< Saam 60 >
1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. David ih Miktam. Anih ih bungmu loe lokmaihaih sak ih Lili pawk. Patuk hanah, David mah phawh ih Saam laa. Aram Naharaim hoi Aram Zobah to misa a tuk moe, Joab amlaem pacoengah paloi khaw ohhaih ahmuen ah Edom kami sang, hathlai hnetto hum nathuem ih. Aw Sithaw, kaicae hae nang pahnawt sut boeh, kaicae nam hetsak phang boeh moe, palung na phui boeh; kaicae khaeah angqoi let ah!
To the Chief Musician. Upon "The Lily of Testimony." A precious Psalm of David, to instruct. When he waged war with Aram-neharaim, and with Aram-zobah, —and then Joab returned and smote of Edom in the Valley of Salt, twelve thousand. O God, thou hast rejected us—hast scattered us, Thou hast been angry, Wilt thou restore us?
2 Long to nang huensak moe, na koihsak boeh; kakoinawk to pacong let ah, anghuen o khing vop.
Thou hast shaken the land—hast rent it, Heal thou the fractures thereof—for it hath tottered:
3 Nangmah ih kaminawk to karai hmuen na tongsak boeh; anghmanghaih misurtui to nang naeksak boeh.
Thou hast suffered thy people to see hardship, Thou hast let them drink the wine of confusion.
4 Loktang lok ah oh pongah, nang zithaih tawn kaminawk khaeah, payang han ih pazawkhaih kahni to na paek. (Selah)
Thou hadst given—to them that revere thee—a banner, to float aloft, Because of [thy] faithfulness. (Selah)
5 Nang palung kaminawk loisak hanah, ka lok tahngai pae ah loe, na bantang ban hoiah pahlong ah.
That thy beloved ones may be delivered, Save thou with thine own right hand—and answer us.
6 Sithaw loe angmah ih hmuen ciim hoiah lokthuih boeh pongah, kang hoe han, Shekem vangpui to ka taphraek moe, Sukkot azawn to ka tah han.
God, hath spoken in his holiness—I will exult! I will apportion Shechem, And, the Vale of Succoth, will I measure out;
7 Gilead loe kai ih ni, Manasseh doeh kai ih ni; Ephraim loe ka lu thacakhaih ah oh moe, Judah loe ka loihhaih ah oh.
Mine, is Gilead—and mine, Manasseh, But, Ephraim, is the defence, of my head, Judah, is my commander’s staff;
8 Moab loe kam saehhaih sabae kathuk ah oh; Edom nuiah khokpanai ka vah han; Philistin prae nuiah pazawkhaih hoiah ka hangh han, tiah a thuih.
Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia! raise shout of triumph.
9 Mi mah maw kacak vangpui ah na caeh haih tih? Mi mah maw Edom ah na hoi tih?
Who will conduct me to a fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom!
10 Aw Sithaw, kaicae pahnawt kami loe, nang na ai maw? Aw Sithaw, kaicae misatuh kaminawk hoi nawnto caehsak ai kami loe, nang na ai maw?
Is it not, thou, O God?—thou hast rejected us! And wilt thou not go forth, O God, with our hosts?
11 Kami abomhaih loe azom pui ah oh pongah, raihaih thung hoiah ka loih o thai hanah na bomh ah.
Grant us help out of distress, For, vain, is the deliverance of man:
12 Sithaw rang hoiah ka pazawk o hanah, anih mah kaicae ih misanawk to khok hoiah atii pae tih.
In God, we shall do valiantly, He himself, therefore, will tread down our adversaries.
