< Saam 63 >
1 Judah praezaek ah oh naah, David ih Saam laa. Aw Sithaw, nang loe ka Sithaw ah na oh; nang to kang pakrong han; tui om ai praezaek ah, ka pakhra mah nang hae tui ah anghaeh moe, ka taksa mah nang to poek.
A Psalm of David, in his being in the wilderness of Judah. O God, Thou [art] my God, earnestly do I seek Thee, Thirsted for Thee hath my soul, Longed for Thee hath my flesh, In a land dry and weary, without waters.
2 Na thacakhaih hoi na lensawkhaih to hnuk hanah, hmuenciim ah nang kang pakrong moe, kang hnuk boeh.
So in the sanctuary I have seen Thee, To behold Thy strength and Thine honour.
3 Nang tahmenhaih loe hinghaih pongah hoih kue baktih toengah, pahni hoiah nang kang pakoeh han.
Because better [is] Thy kindness than life, My lips do praise Thee.
4 Ka hing thung tahamhoihaih kang paek han, na hmin hoiah ban ka payangh han.
So I bless Thee in my life, in Thy name I lift up my hands.
5 Tangkhring hoi kathawk moi baktiah, ka hinghaih mah zok amhah tih, ka pahni mah anghoehaih laa to sah ueloe, ka pakha mah nang to pakoeh tih.
As [with] milk and fatness is my soul satisfied, And [with] singing lips doth my mouth praise.
6 Ka iihkhun hoi nang to kang panoek poe moe, aqum puek nang to kang poek han.
If I have remembered Thee on my couch, In the watches — I meditate on Thee.
7 Nang loe kai bomkung ah na oh pongah, na pakhraeh tahlip ah kang hoe han.
For Thou hast been a help to me, And in the shadow of Thy wings I sing.
8 Ka hinghaih loe nang khaeah ni amha, na bantang ban hoiah nang patawnh.
Cleaved hath my soul after Thee, On me hath Thy right hand taken hold.
9 Ka pakhra paro han pakrong kaminawk loe, longkhaw thungah caeh o tih.
And they who for desolation seek my soul, Go in to the lower parts of the earth.
10 Nihcae loe sumsen hoi amtimh o ueloe, tasuinawk ih rawkcak ah angcoeng o tih.
They cause him to run on the edge of the sword, A portion for foxes they are.
11 Toe siangpahrang loe Sithaw ah anghoe tih; anih hoi lokkamhaih sah kaminawk loe lensawk o tih; toe amsawnlok thui kaminawk ih pakha loe tamuep pae khoep tih.
And the king doth rejoice in God, Boast himself doth every one swearing by Him, But stopped is the mouth of those speaking lies!
