1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. David ih Saam laa. Aw Sithaw, lawk ka thuihaih hae tahngai ah; misa zithaih thung hoiah ka hinghaih hae pakaa ah.
God, listen to me as I tell you the things that I am worried about. I am afraid of my enemies; so save/rescue me from them.
2 Kasae kaminawk mah tamquta hoi thuih o ih lokramhaih thung hoiah na pakaa ah loe, sethaih sah kaminawk salak hoiah na hawk ah;
Protect me from what wicked men are planning to do to me; protect me from that gang of men who do what is evil.
3 nihcae loe palai to sumsen baktiah taak o; palaa to kah hanah kalii anueng baktiah, loksae hoiah kami to patoep o,
The hostile things they say [MTY] are like [SIM] [sharp] swords; their cruel words are like [SIM] arrows.
4 coek koi om ai kami to tamquta hoi kah hanah patoep o moe, zithaih tawn ai ah anih to kah o roep.
Without being afraid, they [lie about people and slander people] who have not done what is wrong, like someone who suddenly jumps up from where he is hiding and shoots [arrows] at his enemy [MET].
5 Nihcae loe kasae hmuen sakhaih bangah maeto hoi maeto tha ang paek o; mi mah maw nihcae to hnu tih, tiah poek o moe, tamquta hoi thaang patung hanah a thuih o.
They encourage each other about doing the evil things that they are planning to do; they talk [with each other] about where they can set traps to catch people, and they think, “No one [RHQ] will see what we are doing,
6 Nihcae loe kahoih ai hmuen sak hanah pakrong o; kahoih ai hmuen to ka sak o tangtang han, palung thungah a poek o ih hmuen loe thuk parai.
because we have planned very well the crime that we are going to commit!” No one can fully understand what people can think and plan!
7 Toe Sithaw mah nihcae to palaa hoiah kat tih; nihcae loe poek ai pui hoiah ahma caa o tih.
But [it will be as though] God will shoot his arrows at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.
8 Angmacae ih palai to angmacae nuiah krah o sak let tih; nihcae hnu kaminawk boih cawn o tih.
Because of what they say [MTY], he will get rid of them, and then everyone who sees [what has happened to] them will shake their heads [to ridicule them].
9 Kaminawk boih mah nihcae to zii o ueloe, Sithaw toksakhaih to taphong o tih, to naah anih mah sak ih hmuen to nihcae mah poek o tih.
And then everyone will be afraid [to sin because of what might happen to them, also]; they will tell others what God has done, and they themselves will think much about it.
10 Katoeng kami loe Angraeng ah anghoe ueloe, anih khaeah abuep tih; poek toeng kaminawk boih lensawkhaih hoiah om o tih.
Righteous people should rejoice because of what Yahweh [has done]; they should go to him to (find protection/be safe); and all those who are godly will praise him.
