1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. Jeduthun ah sak koi David ih Saam laa. Tangtang ni, ka hinghaih mah laisaep ai ah Sithaw to zing; kai pahlonghaih doeh anih khae hoiah ni angzoh.
To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.
2 Anih khue ni ka lungsong hoi ka pahlonghaih ah oh; anih loe kai ih sipae ah oh pongah, mawnh paraihaih ka tawn mak ai.
He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 Kami maeto to nasetto maw na tuk o han? Kai loe amtimh tom sipae, angkhaa thai ai khongkha baktiah ni ka oh boeh, nangcae boih mah nasetto thungah maw nang hum o han vop?
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall [shall ye be], [and as] a tottering fence.
4 Nihcae loe ka ohhaih hmuensang hoiah kai pakhrak hanah poek o; lok amlai o; pakha hoiah tahamhoihaih to paek o, toe palung thung hoiah loe kasae to a thuih o. (Selah)
They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellence: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)
5 Ka hinghaih loe, laisaep ai ah Sithaw khue ni zing; ka oephaih doeh anih khae hoiah ni angzoh.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.
6 Anih khue ni ka lungsong hoi ka pahlonghaih ah oh; anih loe kai ih sipae ah oh pongah, mawnh paraihaih ka tawn mak ai.
He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defense; I shall not be moved.
7 Ka pahlonghaih hoi ka lensawkhaih loe Sithaw khaeah ni oh; ka thacakhaih lungsong hoi ka buephaih loe Sithaw ni.
In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.
8 Aw kaminawk, anih khaeah amha o poe ah loe, anih khaeah palungthin to paek oh; Sithaw loe aicae abuephaih ah oh. (Selah)
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. (Selah)
9 Tangtang ni, khosak kahnaem kaminawk loe takhi khue ah ni oh o, khosak sang kaminawk doeh amsawnlok thui kami ah ni oh o; tahhaih hoiah tah naah, nihcae loe takhi pongah anghoep o kue.
Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.
10 Pacaekthlaekhaih to oep hmah loe, lomh ih hmuenmae pongah doeh amoek o hmah; hmuenmae hoi angraeng parai naah, to hmuenmae nuiah na poekhaih suem hmah.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].
11 Sithaw mah lok vaito thuih; vai hnetto thuih naah, thacakhaih loe Sithaw ih ni, tiah ka thaih.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongeth] to God.
12 Aw Angraeng, nang loe palungnathaih hoiah na koi; nang loe kaminawk boih hanah a tok sakhaih baktih toengah tangqum to na paek.
Also to thee, O LORD, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
