka lok ang tahngai pae tangtang; lawk ka thuihaih lok to ang tahngaih pae.
But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.
20 Lawk ka thuihaih anghmasak ai, ka nuiah suek ih a palungnathaih to apet ai, Sithaw khaeah tahamhoihaih om nasoe!
Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.
